U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is in Israel consulting with Bibi Netanyahu and IDF leadership.
Austin offered a statement on what he has seen as to the Hamas and other terrorist group conduct during their attack on Israel:
“I know a lot about ISIS, and this is worse than what I saw with ISIS.”
It’s becoming more and more clear that the beastly butchery was not only by organized terrorist groups. Hamas is trying to blame Gaza civilians who crossed the border. That’s just a way to try to excuse themselves from the crimes against humanity committed, but two things may be true: Both organized groups like Hamas AND Gaza civilians participated.
The IDF also is reporting that large numbers of Gaza “civilians” crossed the border.
This was a group effort.
And it almost certainly was far, far worse than has been revealed publicly. We know that Palestinian terrorists castrated an Israeli Olympian at the 1972 Olympics, and that rape and mutiliation was used in the 1929 attack on the Jewish community in Hebron (20 years before there even was an Israel.)
We can only imagine the barbarism that was inflicted during the attack and on the hostages taken back to Israel.
Perhaps the greatest mercy Israel is showing to Gaza is not releasing to the public the full details of what was done by the invaders to their victims. Ostensibly for the sensitivities of the families, but also I think because what populace would be able to restrain themselves?
More eyewitness accounts are leaking out, including a first responder who found a pregnant woman with her stomach area cut open and the unborn child pulled out of her body. (go to 1:30 of the video)
There has been a large campaign of denialism, in which photographic proof is demanded of Hamas’ crimes. Israel has very slowly started to release photos to the public — much more already has been shown privatedly to foreign journalists and officials.
It will not satisfy the deniers.
