Anti-Israel Protesters Plan to Interrupt Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Of course these people want to interrupt the biggest tree lighting ceremony in the country.

Mike blogged about the anti-Israel people interrupting tree lighting ceremonies this year.

Of course, these people want to cause chaos at the biggest one of all: Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.

Within Our Lifetime, another one of those “pro-Palestine” groups, announced Flood the Tree Lighting for Gaza.

The website suggests chants to use at protests. These people sound totes nice. No anti-Semitism here, right!? (That’s sarcasm, you guys)

  • From the river to the sea!
    Palestine will be free!
  • From Palestine to Mexico!
All these walls have got to go!
  • nypd kkk
    idf they’re all the same
  • move cops get out the way
    we know you’re Israeli trained
  • Not just annexation!
    Not just occupation!
    Fight for liberation!
    Bring the whole thing down!

If they’re announcing their plans, then surely the Rockefeller Center security guards know to keep them out. It’s private property and private security, not the politically-controlled NYPD.

It is not a small area to protect and often wall-to-wall people at the holidays. I doubt Rockefeller Center security has the resources to deal with a mob of agitators mixing in with the holiday crowd..

They can stand at the entrances and not allow in anyone bringing “flags, signs, & keffiyehs”.

      lc in reply to jb4. | November 28, 2023 at 7:26 am

Because it is so crowded, I fear people will end up getting trampled if such an event occurs. Truly dangerous.

Who is funding (aiding and abetting) these people fomenting such agitations?

        JohnSmith100 in reply to lc. | November 28, 2023 at 1:50 pm

        Probably Neville Roy Singham

As much shit as is happening is not in my opinion possible without a grand conspiracy to destabilize America, So look at Obama, Soros, Clintons, Bidens, China.

Wishful thinking. These ‘protests’ have the potential to be one of the largest Palestinian publicity events in the world: they will not let the opportunity pass.

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to Milhouse. | November 28, 2023 at 8:25 am

Yes, but, isn’t it still a “public accommodation”?

Karensky in reply to Milhouse. | November 28, 2023 at 8:47 am

Let us see if the Rockefeller Brother thinks tanks allow the protest. That is where this now sits. Their nonprofits are all on the left agenda.

OK. Then there is no excuse not to have fire hoses and water cannons at the ready.

Nothing livens up a sub-freezing temp riot like a few thousand gallons of water.

For crying out loud. No wonder these cities are run by Antifa and their political whores. They are abysmal cowards. Idiots.

Islamists are a cancer in the West. Treat it accordingly.

    JohnSmith100 in reply to LB1901. | November 28, 2023 at 2:02 pm

Those Hamas currently held should receive cancer treatment prior to exchange, high power microwaves would also be effective. Stop dancing to Hama’s tune.

Let’s see how Adams treat the Jew haters.

This would seem more like Muslims harassing Christians.

I remember when the government went after groups using social media to foment violent protests. (We know the hamas lovers want a violent response) Just don’t have the ceremony. Have the janitor throw the switch from inside the building. No crowds, no incentive for the protesters. Put a mega screen up and stream the videos of the atrocities committed by the terrorists on 10-7. That way they can be seen cheering on evil. FJB

The government only went after groups using social media to literally plan violence. I don’t think it’s ever gone after anyone for just calling on others to protest.

We know these people love violence, but it’s impossible to prove that they’re planning any. They’re calling for a peaceful protest, at which the only law that will be broken is that against trespassing, and even that will only be if and when they’re told to leave. Any violent plans they may have exist only in their heads. So there’s nothing the government can do about it even if it wanted to. If this were on public property it probably couldn’t even prevent them from entering. But it’s not, so it seems to me that the Center’s security ought to do that.

You couldn’t be more wrong… J6 is EXACTLY. about the government going after those who called for protest…. Called for protest and explicitly called for NO violence

You can get 22 years in prison for not being there, but supposed planning a protest…just ask Enrique Tarrio.

No, it did not. It only went after those who were there, or who explicitly plotted violence.

caseoftheblues in reply to Milhouse. | November 29, 2023 at 5:59 am

Your ignorance is breathtaking. I don’t even know where t begin. Have you had your head stuck up your nether region for 3 years. Anyone who thinks you are thoughtful or your opinions are generally informed is as big a lackwit as you. Do some research… have a lawyer friend help you understand the cases that have been brought .

mailman in reply to Milhouse. | November 28, 2023 at 9:44 am

These hamas events are a call to violence. But its the right kind of violence so the FBI et al wont get involved.

Milhouse in reply to mailman. | November 29, 2023 at 3:01 am

No, they are not a call to violence. There is nothing on that poster that calls for violence. And at most of these events there is no violence. At some there is, but it’s impossible to prove that the organizers intended that, and it’s certainly impossible to prove that in advance of the event.

caseoftheblues in reply to Milhouse. | November 29, 2023 at 6:24 am

Tell that to the J-6ers arrested for standing outside a building.
Let me guess … you will lawyer pretzel logic that as a justified arrest but those who burned down federal building and curb stomped officers NEVER getting arrested or charged or even looked for ., why that’s a ok in the lawyer world you live in

Beat anyone with a rag on their head to a bloody pulp. Mercilessly. Rinse. Repeat until the nonsense ceases.

Why isn’t attacking christian holidays considered hate crime??

Milhouse in reply to smooth. | November 29, 2023 at 3:02 am

Because there is no crime. Protesting is not a crime.

In any case, even if there were a crime, the motivation is clearly to draw attention to their (evil) cause, not hatred of Christians, so it still wouldn’t be a hate crime.

caseoftheblues in reply to Milhouse. | November 29, 2023 at 6:28 am

Utter clown…. Not in the US under the Biden DOJ. Seems lawyers SHOULD stand up to the injustice happening but they deny or defend it. Gee I wonder why lawyers are thought of the way they are

Fat_Freddys_Cat | November 28, 2023 at 8:40 am

Looking at this and other leftist protests (e.g. “climate change”) the Left’s protest strategy these days seems to be “let’s get as many people as possible to hate us”.

I get that they hope a violent response will gain them sympathy, but that will only work if they themselves are sympathetic figures. Hassling people trying to get to work or trying to enjoy a well-earned holiday doesn’t make them all that sympathetic to anybody but dumbass college kids.

For purposes of distraction and protection a crèche with killer army mules should be placed next to the Christmas tree.

And how have these peaceful, accepting people permitted Christians access to Bethlehem?

Milhouse in reply to Leo. | November 29, 2023 at 3:05 am

They usually do. Christian tourism is big business for Bethlehem. But they’ve driven away the Christian population.

Why are anti-Israel protesters getting involved in a Christian holiday tradition? Is this their way of saying that they are really generally anti-West? Which Ivy League faculty members made this decision?

    Milhouse in reply to Q. | November 29, 2023 at 3:04 am

It’s just a convenient occasion on which to make nuisances of themselves. It’s nothing specifically against the holiday, or the event.

    caseoftheblues in reply to Q. | November 29, 2023 at 6:56 am

Hamas has openly stated their goal of first killing all the Jews and then moving on to kill all the Christians… so there’s that. There is zero respect for any other religion but all the respect and deference in the world is demanded for Islam. So this type of “protest” serves on a couple of levels
