President Joe Biden told Israel to release ‘humanitarian assistance’ to terrorist-controlled Gaza as he arrived on a ‘solidarity’ visit in the wake of last week’s Hamas-orchestrated massacre of Israelis.
Upon his arrival in Israel on Wednesday, President Biden announced $100 million in humanitarian aid to Palestinians. The amount is in addition to an estimated $300 million in annual U.S. assistance. “I am announcing $100 million of new US funding for humanitarian assistance in both Gaza and the West Bank,” President Biden said in Tel Aviv.
“Today, I asked the Israeli Cabinet, who I met with for some time this morning, to agree to the delivery of life-saving humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza, based on the understanding that there will be inspections and that the aid should go to civilians, not to Hama,” the president announced.
While Biden placed conditions on Israel on how to prosecute a war imposed on them by Hamas, he apparently didn’t place constraints on Palestinians over the misuse of the incoming humanitarian aid. “Let me be clear: if Hamas diverts or steals the assistance, it will have demonstrated once again it has no regard for the welfare of the Palestinian people and it will end,” he claimed.
Despite scenes of Gazans cheering the returning terrorists as heroes and abusing the Israeli hostages, and pro-Hamas demonstrations in the West Banks, Biden declared that the terrorists who carried out the October 7 massacre “did not represent” the Palestinians. “The vast majority of Palestinians are not Hamas. Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people,” he assured.
As the death toll from last week’s terrorist mass-murder crossed 1400, Biden told the Israelis “not to get consumed by rage.”
“After 9/11, we were enraged in the United States. While we saw justice and got justice, we also made mistakes,” he said.
Biden’s call for more assistance to Gaza comes amid reports that Hamas terrorists are plundering UN humanitarian supplies to run its terrorist war against Israel.

UNRWA originally said that people claiming to be Hamas health ministry officials had showed up with a truck and taken tens of thousands of liters of gasoline, and that UN people were forced to evacuate. Shortly afterwards, UNRWA deleted the post they made and denied that any looting took place. But UN officials as well as Israelis have confirmed the theft of critical supplies by Hamas did, in fact, happen. Israel has long maintained that Hamas steals humanitarian aid to use for their war against Israel, and said there’s no clear oversight of those billions of dollars that UNRWA funnels into Palestinian areas, saying that it typically ends up arming terrorists.
Shortly after taking office in early 2021, Biden reversed the Trump administration’s decision to cut all Palestinian funding. His administration announced aid worth $235 million in 2021 and raised it to $316 million in 2022.
The PLO-run Palestinian Authority diverts these funds to pay lavish salaries and allowances to convicted terrorists and their relatives. According to the Israel-based watchdog Palestinian Media Watch, the “Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund” gave out an estimated $150 million to terrorists and their families in 2020.
