Jordan Peterson Loses Free Speech Legal Battle in Canadian Court

“If you think that you have a right to free speech in Canada You’re delusional”

This all began back in June. It’s ridiculous. Canada is so lame.

The College Fix reports:

Jordan Peterson loses legal fight, must take remedial training: court

An Ontario court decided against Jordan Peterson in a judicial review, requiring him to complete a “remedial” public statement training to avoid disciplinary action.

The court affirmed a College of Psychologists of Ontario committee’s finding that some of Peterson’s “public language,” referring to some tweets and podcast statements, “may be reasonably regarded by members of the profession as disgraceful, dishonourable and/or unprofessional’” and posed “moderate risks of harm to the public.”

Those “risks” include “undermining public trust in the profession of psychology” and “may also raise questions about Dr. Peterson’s ability to appropriately carry out his responsibilities as a registered psychologist,’” according to Ontario Superior Court Judge Paul Schabas.

The court ruled that the College of Psychologists “can pursue their prosecution,” Peterson tweeted Wednesday.

“If you think that you have a right to free speech in Canada, you’re delusional,” he wrote.

The decision “requires Dr. Peterson to participate in a ‘coaching program’ directed by the College to ‘reflect on, and ameliorate [his] professionalism in public statements,’” according to the court.

If he fails to complete the program “at his own expense and to the coach’s satisfaction,” Peterson may undergo disciplinary procedures.

At issue were Peterson’s statements referring to former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Secretary Gerald Butts as a “prik,” stating “Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician” and calling a plus-sized model “Not Beautiful,” among others, according to the decision.

And this is the problem with having a single vetting agency (even though “independent”) for any profession when such “expert” agencies are all ideologically captured by an authoritarian religion (Progressivism). Peterson’s options now include adhering to the religion’s precepts or ceasing his professional practice. (Which, of course, is the point of the capture.)

Lots of people in academics have credentials. Very few have credibility.

Whenever I think the US has hit rock bottom, here comes Canada to assure me things could be worse. Jordan Peterson is a brave man. His peers should be ashamed of themselves for their silence.

This is one of the most urgent reasons to have a global government. When you have independent governments, one or two of them tend to go full boot-stomp before all the rest.

England’s civilian disarmament, Canada’s speech repression, Sri Lanka and Denmark’s agricultural pogroms, Germany’s criminalization of “hate speech,” Australia’s COVID concentration camps.

Then all the rest of the world has a bad example they can point to and say, “You see? Look how that turned out. That’s what happens when you put the left in charge, and we don’t want that.”

With a global government, the boot can stomp everybody in the world at the same time, crushing this avenue of transparency.

Regarding:
“The decision “requires Dr. Peterson to participate in a ‘coaching program’ directed by the College to ‘reflect on, and ameliorate [his] professionalism in public statements,’” according to the court.”

I would buy tickets to witness this show. I hope that it is video recorded and posted. I actually pity the poor slob who might be selected to be the “coach”.

They won’t allow Peterson to record it, and if he tries it will be “evidence” he is irredeemable.

I have little doubt but that his is irredeemable which is why this sequence of events seems to stem from a delusional but influential mind. Scary in reality.

Peterson can’t record it, so I wonder who will and how long it will take for that recording to be leaked?

Keep reading he must complete it to the coach’s satisfaction.

It won’t be entertaining unless he decides to go out in a blaze of glory.

If you want to watch it, it was filmed for you 55 years ago— in an episode so intense that not only was the character of the coach crushed, but it also took out the actor playing him.

The fascistic state of Canada would be a good candidate for a boycott to be honest.

That’s it! No more back back bacon and… and… uh… Molson for this family!

It would require more effort than most people think.
First things you would have to give up is paper towels and toilet paper.

Peterson lost the case — and Ontario will cause Canada to lose a noble, notable citizen.

I always thought psychologists taught that the words that are spoken only cause harm if the person on the receiving end reacts to them. If I were to try and insult or humiliate you then my action reflect badly on me. But only you can emotionally (and physically) control how you react to the sounds I am making. Maybe I misunderstood.
