Multiple Students Hospitalized After Boozy Lingerie Party at Rice University
“The university is taking prompt action and canceling campus wide public parties through spring break in response to the events at last weekend’s ‘Night of Decadence’ party.”

Some students apparently overdid it on drinking and then things got really crazy.

Multiple hospitalized from Playboy-favorited lingerie party at Rice University in Texas
Rice University in Houston, Texas canceled parties on campus through spring break after an underwear and lingerie-themed party ended with seven students in the hospital.
The university’s student newspaper, the Rice Thresher, reported that the Night of Decadence party held at a residential college on campus was shut down early on Oct. 29 due to the presence of campus police and medics.
The Night of Decadence is an underwear and lingerie-themed party at Rice University, according to FOX 26. It was cut short this year after seven students were rushed to a nearby hospital because of intoxication.
Over two dozen people were treated on-site.
As a result, campus wide public parties are being canceled through spring break, which runs from March 9-17.
Director of News and Media Relations at Rice University, Jeff Falk, said restrictions will be placed on the event moving forward.
“The university is taking prompt action and canceling campus wide public parties through spring break in response to the events at last weekend’s ‘Night of Decadence’ party. In addition, ‘Night of Decadence’ will be placed on probation, with reduced capacity and enhanced safety protocols at future parties,” Falk said.

Rice is science engineering geek school. Like sheldon cooper from big bang theory. Somebody spiked the punch bowl?
The punch is supposed to be spiked! But just with ethyl alcohol.
Unlike glorifying mass-murdering terrorists, toga parties and panty raids are good, traditional college entertainment. Can goldfish-swallowing and
phone-boothcell-tower stuffing be far behind? At least there’s some traditional college activities remaining.
Unless, of course, it was the dudes wearing the lingerie.
What is wrong with these kids? Is it drugs laced into the booze? Are they weakened from Covid and the vax? They can’t get drunk without ending up in the hospital?
We used to get pretty intoxicated on various substances and nobody went to the hospital. One night I was retching over a toilet and I had to walk back across campus with one friend on either side to make sure I got home. (I learned not to mix types of booze from this educational experience.) The next morning I had a little headache, drank some water and was OK. Everyone’s so fragile now.
Its the snowflake generation, so fragile. If they barf from drinking somebody else will call 911 for ambulance. This will just force the next parties off campus, which will increase the chance for drunk driving incidents.
