A young woman who attends Cornell University and other students testified before Congress this week about anti-Semitism on campus and was interrupted by anti-Israel protesters.

In the video below, you can see several of these people sitting just two rows behind the students.

The Daily Wire reports:

Pro-Palestinian Protesters Heckle Jewish Students During Campus Anti-Semitism Hearing

Pro-Palestinian protesters heckled Jewish students during a Wednesday morning hearing before the House Judiciary Committee — where those students had been invited to testify regarding free speech and pro-Hamas, anti-Semitic protests that had taken place on their college campuses.

Daily Caller News Foundation reporter Arjun Singh shared video from the hearing, captioning the clips, “Pro-Gaza protesters stand up, one-by-one, to heckle Jewish students testifying at a [House Judiciary Committee] hearing on free speech on college campuses, regarding anti-semitism and pro-Hamas views.”

The Daily Signal’s Mary Margaret Olohan shared more video of the disruption, saying, “Pro-Palestine demonstrators repeatedly interrupt the House Judiciary Committee hearing on free speech on college campuses + the rise in antisemitism and antisemitic violence.”

Once the hearing was underway — in addition to the rise in anti-Semitic rhetoric, demonstrations, and even attacks — students were asked to address the more general topic of free speech and whether that was something that even existed on college campuses, particularly when said speech came from conservative students and campus guests.

Here’s part of the testimony:

I was alone in a world gone mad. These are the words my grandfather wrote on the day in October, 1942 after his father had been shot dead and the Jews in his small Polish town, including his entire family, were deported to a death camp. He was a teenager alone in a labor camp with a bleak future filled with unimaginable suffering. I have thought about my grandfather’s words often in the 32 days since October 7th. If I have watched what I can only describe as a world gone mad, I have seen and heard things on or on and around Cornell’s campus that just over a month ago I could not have imagined. Cornell Professor Russell Rickford publicly justified and celebrated barbaric acts of terror as exhilarating and energizing, describing the torture, rape, and murder of innocent women and children as resistance. I see classmates perpetuating anti age old anti-Semitic tropes on social media.

I walk across the campus defaced with anti-Israel signage and graffiti, seeing phrases such as ‘F’ Israel and Zionism equals genocide, anti-Zionism, and anti-Semitism are inextricably linked. This is evidenced by the Jew hatred that consistently and openly accompanies attacks on Zionism on campus. I’m now confronted daily with shouts to free Palestine from the river to the sea. This catchy chant is not about peace or sovereignty for the Palestinian people. It is a call for a Palestinian state extending from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, a territory that encompasses the entire state of Israel. It is a Jew hating, genocidal mandate, seeking to deny the Jewish right to self-determination in Israel. It is a call to exterminate all Jews in accordance with Hamas’s open and unequivocal goal. This chant is not about Palestinian life. It is about Jewish death.

How do these Code Pink types always seem to find their way into congressional hearings?

Sal Alinskly, Code Pink. Nothing changes for these IQ types. It doesn’t matter they have no clue they only know how to drink the Kool-Aid and disrupt.

WHO is now spreading fake Hamas talking points, claiming that 4104 kids have been killed in the bombing campaign in Gaza. Besides being an obviously fake number, it looks odd enough to have a hidden cultural meaning.

…. So, what does 4104 mean spiritually? This number symbolizes courage and adaptability. The energy frequencies from the universe are communicating using angel number 4104. They are trying to inform you that facing spiritual battles demands that you be courageous.

The unwillingness of the authorities to act is a subtle endorsement of verbal and physical attacks on Jews.

The unwillingness of Jim Jordan not to demand that the Capitol Police arrest and charge these miscreants with interfering with a government action is stunning

In another news item I mentioned that today is the 100th anniversary of the Beer Hall Putsch. 100 years later and the Leftists andJew Haters are still at it. It should be remembered that there was a strong Communist movement in Germany to take it over using street thugs and that many war veterans opposed them. Today we have unopposed Leftists supported by Leftist administrations playing the same gain. Weimar we go again.

Yep, with a Weimar economic meltdown right around the corner. Better get my wheelbarrow out of the shed, I’ll need it to haul dollars to the store to buy my ersatz bread.

Why didn’t they remove the pro- Palestinians after the first outburst?
So congress can have their little show.

This. The first time one stood up and interrupted, I would have halted the proceedings and had the sergeant at arms remove that person. If it happened again, I would have the sergeant at arms remove every single person with some sort of anti-Israel hat or tape or whatever. And had him hold them until after the hearing.

Then I would have had my personal talking to with them. And then had the DC Police arrest them for insurrection (since they were trying to stop a congressional proceeding, right? dem’s da rules now?). I’m guessing they would incriminate themselves during my talk with them.

it’s always “the next time”, how about the first time

artichoke in reply to GWB. | November 9, 2023 at 6:32 pm

I’d skip the personal talking-to. If they don’t know what most people understood from about birth, teaching them is either impossible or way below my pay grade. We have a legal process for that, in which I would engage them directly.

The personal time is to give them the opportunity to do something incredibly foolish before they get carted off. (It’s a trap.)

Let a couple stand up for the clips of how unhinged they are then remove all spectators arresting those that disrupted a government function which we all know is Insurrection.

“…about anti-Semitism on campus and was interrupted by anti-Israel protesters.”

So, they were helping the Jews make their case.

Who let the “demonstrators” into the hearing?

Where the headbands, blood-red hands, and keffiyehs a clue at all to the Capitol Police?

Who is funding all these “demonstrators”, paying for the transportation, food, lodging, and bail?

Until they disrupt the proceedings, it’s just speech.
The moment one of them disrupts – and you know they all came in together – you can throw the whole batch out.

Ironclaw in reply to GWB. | November 9, 2023 at 3:09 pm

Not out, we have precedent. Throw them in the gulag and hold them for at least a year before they see a judge.

TrickyRicky in reply to GWB. | November 9, 2023 at 4:55 pm

Who is funding these anti-civilization, anti-liberal, anti-west lunatics?
I believe the initials are G.S.
And I don’t mean Giant Slalom.

These protestors have long passed the point of showing any real importance. They are showing, the ugliness of the Democrat Party, and the person who probably funded them, George Soros. Hamas BRUTALLY murders over 1400 human beings and these idiotic protestors completely disregard that massacre to shout about Gaza being “Free”, or some other ridiculous statement. Meanwhile, they will not allow any Jewish students to explain THEIR side in a very rational manner. They SHOULD be thrown out of that room as soon as they open their obnoxious mouths to spout their poison!

artichoke in reply to GWB. | November 9, 2023 at 6:24 pm

      Disrupting an official proceeding.

The Real Truth in reply to GWB. | November 10, 2023 at 8:45 am

Yes, in my opinion, those obnoxious protestors should have been thrown out of the room !

“Where the headbands, blood-red hands, and keffiyehs a clue at all to the Capitol Police?”
The Capitol Police are superbly trained to hold doors open and wave people in.

They demand free speech to deny it for others.

If you are dressed so it’s clear what will happen, you should be denied entrance. Alternatively, warn them once. After the first violator pipes up, all the rest are removed.

The Code Pinkos get into the hearing room because Democrat staffers let them in with approval of their bosses.

At least they are letting us know who they are…

How many of those people were arrested for the insurrectional crime of interfering with Congress?

I’m not Jewish and am very sympathetic and supportive of these students and Jewish students in the US on American campuses to live their lives in peace and openly on campus. But I am curious how many liberal American Jews feel the same way?

to info
In the photograph of the Congressional hearing about antisemitism at Cornell, one of the “protesters” is holding up his hands painted red.
This is not, as it may be imagined, to protest alleged Israeli bloodshed.
It is a mirror of the photograph of the lynch of two Israeli soldiers in 2000. In other words, the protester is signalling his celebration of the murder of Israelis in a language that most people won’t get, but in a way that most Israelis will get.

There should be a general reckoning of the return on “investment” of college’s DEI administrative structure. Wasn’t DEI supposed to make us more tolerant and equipped to see diverse view points? Has DEI had any observable effect besides enriching the DEI industry and burdening students and parents?

What a wimp
Jordon is

Glad he didn’t get the speakership

These students are so traumatized and he doesn’t have the balls or courage to stand for them

The Real Truth | November 10, 2023 at 9:11 am

These pro-Palestinian groups have NOW become a CANCER, that is spreading to Colleges all over this country. We MUST CUT the cancer out now before it takes over ALL the colleges in the US. It is the UGLY disease
of antisemitism and the Muslims, and leftists are all very happy to run with it.
Many Professors in our Colleges have FUELED this problem, and THAT must be stopped as well.
