Military Experts Blame Biden Admin’s DEI Agenda for Our Shrinking Armed Forces

“The administration, instead of creating a lethal force in raising our technology capabilities, has decided to implement woke progressive policies like renaming bases and funding or providing additional funding for DEI programs”

The United States Military will enter the year 2024 at its smallest size in 80 years. It’s no secret that our armed forces have had a hard time recruiting in recent years, and one of the reasons is the military’s embrace of progressive concepts like DEI.

Some military experts agree and are now speaking out on the subject.

FOX News reports:

Military experts blame Biden’s DEI push as US military enters 2024 with smallest fighting force in 80 years

Military experts sounded the alarm about the Biden administration’s “woke” policies within the Department of Defense as the U.S. military is poised to be the smallest in 80 years, all while facing emerging global threats.

The number of active duty service members has declined by 64,000 within the last three years, bringing the total number of troops down to 1,284,500, according to the Defense Authorization Bill. This means the U.S. military will field the smallest force since before World War II.

Retired Navy SEAL Mike Sarraille accused the White House of treating U.S. troops stationed in the Middle East like “cannon fodder,” arguing the Biden administration’s leadership has heavily impacted the recruitment crisis.

“The few in the military have always carried the burden for the many, but the alarming decrease in numbers not only poses a threat to our national security and defense strategy, but it also raises a question: can we confront the emerging global threats? This is not a recruitment issue. This is a leadership problem,” Sarraille told Carley Shimkus on “Fox & Friends First.”…

“The administration, instead of creating a lethal force in raising our technology capabilities, has decided to implement woke progressive policies like renaming bases and funding or providing additional funding for DEI programs,” he continued.

STARRS is a group made up of retired military people who have been working to raise alarm about DEI and CRT ideology in our armed forces.

A recent post on their website seems to confirm the report cited above:

Do the right thing with regards to the Marxist-based DEI: Bury it.

Email from Lt. Gen Rod Bishop to the USAFA Superintendent:

Rich–as a die hard Falcon football fan, I certainly share with you (and what coach and the team must be a feeling)–i.e, “disappointment” after an 8-0 start of “what could have been.” We all saw the “never give up” attitude, however, in the loss at Boise State, so I sincerely hope the team isn’t hanging their heads–they have lots to be proud of this year!

Also as a die hard supporter of a strong military, I would like to share with you (with thanks to our BOA member, Elaine Donnelly (Founder and President for the Center for Military Readiness, for alerting me to this)–the concern expressed below by the self-described liberal and former NYT editor Bari Weiss. Here is what Elaine sent to me and OSD:

“She (Bari Weiss) makes note that the three words “diversity, equity, and inclusion” usually represent “noble causes,” and continues:

“But in reality these words are now metaphors for an ideological movement bent on recategorizing every American not as an individual, but as an avatar of an identity group, his or her behavior prejudged accordingly setting all of us up in a kind of zero-sum game.” Consequences of this divisive ideology are much worse in the military, where non-discrimination and respect for meritocracy should be paramount values.”

Sound familiar? Along with our advice to you to try and distance the military from BLM (an organization we now see supporting Hamas–let alone the nearly $100M they “stole” from their supporters and their “announced” Marxist training and background) and also warning about the illegal way DOD was going about handling the covid vaccine mandate (6 Federal Courts agreed with us….finally–but not before the military had kicked 8400 patriots to the door), STARRS’ caution against DEI has been equally as strong and consistent.

This is a serious national security issue. The left’s obsession with this ideology is putting the country at risk.

No kidding…..

Thank you, Military Experts, but could you also give us the scores of last week’s NFL games too?

It’s getting to the point where the move “Stripes” will be considered hard core military training at this rate.

Drill instructors to drag instructors.

Can you hear the ChiComs laughing? I can.

Where are the safe places on submarines.

The military historically has been in the forefront of training as many people as possible, smart or dumb, to train to do useful jobs. Now they’re dropping the useful.

Military families are no longer encouraging their youth to join up why? Because the country is no longer worth dying for.

What’s there to worry about? The Biden administration plans to recruit illegals, with no American cultural identity, to defend us.

    This nation is doomed.

“The number of active duty service members has declined by 64,000 within the last three years,”

DEI is a problem, but the current commander-in-chief (spit) or his puppet masters are the real problem. Afghanistan, anyone? The ongoing invasion at all our borders? The ongoing acts of war against our servicemembers in the middle east that have received no answer by the imbecile-in-chief?

My daughter and SIL are active duty. It is worse than you and everyone thinks. There are a ton of them doing only what is necessary to get to retirement and the new recruits, what few there are showing up in the unit, are disturbing. Uneducated, undisciplined, arguing with superiors including officers and everyone is afraid to do anything because they will be thrown out.

This has been planned for years. First, they established Reduction In Forces (RIFs) used against officers, then they went after senior NCO’s, the backbone of the military.

Next, they bought off the mid-range NCO’s by offering buyout of their contracts – this action left the most vulnerable and malleable enlisted defenseless against the Purple Robed Princes of the Pentagon. AND THEN for the grand finale, they fired every troop who demonstrated enough spine to refuse to buckle to the illegal Covid mandates.

All of this, my friends, was implemented to make room so illegals became their golden answer for the enlistment “shortage”.

“This is a serious national security issue. The left’s obsession with this ideology is putting the country at risk.”
And the right will address it in three… two… two… two… two…

So what is next to solve the crisis? Of course it will be offering enlistment to illegal aliens with the promised award of citizenship afterwards. This way Democrats can get a military willing to kill Americans on orders from the CinC.

For those who don’t know: The US Military “had” to install an office for DEI within 3 months of Biden’s election to the Command Staff level. TheseDEO offices were manned with only people who agreed with the DEI philosophy. Not anyone trained in equality, diversity or inclusion. They manned it with non-commissioned maintenance, admin and other non-warfare personnel but that is not the purpose of the DEI offices at the Command Staff level. The true purpose is to ensure those in Command adhere to the political views of this administration or their careers and futures are in danger. The present DEI office is no different than the position of “Political Officers” used by the Soviet Union to assure adherence their communist views.

Disgraceful Afghanistan withdrawal. Americans left behind. Friends of America left behind. Lying. Cover-up.

Appeasement. Weakness. Wokeness.

Who would risk his life for Joe Biden’s army? Who would go to war based on an order by Joe Biden & Co.? The order would be issued from Rehoboth Beach, questions from the press not permitted. Milley would first contact the Chinese.

I can’t think of 1 thing he has done to make the U.S.A. and US citizens any better, stronger, safer, or more prosperous.
And most of Congress is letting it happen.

You can ruin an organization by injection of ideology and preferences and it will still have enough inertia to perform fairly well. Then a tipping point is reached where the number/influence of the ideological outweigh the ability of the few remaining productive members to make it work. Those who were previously willing to make sacrifices working 6o-80 hours a week, shouldering the load b/c they beloved in the mission become disillusioned. These folks get tired of watching their far less productive, less competent peers get promoted alongside them for minimum effort. The productive, competent members become unwilling to continue carrying a disproportionate share of the load.

As more and more of the highly productive members scale back their efforts the total organizational load becomes more evenly distributed which causes the unproductive or less competent to carry more. These less competent, less productive folks are either unwilling or unable to meet the standard, so they demand a new lower standard. That decreases the productivity of the organization and undermines its purpose. In turn this causes the departure of the highly productive and highly competent who take their talents elsewhere which causes another cycle of lowering standards… and on and on it goes.

GOPe is focusing all their time on figuring out how to lose the next election.
