President Joe Biden confirmed he saw pictures of decapitated children.
Many people thought the news out of Kibbutz Kfar Aza was fake news. I mean, who could kill 40 babies and decapitate most of them.
Hamas terrorists did just that:

It’s odd too because virtually all Israelis over a certain age are extremely well trained after doing their required stint in the military…. It’s not like they aren’t trained and comfortable with guns

They write laws saying that a 19-year-old soldier who carries a fully-automatic “assault rifle” overseas daily, cannot purchase a 22 rifle when he comes home to Mississippi. Being armed for the government = good; being armed independently = bad. Stinkin’ thinkin’, even when you have a clause in your founding document prohibiting it (which no other country does).
There is something in the Jew psyche that makes them victims. No one we it’s working brain cells living next to terrirists would willingly NOT be armed to the teeth for when judgement day comes. And it will come when you live next to people committed to your destruction.

Forget about requiring it, I’d be happy if Israel would simply allow it. Let it be the residents’ decision. But Israel does not even recognize the concept of a RKBA. The most it will allow anyone to have, at the police’s discretion, is a handgun and 50 (now increased to 100) rounds a year.
And then only certain people, and then only if they live in certain areas. None of those restrictions have been relaxed, nor has the requirement to apply for a license. All the Defense Minister has said is that they’ll expedite applications in part by doing a phone interview instead of requiring a face-to-face interview, and allow 100 rounds of ammunition instead of 50.
And at the end of the day, the Def. Min.’s statement gave numbers, and IIRC, in total they’re relaxing the requirements to allow licenses for some 5,000-7,000 more people … in a country of about 9.3 million.
So the extra deterrent factor is a total of about 0.06% of the population? One more person in ~2,000 can carry a pistol?

Min.’s statement said they’re relaxing eligibility requirements so that anyone who retired from IDF as a lieutenant or higher is now eligible, but as I understand it the previous “stricter” requirement was sergeant or higher. Either way, anyone who just did the compulsory two years’ service is still ineligible to apply.)

Either what Joe Biden says is untrustworthy, or what the “White House spokesperson” says is. Biden’s statement (that he saw the photos) and the reversal statement by the WH spox (that he didn’t see the photos) are mutually exclusive; one of them isn’t telling the truth.
So which one is being dishonest?
Personally, despite Biden’s lengthy history of less-than-truthful statements and bona fide gaffes, my gut is telling me that he’s telling the truth this time, and the WH spox is full of it.
Maybe it’s that this kind of evidence of genuine crimes against humanity both present a national security issue and cement our partnership with Israel, so it’s the kind of thing the State Dept. would bring directly to the President. Or maybe it’s something else. I don’t know exactly.
What I do know is that this time, my BS-o-meter is pegging on the anonymous “White House spokesperson’s” quote.

To me, the biggest problem in this story is the “White House spokesperson” who comes out and says, no, Biden didn’t actually see the photos he says he saw. That’s not even a “walk-it-back” statement; it’s a flat-out denial, contradiction, and reversal of the President’s words.
Like, if the “WH spox” is contradicting and reversing the President on something this simple and verifiable, what else have they been reversing him on?
Who is this person? (Seriously, what’s his/her name?)
And would they be so eager to reverse the President’s statement if he said something more in-line with the Democrat agenda — such as he’d seen the photos and the beheadings were clearly NOT done by Hamas? Or would they let that one stand?
