Jerusalem: Policeman Pushes Back Female Palestinian Stabber, Propaganda Machine Edits Clip to Claim Israeli ‘Police Brutality’

Having no rational or moral argument to make for their case, Palestinian terrorists and their supporters have long resorted to flooding the media with false images, footage, and narratives to smear Israel.
Pallywood, the online Palestinian propaganda machine, was back in action on Monday, publishing a video supposedly showing an Israeli “soldier brutally [beating] up a young Palestinian female” for no apparent reason. A prominent pro-Palestinian Twitter/X account, “Times of Gaza,” posted a police surveillance camera footage where armed Israeli policeman can be seen hitting a burqa-clad woman while other officers point their guns at her. As of this article’s writing, the post received more than a million views and nearly 6 thousand retweets.
That would be an act of police brutality if only it were true. A closer look shows that the video had been edited Pallywood-style, leaving out the part where the woman pulls a knife to stab the policeman in a crowded street in Jerusalem’s Old City.
The policeman’s quick reflexes saved his life and that of the attacker, who was disarmed and promptly arrested at the scene. The 44-year-old attacker was a resident of Jenin, a West Bank stronghold of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist groups.
“The woman had tried to stab the police officer seconds before. The video has been cut to leave out this fact,” wrote the Twitter Community Notes, a user-driven fact-checking feature.

The Times of Israel reported the actual incident:
A Palestinian woman from the Jenin area in the northern West Bank was arrested after attempting to stab a police officer in Jerusalem’s Old City on Monday night, law enforcement officials said.
Police said the 44-year-old pulled out a knife in the Bab Hutta neighborhood, near the Lion’s Gate entrance to the Old City, and tried to stab an officer guarding the area.
The officer was unharmed, as the knife did not penetrate a protective vest he was wearing.
He subdued the assailant without gunfire, police said.
Other officers quickly reached the scene and detained her.

The real brutality and the tragedy is the growing frequency at which the Palestinian terrorists have been wounding and killing unarmed Israelis. In recent months, Palestinian gunmen have targeted Israeli families traveling by road. All this is being done in the name of Islamic religious warfare. ‘Our jihad won’t stop, the jihad terror group Hamas declared as it cheered recent attacks on Israeli civilians.
On Wednesday, Palestinian terror again struck Jerusalem’s Old City. Two Israelis were injured when a terrorist went on a stabbing spree with a butcher’s knife.
“A man in his 50s was seriously wounded on Wednesday, and a 17-year-old tourist suffered slight injuries in a stabbing attack at the Jaffa Gate to the Old City of Jerusalem,” the Israeli news website Ynet reported. “The assailant, a 17-year-old youth yielding from East Jerusalem, yielding a butcher’s knife, was apprehended by security forces shortly after he fled the scene.”

Two quibbles…
First, isn’t it “Palywood” with one ‘L’? Because Palestinian only has one ‘L’. We need a style guide for that, I think.
Second, If the person used a butcher knife, technically it’s a “slashing” attack, not a stabbing attack. There ain’t no way to stab someone with a butcher knife.

I know what you mean, but the “knife” you’re referring to is actually a cleaver.

A proper butcher knife is long and pointed. It’s designed mainly for “slashing” strokes to saw through large pieces of meat, but the point is necessary to cut meat from the bone, so it is effective for stabbing.
That rectangular chopping blade is a “cleaver”, and it’s mainly for chopping vegetables, not for most meat cutting – it cannot cut close to the inside curves of a bone, and it’s too short for a sawing stroke through a large piece of meat.
What are Arabs from PA controlled areas doing in Israel without a work permit? After all, if the canard about Israel’s bring a an apartheid state were true, Jenin should have an iron curtain around it, preventing anyone from entering or leaving.
As a nation state, Israel cannot occupy the country or a city that they have owned for thousands of years. Palestine was never a nation state. A regional area, yes, but a nation state, most certainly no.

That’s been the scholarly consensus for quite a while: The Philistines/Peleset/Palestinians were Greeks fleeing in ships from the collapse of the Mycenaean Greece civilization around 1200 BC. Historians identify them with the “Sea Peoples”, who appeared at this time and made a lot of trouble for those civilizations sophisticated enough to keep written records, and probably even more trouble for the smaller and less advanced areas.
They invaded Egypt in large numbers, but were defeated about 1175 in the Battle of the Delta. One group of these invaders were the “Peleset” according to Egyptian records, and it’s thought that this was rendered into Hebrew as “Philistine”. They left burial sites and pottery shards in the coastal cities near the early Hebrew settlements in the style common around the Aegean Sea – which is where the first Greeks recorded in history lived several centuries later.
Not all the Palestinians are murderous, of course, but apparently enough of them are that Israel just may have to bite the bullet, expel them all from the lands that Israel holds and wants, put up a big wall, and make clear what happens to any Palestinian that then creates a problem.
The Israelis will be vilified terribly, but that’s the choice they’re being pushed into.

Expel the “Palestinians” from anywhere bordering on Israel. It’s utterly disgraceful that there are old people who were born in “refugee camps” and still live in them – but that’s on the refugees and on their Arab Muslim neighbors and cousins, who are willing to maintain the camps but never to allow the refugees or their descendants to find homes and jobs elsewhere.
These “refugees” fled Israel when it became independent and was promptly set upon by all of the neighboring nations. They expected to follow the Arab armies as they overran Israel and “drove the Jews into the sea”. Their intentions towards the Jews were as murderous as Adolf Hitler’s. But the Israelis unexpectedly succeeded in defending themselves, and – surprise! – they would not let the Arabs that had left return to their land in Israel. (Other Arab Muslims stayed and maintained peace with their Jewish neighbors, and their descendants are still living there unmolested. It’s only the ones that expelled themselves that weren’t allowed to come back and try to find another way of murdering the Jews.) That left a festering mess on Israel’s borders, and it’s only grown worse.

Watching the unedited video. The attacker must’ve shouted something like “allahakbar,” because every civilian within hearing distance immediately jumped and dashed away. Except one supposed civilian man, he moved into the melee box. Which is very interesting. Was he the woman’s minder? He’s center background.

I was going to comment on the same thing. Somehow the video of the Israeli soldier taking down the woman is not sensitive, but when if you want to watch the version where the woman attacks first, you’re warned that you might not like what you see.
Twitter may be better than it was, but Elon’s still got a LOT of work to do if he wants to make it a platform that honors free speech.
When will the world learn that there is no middle ground with Muslims? If they get anything they ask for from the Israelis, that will just be the starting point for more demands. They say in their holy Koran that they think of the rest of the world as infidels and unworthy. They claim that they will eventually take over the free world and turn it into another paradise like Afghanistan. I feel for the state of Israel because the world sees them as the bad guys and the Palestinians as the good people. There are a lot of very liberal people in Isreal and they continue to believe that they can coexist with the Palestinians, but they can’t. The answer is a wall that stops almost all of the infiltration into Israel.
It would be better to treat this like the war it is, lay waste until Paliscum want peace. They are slow learners, worse than rabid dogs, who at least had social value until they were infected.
