Possible Biden-Backed Hostages For Terrorists Deal Rumored As IDF Encircles Another Hamas Stronghold

Possible Biden-Backed Hostages For Terrorists Deal Rumored As IDF Encircles Another Hamas Stronghold

AFP news agency: “The White House said the negotiations were in the ‘endgame’ stage.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) encircled another Hamas terror stronghold in northern Gaza amid media reports of a possible hostage deal backed by President Joe Biden.

The deal may entail the freeing of convicted Palestinian terrorists and the ceasing of Israeli military operations against terror group Hamas. “Senior Hamas officials said Tuesday that an agreement could be reached soon in which the militant group would release hostages and Israel would free Palestinian prisoners,” the Associated Press reported Tuesday. “Israel, the United States and Qatar, which mediates with Hamas, have been negotiating for weeks over a hostage release that would be paired with a temporary cease-fire in Gaza and the entry of more humanitarian aid. Similar predictions of a hostage agreement in recent weeks have proven premature.”

The Israeli government is expected to approve the hostage deal that might include the release of 50 hostages in return for halting of IDF’s Gaza ground operation. “Cabinet tonight set to okay deal for Hamas release of 50 Israeli hostages over 4 days,” The Times of Israel reported. “Israel to suspend war while releases go ahead.”

Meanwhile, the Israeli military encircled Hamas stronghold of Jabaliya in northern Gaza on the 25th day of its ground offensive. Hamas is using Jabaliya’s Indonesian Hospital as a command and control center for its attacks against Israeli ground troops operating in the area.  The hospital, run by Hamas’s “Gaza Health Ministry,” is repleted with underground terrorist infrastructure built by Hamas, recent IDF intelligence disclosed. Videos posted on Twitter show gunmen firing from inside the hospital.

“The northern city of Jabaliya is considered to be a Hamas stronghold and has been a key target in the IDF’s war against Hamas in Gaza,” The Times of Israel reported. “Jabaliya, four kilometers north of Gaza City, has an estimated population of 172,200 people and is home to the Indonesian Hospital. Earlier this month, the IDF said that it had compiled intelligence documents showing the presence of a tunnel network underneath the hospital, as well as aerial imagery showing rocket launchers a few dozen meters from the complex.”

The mainstream media is upset over the Israeli military going after another Hamas-controlled ‘hospital.’

“Gaza health ministry says Israeli forces are ‘laying siege’ to hospital and fear repeat of events at al-Shifa,” the left-wing British newspaper Guardian lamented Tuesday. Last week’s IDF raid on Gaza City’s al-Shifa yielded massive weapons cache and intelligence on Hamas’s terrorist activities inside the hospital. The hospital was being used to keep Israeli hostages captured during the October 7 massacre.

The Israeli TV channel i24NEWS confirmed the encirclement of the Hamas stronghold:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Tuesday stated that its 162nd Division completed the encirclement of Jabaliya in northern Gaza and was ready to deepen the fighting. According to the statement, the IDF’s Air Forces as well as artillery have conducted heavy strikes in the city in order to “prepare the ground for battle.”

The military said it targeted three Hamas tunnel entrances and killed a number of the terrorist group’s operatives. The 401st Brigade is said to have destroyed Hamas rocket launchers.

“The troops from the Nahal Brigade killed dozens of terrorists over the past few days with support of tanks and UAVs.” In addition, “combat squads of the 551st Brigade killed dozens of terrorists with air support, captured enemy weapons in various locations, including private houses and children’s bedrooms, and located and destroyed tunnel shafts.”

Besides carrying out ground operations in the north, the IDF was also hitting terrorist targets in southern Gaza, where top Hamas leaders, including the terror group’s Gaza chief, Yehya Sinwar, are reportedly hiding among civilians.

“Palestinian Arab sources are reporting widespread attacks in the northern Gaza Strip, ” the Israeli news website Arutz Sheva confirmed Tuesday. “Another attack was also reported in Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip.”

IDF finds anti-tank missile hidden under a baby’s crib

The Israeli troops are clearing the terrorist-infested northern Gaza in house-to-house fighting, discovering terror tunnels and weapons dumps inside residential homes, mosques, and schools. During a house search, Israeli soldiers recovered an anti-tank missile hidden under a baby’s crib, the IDF disclosed Tuesday.

On Tuesday morning, the IDF revealed the details of the nighttime operations:

As part of the IDF’s activities in the Gaza Strip over the last day, IDF aircraft struck approximately 250 Hamas terror targets. Among the targets struck were dozens of terrorists, rocket launchers, and terrorist infrastructure.

Overnight, IDF troops directed a fighter jet to strike a rocket launch post from which rockets were fired toward central Israel yesterday (Monday). The post was located near a residential area of the civilian population.

In addition, IDF ground troops located a significant weapons stockpile in the residence of a senior Nukhba terrorist in the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, IDF ground troops located an anti-tank missile hidden under a baby’s crib.

IDF eliminates senior Hamas commanders operating in Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon

An IDF drone strike eliminated Hamas’s Lebanon-based deputy chief and other senior terrorist operatives. “The deputy commander of the military wing of Hamas in Lebanon, Khalil Kharaz, was killed along with 3 other operatives of the terrorist organization, after an Israeli attack on a vehicle near Tyre,” the i24NEWS reported, citing Arab media.

The strike came amid a growing number of cross-border attacks into northern Israel from Lebanon.

The Israeli military carried out a series of strikes against terrorist targets in Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon, the news website Arutz Sheva reported Tuesday:

A short while ago, IDF aircraft identified and struck three armed terrorist cells in the area of the border with Lebanon.

In addition, IDF fighter jets struck a number of Hezbollah terror targets, including military infrastructure and structures used for directing terrorist activity.

A short while ago, terrorists fired mortar shells at an IDF post in northern Israel. No injuries were reported. IDF artillery is currently striking the source of the fire.

>>The deal may entail the freeing of convicted Palestinian terrorists and the ceasing of Israeli military operations against terror group Hamas.<<

Cease military operations. And that's exactly what Israel cannot afford to do under any circumstances. They must continue their military operations until Hamas and the other Arab terrorists have been eliminated. If they give Hamas and the other Arab terrorists time to regroup and rearm they will just have to deal with them again. They only way Israel will ever have peace is if they eliminate the threat.

I wonder how our “leaders” came to the conclusion that they can make deals for the state of Israel. I hope Netanyahu has already told Biden “not just no, but f**k no!”

They did it in the exact same way they felt that they could torpedo the tentative ceasefire that was negotiated between Ukraine and Russia very early on in that conflict. Two-things loom large in any Democrat administration: Political expediency and Donor Payback. Biden’s handlers blew-up the Ukraine ceasefire because that’s what the arms suppliers wanted and those same handlers seem to be doing everything to paint Israel into a corner because that’s what 51%+ of Democrat voters want. They promote war when there are donors to payback. But, sometimes they have to ‘end’ a war if it sates their Jew-hating base. So, here we are.

    You are absolutely correct.
If they cease hammering Hamas for any reason, the Satanic monsters will rise again and kill more Israelis.
To exchange “prisoners” for hostages sets a terrible precedent for future kidnappings.
The only viable long term solution is to pound Hamas into the dust.
Any civilian casualties are the fault of Hamas for starting the war.

I’d release the prisoners in exchange for the hostages. Then make sure in the next phase of the operation I took out all of the prisoners with air strikes. Saves on long term prison costs.

If there’s any place Dementia Joe can stick his stinky finger to screw things up, he’ll always find it.

Remember, Iran’s stooges just took a cargo ship and more hostages. There should not be any hostage deals unless all terrorists being released have implants which poison or blowup. There should be remote triggering and a drop dead clock. They should be tamperproof.

Consider this in light of the situation with Japan in 1945. It was not until Japan had been chased relentlessly all the way up the Pacific Ocean to the shores of Japan itself, and so utterly hammered they were left with ZERO hope of rising again to resist. Their will as a nation, culture, and people was utterly broken. Then THE PEOPLE willingly submitted to the remaking of their country. This time WITHOUT the empire complex under which they had attempted to operate for several decades.
Until Hamas are utterly broken they will only fall back, regroup, and come back for yet one more round. Utter and total defeat is the ONLY answer. Been obvious for far too many decades. We shall see whether Israel this time round have the spine to set aside the political niceties they have held to and simply DEFEAT THEM UTTERLY.

Trading anything for the hostages is a bad idea. The only acceptable trade would be the hostages released in return for Israel choosing to accept the unconditional surrender of Hamas.

    JohnSmith100 in reply to CommoChief. | November 22, 2023 at 5:53 pm

If they trade Hamas prisoners, they should be walking dead, with a short life expectancy, maybe irradiate them. Ideally deaths could be spread out, keep them guessing.

Fat_Freddys_Cat | November 21, 2023 at 11:33 am

If this comes off, I wonder how likely it would have happened if the Israelis had listened to The Squad and did a unilateral ceasefire right away?

Democrats working over time to save an allies of theirs in Gaza 🙄

The ONLY deal that should be made is one involving handing over ALL hostages along with everyone who planned and carried out the attacks in October.

It’s almost as if Democrats only response to any problem is an immediate surrender themselves 🙄

Biden is not on Israel’s side.

Rumors have it Qatar is the source of leaks claiming a cease fire is impending and they are doing it in an attempt to sap Israeli will.

I can’t believe Israel is even considering it or allowing their eye to be taken off the ball.

Any deal for less than all the hostages, live or dead, is ridiculous. Any alleged trade for terrorist prisoners is beyond farcical and completely contrary to the mission Israel has set for itself.

Realistically, the hostages may or may not be alive, Their status is totally in the hands of Hamas. As hard-hearted as it sounds, Israel needs to focus on total victory over Hamas.

I wonder who Joe will have taken hostage so he can trade for those terrorists. Also, are there any draft picks involved, or nah?

They never give up on the fantasy that they can negotiate with suicide terrorists.

Hmm

Once Bibi did make a trade for an Israel soldier for several terrorists and it was a very bad deal

I don’t think he will repeat the mistake

Brave Biden swaggers in after the IDF has them cornered. Only thing missing from the scene is a twangy guitar, a haunting melody whistled and swinging saloon doors.

when cock roaches are in your house, you don’t put a trail of crumbs leading outside and hope that they will not return, the solution for Hamas is the same as for cockroaches, total and complete annihilation!

Reminds me of a joke about a guy who calls animal control complaining that he has a skunk in his garage. They tell him they have no one to send out until the next day, but skunks love bacon, so he could try leaving a trail of bacon out his garage door. Guy calls back an hour later complaining that he has two skunks in his garage.

In WW-II there were literally millions of US citizens in the occupied Philippines [counting both native Filipinos who were citizens because it was a US territory and those from the actual States]. They were tortured and murdered by the Japanese during the occupation. We did not let their presence prevent us from doing everything we could to destroy the Japanese Empire, both in the Occupied Philippines and elsewhere. It was a cost that had to be paid [and paid back later by the Japanese]. It was the right thing for us to do.

This is as F-ed up as a cross threaded, left handed football bat. It is, of course, Israel’s choice, but they will have the pay the cost in the long run of a resurgent HAMAS.

If Israel is doing it they must see some tactical advantage to it because I can’t imagine them giving up the initiative and momentum otherwise.

Here comes the US ready to make the worst deals possible.

We should deliver them the freshly handed bodies of their war criminals.
