Staffers at Ibram Kendi’s Crumbling ‘Anti-Racist’ Think Tank Accuse Him of Being Exploitative

It was recently reported that Ibram Kendi’s ‘anti-racist’ think tank at Boston University is cutting up to a third of its staff. This is setting off a firestorm of criticisms from employees at the organization who are accusing Kendi of exploiting them.
The revolution always ends up eating its own.

Some staff members from the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University were critical of both founder Ibram X. Kendi and the decision to lay off several employees after the news broke earlier this month.
On Thursday, Boston University confirmed to Fox News Digital that at least 15 staffers have been laid off at the center as part of an “evolving” process…
By Friday, some members of both the Boston University and the Center for Antiracist Research’s staff began voicing their displeasure at the news, suggesting deeper issues beyond a new “fellowship model.”
“There are a number of ways it got to this point, it started very early on when the university decided to create a center that rested in the hands of one human being, an individual given millions of dollars and so much authority,” Spencer Piston, faculty lead of the center’s policy office, told the Boston Globe…
Former assistant director of narrative at the center, Saida Grundy, also described a lack of structure, leading to her working extra hours.
“It became very clear after I started that this was exploitative and other faculty experienced the same and worse,” Grundy told the Boston Globe.

The center opened at Boston University in the summer of 2020, soon after the death of George Floyd and the subsequent riots that engulfed much of the nation. In response, the university received a $10 million donation from former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, as well as $1.5 million donations from both the biotech company Vertex as well as the Rockefeller Foundation, according to the Globe.
Saida Grundy, a sociology professor who previously worked at the center before quitting in 2021, said it lacked structure and that she was forced to work long hours. “It became very clear after I started that this was exploitative and other faculty experienced the same and worse,” she said.
Kendi is even being accused of ’employment violence’ whatever that is.

The lesson of Western Civ is that structure matters. Complaining doesn’t work as a long term career owing to perverse side effects.
Kendi is an opportunistic fraud. ‘Anti-racist Baby’? You have got to be kidding.
I cannot speak to his employee’s complaints, but I can certainly believe them.
The reality is that to run a group of people, regardless of the endeavor, you need to have a sufficient degree of intelligence and the ability to manage others. Kendi does not have it, as can be gleaned from his sophomoric writings.
Didn’t he assume the middle name of X? Malcolm X was a fraud. King Jr was a fraud and should have had his doctorate revoked when it was discovered he plagiarized his thesis, but Boston University didn’t have the self-respect to carry through on its obligations to those who did legitimately earn a Ph. D. thus devaluing their efforts.
All of these black ‘scholars’ of black studies, history, etc. are frauds. That 1619 bitch is a fraud, as 10 esteemed scholars of American History can attest, and did attest in a letter to the NY Times pointing out her lack of understanding regarding the subject she presumed to explicate.

Will they start a new anti-exploitationist think-tank among the fired employees to protest what happened to them in Kendi’s anti-racist think tank? Is calling these think-tanks unfair to actual thinking?
Have they considered that “thinking” and “scholarship” are both products of white racism and colonialism?

He didn’t follow the Tony Soprano game plan of how to keep his troops happy. I like how she states that she worked “unreasonable hours,” but no numbers or efforts are ever stated. I suspect that a number around 3 hrs a day will eventually come out as the threshold of exploitation in “their” world.
With my children I told them an hours worth of work a day for the privilege of breathing, that they could waste much more than an hour, that complaining came out of their free time. As they grew older they were paid for additional work time. For many years they thought that 3 hrs or or less was unreasonable.
If I didn’t know better I would swear that this whole saga was an “In Living Color” skit. The reason comedians don’t play campuses anymore is because the administration is giving them the same material as part of their tuition and fees.
