Indiana Woman in Custody for Allegedly Driving Car Into ‘Jewish School’

The Indianapolis police arrested Ruba Almaghtheh, 34, for allegedly driving into what she thought was a Jewish school.

According to a police report, officers were called to the building around 11:30 p.m. Friday to investigate a possible hate crime.
Upon arrival, officers say they found Ruba Almaghtheh, 34, who had backed her car into the building while several adults and children were inside. Police labeled Almaghtheh a “terrorist” according to Fox 59.
Officers say Almaghtheh told them she was watching news coverage of the Israel-Hamas war on television, and was offended by the “Hebrew Israelite” symbol on the outside building – so she decided to attack the building.
But get this. The Israelite School of Universal and Practical Knowledge, which has been labeled an anti-semitic hate group, used the building:
However, the Anti-Defamation League defines the Israelite School of Universal and Practical Knowledge as an “extreme and antisemitic” sect of the Black Hebrew Israelites. The Southern Poverty Law Center has designated the Black Hebrew Israelites as a hate group.
The police report said that she referred to “her people back in Palestine” and admitted she hit the building on purpose.

A big problem with false flags is friendly fire.
Some of you are confusing the Black Hebrew Israelites of this country with the Black Jews of Israel, who were rescued from Colonel Mengistu’s attempts to exterminate them. Israel sent planes and commandos to Ethiopia to rescue them. These people from Ethiopia are now a vibrant addition to Israeli society. DNA testing showed that they do indeed have Sephardic Jewish roots.
Check her SAT scores…bet they were low.
Not to say the Black Israelite outfit targeted in this attack isn’t the hate group version, but they don’t seem to be a one size fits all antisemitic hate group.
Despite a significant divergence on beliefs, there is a community of Black Israelites living in Israel who have served in the IDF, represented Israel at home and in Europe in academic and sports events, including the Maccabiah games. Twice they have represented Israel in Eurovision.
Yes, the variations are significant. But my other concern is people/news groups using the Southern Poverty Law Center as a reliable conveyor of accuracy about who is or isn’t a hate group. Some of the groups they have labeled as such would not be considered that by any normal person.
Admission against interest. When even SPLC agrees this is a hate group, it’s a hate group.

I think you have that backwards. The Black Israelites tried to join the pro-Hamas protest, and were attacked for their troubles, so they fought back.

Yeah I thought about that just as I hit submit. Hopefully enough folks have attended a sporting event where programs are/were sold by someone hawking them with that cry…or at least watched the loony toons cartoon I got it from.

The Almaghtheh family name goes back to the days of the Northwest Territories, when Josiah Almaghtheh fought under Major General St. Clair at the battle of Little Raghead Creek. Wilfred S. Almaghtheh served as Indiana’s first deputy secretary of the treasury after Indiana was admitted to the Union. Her great-great grandfather, Edwin T. Almaghtheh was one of the initial funders of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

I would hesitate to rely on the opinion of the ADL and SPLC for objective assessments of any individual or group.
