Kidnapped German citizen’s mostly naked body, with limbs twisted in the wrong direction, was driven in the back of a pick up truck through Gaza streets, as large crowds of “civilians” spit on her and beat her limp body. Now skull bone has been recovered which DNA testing confirmed is Shani.
It is one of the most indellible images and videos of the Hamas October 7 attack on Israel.
Shani Louk (some spell it Luk) was attending the rave festival.
Hamas paragliders landed, and were followed up by pick up trucks of terrorists. 270 people were slaughtered at the festival, and many more including Shani kidnapped and taken to Gaza.

This video shows quite clearly how they beat her with fists, wood boards, and spit on her, as the “civilians” chanted Allahu Akbar.

First reports were that she was Israeli, but it turned out she was a German citizen.
Hamas cruelly teased her family, put out claims that she was still alive. But she wasn’t.
Shani’s death was confirmed when a bone from her skull, positively identified through DNA as her, was found by the IDF (presumably during the latest incursion, but those circumstances are not clear). That means that her skull was smashed.
We are devastated to share that the death of 23 year old German-Israeli Shani Luk was confirmed.
Shani who was kidnapped from a music festival and tortured and paraded around Gaza by Hamas terrorists, experienced unfathomable horrors.

Ruti, Shani Luk’s cousin, said today: "Yesterday, we received an official message from the IDF and ZAKA informing us that a bone was found from the base of the skull, which is identical to Shani's DNA. The doctors determined that a person cannot live without this bone”.

Israel’s President confirms Shani was beheaded:
“I am truly sorry to report that we have now received news that Shani Nicole Louk has been confirmed murdered and dead. Her skull was found,” Herzog told the German newspaper Bild.
“This means that these barbaric, sadistic animals simply chopped off her head as they attacked, tortured and killed Israelis. It is a great tragedy and I extend my deepest condolences to her family,” the president said, adding that “about 40 bodies have not yet been identified.”
“What we saw on the Gaza-Israel border goes far beyond a pogrom. We saw a slaughterhouse. We saw the blood flowing in the streets. We have seen the most horrific tragedies imaginable,” Herzog concluded.
The Skull Fragment following its Discovery by Israeli Forces was turned over to ZAKA Rescue Services who conducted DNA Testing which matched the Fragment to the Base of Shani’s Skull which was determined to be caused by a Fatal Gunshot Wound to the Head; Shani’s Family in Germany…

Why did these young people decide it was a good idea to stage a music, party, what ever right near the border fence? Who thought Gazans would enjoy seeing or hearing this? An Islamist looking at this would only see it as decadent and regard these girls as ‘easy meat’ as they did when many Muslims arrived in Germany several years ago.

also – this was not a spur-of-the-moment “I hate this festival” attack. This was planned in advance and carried out; maybe with the festival in mind as an easy target. Not because of the music and scantily clad participants but because of the lack of armaments there and few to none of people able to fight back.

As I said: I won’t criticize the people who were locals. But I don’t live in the South Side of Chicago, or San Francisco, or Iran, or dangerous border regions of Israel, so going out of my way to go to any of these places just to “have some fun” is not something I consider wise. This young woman was kidnapped, raped, her body destroyed and then beheaded. I hope it is possible to reconstruct the crime, locate the rapists and murderers and kill them.
It would be great if DNA can be recovered, though that seems unlikely. That means painting with a much larger brush.
