Christmas Eve Message On Day 79

Christmas Eve Message On Day 79

The sum of our fears at a very visceral and emotional level, comforted by the people who reached out to ask how I was doing, as if I were there. They understood that there is here now.

It’s been an other-worldly 79 days since October 7. Feeling isolated and alone. The sum of our fears at a very visceral and emotional level.

Comforted by the people who reached out to ask how I was doing, as if I were there. They understood that there is here now. I appreciate that more than you know.

In the past month I’ve given numerous lectures, some to mostly Jewish audiences, but mostly to mostly Christian audiences. The bond and embrace I felt was uplifting. I’m reminded of the post I wrote on April 7, 2009, just six months after the blog launched, Passover Is No Time To Wish For The End Of Christian America:

Nothing has changed in thousands of years. They still rise up in every generation to destroy us, but this time the names are not Haman or Adolf, but Mahmoud and Osama. And on this earth, it will be Christian Americans almost alone who will stand with us.

I want to acknowledge what we can do better at Legal Insurrection. While we have covered some aspects of the persecution of Christians at home and abroad, we haven’t done enough. We pledge to do more.

Upholding a tradition, I’ll be on guard duty Christmas Day covering the blog. The staff has been given shore leave for the holiday. I feel like Kevin in Home Alone, the adults have left town.

I wish our staff and readership a joyous and meaningful Christmas.

Feliz Navidad y Prospero Nuevo Ano

Just spent Christmas Eve with our Jewish granddaughter. The most enjoyable Christmas Eve we’ve ever had as a family. Our daughter had a number of games for us to play in teams. The most fun was the dreidel competition. Our Jewish son-in-law provided hilarious play-by-play commentary. The most fun and love felt of a family gathering I can remember. Feeling so blessed.

Can’t remember if I reached out to you, Bill. I reached out to my daughter’s in-laws a number of times because protests were always happening outside their apartment. They live across the street from the Natural History Museum in NYC and maybe 20 meters from Central Park. I kept seeing videos of protests outside the museum and kept checking in on them. I’m sorry if I didn’t check in on you. I always picture you in Rhode Island, far away from all the action.

Just feeling so blessed our precious daughter met her perfect soul mate in a complete mensch of a Jewish boy–the son of a prominent NYC rabbi. We love him and his family so much. Both families feel so blessed for their marriage and our granddaughter.

Bill, how are you doing? Are you okay? I’m free to talk.

Our little family’s Christmas miracle was news about a possible lady friend, for a long time bachelor step son… I am still grinning, because her name;.. Celeste. Keeping my fingers crossed.

May God bless you and keep you throughout the year. Wishing you joy and love.

The people who understand have reached out to me also…so many still don’t understand.
Christmas with my husband’s family is postponed until the weekend due to illlness…headed to the left coast after that…That’s where I am afraid that I will find that the MOT’s have had their brains tainted by current culture and they won’t get it either……..(Chag) Christmas Same-ach to all!!…that’s how we roll here!

Merry Christmas, Professor and to the Staff at LI !

Many thanks to you and the great LI folks. Keep up the great work!

Merry Christmas to the Professor and his staff.

With hope that this year of sadness was a prelude to a great awakening with love, joy, and peace upon this earth.

Merry Christmas to the staff at Legal Insurrection and all the site’s visitors.
