Cornell University professor calls Hamas terror attack ‘exhilarating’ and ‘exciting’
A Cornell University professor was caught on camera telling students Hamas’ terror attack on Israel — which has left more than 1,400 dead — was “exhilarating” and “energizing.”
The remarks were made at a pro-Palestine protest by Russell Rickford, an associate professor of history at the top-tier Ithaca, New York, school and posted online Sunday by a student who called them “shameful.”
The footage of Rickford’s impassioned speech was also shared with The Post by two other tipsters. They declined to say when and where exactly the rally took place, but both said they were shocked by the brazen remarks.
The prof said the coordinated Oct. 7 attack, in which militants broke through concrete walls and paraglided into Israel to indiscriminately murdered civilians “shifted the balance of politics and punctured the illusion of invincibility” of Israel, which has imposed a blockade on the Gaza Strip since terrorist group Hamas seized power there in 2007.
“That’s what they’ve done. You don’t have to be a Hamas supporter to recognize it,” he said.

I am having trouble getting a handle on this.
What kind of person would call raping women, buring people alive and cutting off babies’ heads “exhilarating” and “energizing”?
a. a Hamas terrorist who is bragging about his recent exploits
b. a mentally warped, totally bat-shit crazy mental patient
c. a hate-filled racist
d. a typical professor at a university in America today
Since he found it so “exhilarating”, I wonder if he would trade places with one of the American hostages, for even more thrills?
Prof. Russell Rickford makes himself very difficult to be liked or respected.
In 202o, he was allowed to speak at a Black Lives Matter rally on the Cornell Arts Quad. Instead of addressing that Black Lives Matter, he unilaterally tried to shift the focus of the rally to the Palestine cause.
His remarks on Sunday came only after the U.S. President, Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense declared and reaffirmed the nation’s support of Israel and denounced the Oct. 7 attack as terrorism. It also followed two official statements from Cornell’s President denouncing Hamas and its Oct. 7 attack.
To say his scholarship is second rate is to be generous. His father is a Stanford linguistics professor. They jointly wrote a book on “Black English.” He studied under Columbia Univ. Black Studies Professor Manning Marabell, He edited Marabell’s papers to produce a book “Beyond Boundaries: The Manning Marable Reader.” He also wrote an autobiography of Malcolm X’s wife Betty. Monsters walk among us. And they have groupies. Hamas’ groupies empathize with.a savagery they could never express themselves, but which thrills them to the core. They see power in Hamas’ blood lust and the fear it inspires. Civilization is only a veneer for Hamas’ groupies, be they academics, students, or just pathetic hangers on.
