Chicago’s O’Hare Airport Housing Hundreds of Migrants

One migrant described the conditions as inhumane with “many children sick to their stomachs and other things because the food they are being given is not adequate food.”

Chicago is another “sanctuary city” that has received migrants from Texas.

The city is running out of room. Officials have housed hundreds of migrants at O’Hare:

The area where asylum seekers being kept is under the guise of black curtains, by the bus shuttle center, out of sight for most of the people coming through the airport. Those stationed said O’Hare has been their home for several days.

“While they find another place for us to go, some have been here for 10 days, but people keep leaving and the city of Chicago will take us and will find a place for us to stay,” a man from Venezuela said.

He said there are hundreds of people like him are in the same boat and while it’s not their choice to sleep here there’s little else they can do.

“No one likes to live there, it’s just a process that we have to wait for. To be called and then we can leave. You are not going to be there for months, you are only there for days while the city finds a place for you.”

Yes, only a black curtain separates them from travelers.

One migrant described the conditions as inhumane with “many children sick to their stomachs and other things because the food they are being given is not adequate food.”

It’s not good:

Leaders at the volunteer medical team treating migrants at police stations were concerned after carrying out an emergency assignment there Saturday.

They saw more than 300 patients, including more than 100 children, said Sara Izquierdo, the team’s founder. Many were vomiting from the food.

“Cereal is not enough, [instant ramen] is not enough,” Izquierdo said. “I’d really like to see an improvement on the food at O’Hare, even if it’s talking to the restaurants there to see if they can get together leftover food at the end of the day.”

What a waste of this talent pool. I say put them to work immediately as pilots, aircraft mechanics, air hostesses, and traffic controllers. Diversity is our strength. This is who we are.

The illegals are complaining about inhumane conditions. I have some advice for them: GO BACK TO YOUR HOME COUNTRY.

I believe it was Sweden who decided they would no longer grant male immigrants asylum so they could bring in more females and families.

All Sweden did was push the problem 15 years down the road.

But this strategy has worked for conquering tribes for thousands of years. Own their women, own their tribe. The only twist is that the conquerors traveled elsewhere to conquer others, not the reverse.

Men do labor jobs, families consume resources for food, shelter, education and medical for kids, etc. That was mighty nice of Sweden I suppose, apparently they have too much money and are looking for a way to spend it.

What government agency is down there telling them the USA will take care of them…FARC?

Where’s the pioneer spirit among these folks? /S

O’Hare. Way back when, just after the Wright Bros., I had the misfortune to spend an occasional night alone in various empty boarding areas because I missed a last flight out. The next morning could not come fast enough.

The overnight wait is no better when you’re in a crowd of several hundred people. Trust me.

It’s the 21st century, folks, so airports are our new bus stations. Shortly the pimps will arrive to troll the runaways for earning potential.

You can bet that the pimps are already there working American runaways of all genders. They will just have to get bilingual assistants to cope with the variants of the Spanish language from Mexico south.

And as I’ve said before now it’s time for the Southern states to up their game, double down, and send even more illegals to sanctuary cities like Chicago and New York City. These cities sanctimoniously declared themselves “Sanctuary Cities” for illegals so they shouldn’t have a problem with it. So double, triple. quadruple the number of busses to these cities and be done with it. And if the NIMBY contingent in these cities complain well. too bad so sad. You talked the talk and now it’s time to walk the walk and deal with the illegals flooding our country.

Problem is, too many blue voters can’t live with the !hit they !hat and want to move here among us in the Southern states. If still blue, they aren’t welcome.

I see all these economic refugees, or ones coming for the benefits welcomed with open arms. Then, I think of the M. S. St. Louis, with refugees in fear of their lives, turned away. Both of these thing’s going on with the Democrats in charge.

As for “inadequate food@: when the US taxpayers are compelled to feed you, you say “thank you”.

O’Hare is an airport. President Grizzly would compel flag carriers of Mexico and other places – including China – to take their people home.

while it’s not their choice to sleep here
Bulls**t. You left your homes and trekked to El Norte to get some of that gold with which the city streets are paved. So you exactly chose this.

while the city finds a place for you
IOW, I’m not here to make a better life for myself, I’m here to receive a better life from the hard work of someone else.

because the food they are being given is not adequate food
Is it better than where you left? I’m betting it is. And if it isn’t, shouldn’t this mean you should go home?

I’d really like to see an improvement on the food at O’Hare
Said the vast number of travellers to ever go through there.

Honestly, having spent a night sleeping in the concourse of O’Hare – as I’m sure many others have, as well – I will say it is inhumane. Nut you folks chose this, and some people are giving to you to keep you from being fed to the coyotes, so shut up and accept it. My compassion is burned out for people who chose this.

Don’t like the food? Fine, f*cking starve. I don’t care, it doesn’t harm me and you weren’t invited anyhow.

    you weren’t invited anyhow
Well, depends on how you look at it. The law says they’re not invited.
But, see, we let senile Uncle Joe come for a visit, and HE invited all those other bums into the house.

The “man from Venezuela” is complaining. Let’s break down his complaint, shall we?

From Venezuela, he crossed into Colombia. He didn’t like it so he continued.

He then crossed into Panama. Didn’t like that place either.

Then he crossed into Costa Rica. Three times the charm.

He then crossed into Nicaragua. Nope.

He crossed into Honduras. Nah, just don’t FEEL it.

He then crossed into Guatemala. (Dude! You kidding me???)

Then onto Mexico. Cancun? The Yucatan? Can’t expect me to live there.

Finally makes it into the United States and complains about airport food. Some people, right?

So, send him further north. I’m sure he’ll like it much better in the tundra of Canada. His kids will appreciate the polar bear meat, I’m sure.

Somehow Texas was supposed to take care of these people instead? In fact they all voluntarily got into buses or planes for Chicago from Texas.

It says 300 of them were treated for an emergency medical situation. Sounds like infection.

I’m not so worried about the migrants who more or less chose this but the passengers at the airport, who deserve to be kept separated by more than a curtain from a mass infection event.

henrybowman in reply to artichoke. | September 8, 2023 at 1:05 pm

Not to mention a mass lawbreaking event.

Dolce Far Niente in reply to artichoke. | September 8, 2023 at 1:22 pm

I would like to point out that at least some of these invaders come from places where the sewage systems are so inadequate that they routinely throw used toilet paper on the floor rather than flush it (check out the restroom signs in border city WalMarts)

That’s a great way to introduce pathogens into your group, eh Jose?

Kind of makes you wish you stayed home and decided to enter our country the legal way.

Subotai Bahadur | September 8, 2023 at 2:55 pm

OK, I have visited the actual city of Chicago a few times years ago. From what I have seen it become, it would take violent compulsion appropriately resisted and overcome to get me to go back to the city. Since then I have had to change planes at O’Hare and believe me, I am glad that I no longer have reason to ever do that again.

Now add in that O’Hare is now a detention camp for hostile foreign invaders with the camp being run by an amazingly corrupt city, state, and local political system, and there is no reason for a law abiding American to set foot in O’Hare if it can be avoided at all. Some day the prisoners are going to take over the camp like a prison riot, and you are not going to want to be anywhere in the vicinity when that happens. You know that all those levels of government value the invaders more than they do American citizens.

When making travel arrangements, if at all possible pay the extra money for a route that does NOT layover or transfer at O’Hare.

So far Fuzzy is the only writer here that called them illegal aliens. I have no sympathy, send them all back to Mexico.. postage due.

I was thinking about the chance of a mass infection.. these people don’t have the old standard vaccines.. Great idea to house them in a busy airport.

If it happens at Hartsfield, I guess my flying days are over.

Used to be an old saying in the South that one could not go to heaven or hell without changing trains-or planes-in Atlanta first..
