Gaza: IDF Soldiers Raise Israeli Flag in North Gaza as Tanks and Troops On The Move

“IAF aircraft, guided by IDF troops, struck Hamas military structures, some of which contained Hamas terrorists. In addition, anti-tank missile launching posts, observation posts and military infrastructure were struck.”

After Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday evening announced the widening of the ground operations in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces hit hundreds of terrorist targets in Hamas-controlled territory.

“In the past day, 450 Hamas targets including mortar launching terror squads and subterranean objectives were struck, he said while two members of the force were injured, one seriously,” the Israeli news website Ynet reported Sunday morning.

Israeli ground forces were destroying Hamas’ military assets and fortified positions. “The IDF continues ground operations in the northern Gaza Strip,” the IDF said in a press release on Sunday afternoon. “IAF aircraft, guided by IDF troops, struck Hamas military structures, some of which contained Hamas terrorists. In addition, anti-tank missile launching posts, observation posts and military infrastructure were struck.”

The IDF released images on Sunday showing infantry and tanks on Gaza beach.

IDF raises Israeli flag in northern Gaza

As IDF entered northern Gaza, soldiers raised Israeli flag in the terrorist-run territory for the first time since Israel’s 2005 withdrawal, handing over full control to the Palestinians in the hope of peace. “IDF soldiers who entered the Gaza Strip on Saturday raised the Israeli flag on one of the homes in the area, according to video shared online,” the Jerusalem Post reported Sunday. “This was reportedly the first time the Israeli flag has been raised in Gaza since the Disengagement in 2005.”

Covering the overnight IDF operation, the Israeli news website Arutz Sheva reported:

IAF aircraft directed by the IDF attacked military buildings used by the terrorist organization Hamas in Gaza. In addition, anti-tank posts, observation posts, and military infrastructure were attacked.

Security forces eliminated terrorists who shot at them as well as terrorists identified on the coastline near the Zikim area in the Gaza Strip.

Terrorists in the Gaza Strip continued to fire barrages of rockets at Israel on Sunday. Multiple barrages have been fired at southern Israel, and a large barrage was fired at the Tel Aviv area at noon.

A fire was reportedly caused in a building in Ramat Gan, and parts of a rocket were found in the Rishon Lezion area. One man was injured in Herzliya while running to a protected area during the attack.

Over the previous 24 hours, IDF fighter jets struck over 450 military targets belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, including operational command centers, observation posts, and anti-tank missile launch posts.

Hamas terrorists use tunnel for sneak attack

Having spent hundreds of millions of dollars in creating underground networks, Hamas was using terror tunnels to wage attacks on Israeli troops. “There are reports of clashes between IDF troops and Palestinian gunmen in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, close to Erez,” The Times of Israel reported Sunday. “Army Radio reports that a number of Palestinian gunmen came out of a tunnel in the Gaza Strip, several hundred meters from the Israeli border, and began to clash with Israeli troops.”

Hamas continues rocket fire on Israel

Meanwhile, Hamas continued to fire rockets at Israeli towns and cities. “Hamas-fired rockets struck several cities and towns over the weekend, wounding many Israelis and destroying homes and buildings,” the Jerusalem Post reported Saturday. “Several people suffered minor to moderate wounds in the center of the country. Others suffered from shock.”

On Sunday, an Israeli school was hit by Hamas rocket shrapnel. “Shrapnel fell on a school in Israel, while students were sheltering from a Hamas rocket attack earlier. Israel’s center came under a rocket bombardment mid-day, targeting the Central Plains, Metropolitan areas around Tel Aviv and the Sharon Plains. No damage or injuries were reported,” the Ynet reported.

Hezbollah rocket fire in north, IDF hits back

The IDF destroyed a terrorist cell in southern Lebanon trying to launch a guided missile into Israel, the Israeli media reported Sunday afternoon. The foiled launch was latest in the series of attacks carried out by the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group.

“A short while ago, a terrorist cell attempted to launch anti-tank missiles from Lebanon toward Israeli territory in the Avivim area. IDF soldiers struck the terrorist cell,” the IDF said in a statement issued on Sunday afternoon.

On Sunday evening, Hezbollah renewed rocket barrage, hitting the Israeli town of Kiryat Shmona. “A rocket has fallen in Kiryat Shmona, local authorities say, shortly after sirens went off in the northern town,” The Times of Israel reported. “Authorities are en route to the impact site to determine if anyone was hurt and the degree of damage to infrastructure.”

The Israeli military reposed to Hezbollah rocket fire. “Following the initial report regarding sirens that sounded in northern Israel, ten launches were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory. In response, the IDF is striking in Lebanon,” IDF said in a statement.

The Palis have rejected every single offer of a two-state solution, insisting always that Israel must be destroyed and all the Jews killed or deported.

They are acceptable to none of their co-religionist countries; no one wants them. Not even temporarily.

They are a suppurating wound in the side of the entire middle east and it appears there is no solution other than cauterization. Their culture is poison.

Wailing about the poor children of Gaza is fine until you realize that you could give those children a gun and a helpless Israeli and the result would be inevitable. Because their fathers literally hate Israel more than they love their children.

Here’s the thing, imho:

Going forward, if you reside in the U.S., you’ll constantly have to live with the threat of getting bombed or stabbed or getting overlooked for promotion at work.

You’ll always be a second class citizen. That’s the reality, and Reality does not care where you spend most of your psychological time on any given day:

Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance

Obviously, mentally healthy people accept reality and deal widdit.

Mentally healthy people accept reality and try to come up with a realistic action plan. In order to move forward.

If you choose to stay in America, you’re going to be under the protection of the U.S. justice system. The state police. The county sheriff and local city police. And, most crucially, the locally elected District Attorney.

If that’s how you want to live, ok fine.

If that’s how you want your children to live, going forward, then you are legitimately moonbat irrational. Or you hate your kids. Or you’re beyond selfish. Or you’re just really really stupid.

Not certain why you received the downvotes. You just described life in many areas of the USA’s major cities. Out here in ruralville, I don’t worry so much. Even in the nearest cities when I’m there to conduct business, shop, or dine out, I keep my head on a swivel looking to avoid threats before they get close.

Where I went shopping yesterday as I entered someone entered with his two women (wives? Wife and child? Who really knows) in full islamic coverup mode. I stayed several aisles away from them as I shopped. Precautionary principle.

My 4 male children, all with some military experience, always take a seat facing the entrance when they dine out. And prefer tables against a wall but don’t insist on it. Well, the combat vet among them does.

Immigrants in my parents and grandparent’s days were eager to leave behind their past and become Americans- as a few of my great-grandparents did.

Immigrants today want to have American wealth and comfort- with the culture they bring with them, which ultimately is destructive of America’s ideals.

Kill them all. Replicate Sherman’s march to the sea or the U.S.’s final campaign against Imperial Japan; whatever analogy is appropriate.

    Not so simple

    Why?

Because the Confederate States of America had no money to continue to prosecute its war for independence.

Imperial Japan had experienced firebombing of Tokyo and then was shocked by one A-bomb, then another.

Also, a third of the countries on earth did not support Imperial Japan.

Today, America has an open border whilst ostensibly fighting a war overseas.

And half the people running our government — including FBI, CIA, et Al. — are evidently on the payrolls of foreign adversaries.

    So it’s a problem

I’m not attempting to make a direct tactical comparison to those conflicts. Obviously, each war is different in scope and with regard to specific scenarios and strategy.

I’m stating that this war against Hamas must be waged as total war. Previous conflicts are instructive.

When you’re in America, you’re basically a burden to the system.

When you’re in Israel, at least you get the feeling that the system doesn’t want you to get robbed, raped, kidnapped, murdered.

Like it or not, Reality … happens. To all of us.

The Nazis eventually ran out of money

The supporters of Hamas are incredibly wealthy and essentially cannot run out of money … that buys influence all around the world.

    Gosport in reply to Garner22. | October 29, 2023 at 2:39 pm

The only people Hamas needs to influence at the moment are the pissed off ones rolling into Gaza with tanks.

Nobody else’s opinion counts and foreign supporters of Hamas attempting to demonize Israel in world opinion are peeing up a rope. Israel isn’t listening, nor should they,

The “world” already made their views known when the UN refused to even adopt a simple resolution condemning the 7 Oct Hamas terrorist attacks. Instead they called for a “cease fire”.

Those tanks won’t stop this time until the Israelis consider the mission accomplished. World opinion be damned.

They are going to destroy all the buildings around the Al Shifa Hospital and block it off completely from the rest of Gaza. Then they will to do their best to evacuate all patients and staff from the hospital, search for hostages underneath in the Hamas Hdqtrs and then destroy both hospital and tunnels.

They would probably do a walk through with news media to prove that it’s empty before destroying it.

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to Peabody. | October 29, 2023 at 6:01 pm

The news media will either twist it, or not report it. Were I in charge in Israel, my orders would be media be damned.

If you were in charge, there would be a lot less refugees available in Gaza to migrate to America and tear off posters of missing children from the wall.

      Grrrrr.

I can’t give my exact feelings here or I would be rightfully banned. Instead I will say that Israel has shown “Patience of Job” level of restraint with terrorists attacking innocents. It is time for that restraint to end.

Did we offer aid to the residents of Dresden or Berlin after we bombed them? Did we offer aid to Tokyo or Hiroshima after we bombed them? Almost ALL Palestinians cheered the raid on Israel and the murder of innocents as well as the 9/11 horror. Why are we acting like it is just Hamas that is evil? Israel has warned the residents to evacuate and if they don’t then it is on them if they perish.
