John Kerry Targets Farmers in Quest to Achieve ‘Net Zero’ in Carbon Emissions

“Agriculture contributes about 33% of all the emissions of the world, depending a little bit on how you count it”

Biden’s ‘Climate Envoy’ John Kerry gave a speech in May that is just coming to light now, in which he paints a target on the agriculture industry in the name of fighting climate change.

Lots of people are pointing out that this sort of thinking would ruin many American farms, and cause starvation in the process.

FOX News reports:

Kerry ripped for demanding agriculture emission cuts: ‘Bankrupt every farmer in America’

U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry was blasted on social media over the weekend by critics who accused him of trying to destroy the agriculture industry in order to achieve “net zero” emissions.

“Agriculture contributes about 33% of all the emissions of the world, depending a little bit on how you count it, but it’s anywhere from 26 to 33, and we can’t get to net zero, we don’t get this job done unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution,” Kerry told a climate change summit in May.

“You just can’t continue to both warm the planet while also expecting to feed it,” Kerry added. “It doesn’t work. So, we have to reduce emissions from the food system.”

That clip was widely shared over the weekend after being posted by the Twitter account Wide Awake Media, which led to a new wave of criticism against the Biden administration’s top climate envoy.

Here’s the video:

You’ll notice that Kerry says this is all based on what scientists have told us and that all of it is coming true. How many times does he think he can get away with this?

This issue he is bringing up with farmers is something we are already seeing in Europe with Dutch farmers and dairy farmers in Ireland. A cynical person might think that what’s really going on here is an attempt by the elitist left to control the food supply.

People blasted Kerry on Twitter:

John Kerry would not be affected by this and neither would any of his fellow travelers in rich, elitist enclaves.

They think they are saving the planet and don’t care who suffers as a result.

A man for all treasons

No one voted for this pretentious a-hole. Can we send him to Mars?

John Kerry coming home from Viet Nam was a tragedy.

I don’t know who is worse, Al Gore or John Kerry. Al they are is leftist mouthpiece. Neither of them holds any BS in earth science degree and both are rich spoiled fools.

Save the planet by suicide. The only people stupid enough to buy that argument are environmentalists and Leftist politicians. They figure they can have the Earth to themselves once they kill everyone else of, but then they will discover that they don’t know anything about making anything work, growing food, etc., leaving them to die from their own arrogance and stupidity. I have more respect for a dung beetle than them.

There is already a global shortage of fertilizer because the Dutch, Germans, Brits and several other Europeans quit making fertilizer. UNICEF says hunger rose 25% last year. Look for hunger to double every year for the next 5 years. It will get worse until we start making more fertilizer or enough poor people starve to death so the others can survive.

The chose to buy it from Russia since then they didn’t have to do the emissions in their country. It is always a smart idea to outsource your food supply to people who you have historic disagreements with.

You can trust that Kerry has no plans of suicide. It’s our suicide he’s looking for.

Recall John Kerry and the P5+1 series of sham negotiations at Davos. 2010 he made reports to committee head Chuck Grassley. A
Potemkin series of lies. Grassley let him get away with it. The Obama admin gave Baroness Catherine Ashton High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs plenipotentiary power to negotiate on America’s behalf with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. The two sat alone in a room and made the infamous “No-Paper” deal concerning refinement of weapons grade uranium.

Just try to find reports on John Kerry’s “no-paper” Iran deal.

He’ll also have to destroy all animal and human life, since these breathe out carbon dioxide.

Kerry and his ilk want to destroy all personal independence. Get rid of small farmers by denying them gasoline; let large agribusinesses which can weather the transition take over all farmland, then nationalize their holdings. We’re advanced Americans and can make collective farming work, unlike those stupid Slavic Uentermenschen and Primitive Asiatics in Russian and China (and, btw, youns are raysiss…) last part is sarcasm.

Catherine Margaret Ashton, Baroness Ashton of Upholland, LG, GCMG, PC High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs.

The payoff.

In January 2017, Ashton became Chancellor of the University of Warwick.

Ashton is an old school communist. In the late 1970’s she was caught pilfering money from charity drives. That bit got scrubbed from her wiki page. Feminists and globalists fete and love her.

John Kerry: a malevolent monstrous misanthrope. He should practice what he preaches: stop jetting around, stop using any fossil fuel driven devices, including electricity, eat bugs and worms, and stop brearhing so as not produce any of that evil CO2.

MattMusson in reply to JackinSilverSpring. | August 1, 2023 at 8:47 am

This can only end with a billion or more poor people starving to death. That is the goal, to reduce the population.

      A feature, not a bug.

CommoChief in reply to JackinSilverSpring. | August 1, 2023 at 9:56 am

Yep. It is Malthusian nonsense but these assclowns believe it enough to starve billions though not themselves. They will seek to exempt themselves and their families via an indulgence of virtue signaling. Just as with proposed restrictions on air travel, SUV/Trucks and ICE vehicles these grifters and ideologues plan foe everyone else to pay the costs.

Concise in reply to MattMusson. | August 1, 2023 at 9:59 am

While stupid and evil, their plans do have consistency. Impoverish and starve the deplorable masses. They’re just wasting resources and exhaling CO2 anyway. The herd must be culled.

I’ve often wondered why there is no mention of America in the Bible, particularly in Revelation. I guess we’re seeing why in real time.

America is in Nostradamus, so I’m told.
The falling of the Twin Towers is the most recent example.
However, Nostradamus is so cryptic and equivocational that you can read anything and everything in it that you want to believe.
Nostradamus was the Q of his century.

LOL at your last line. Yeah, I’m not a big fan of random (i.e. non-Biblical) “prophets.” If they are wrong, even once, they are false. And I think those twin towers quatrains were made up after 9/11. I seem to vaguely recall seeing something about that either online or on some tv show.

“Agriculture contributes about 100% of all the food of the world, depending a little bit on how you count it, but it’s anywhere from 26 to 33, and we can’t get to net zero, we don’t get this job done unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution,” Kerry told a climate change summit in May.

population control

2smartforlibs | August 1, 2023 at 10:26 am

If the Giggalo gets his way and the population drops, my question is whos going to sever these self-centered fools?

A vegan influencer, Zhanna Samsonova, who lived entirely on a diet of exotic fruit, juices, and sunflower seeds while living in Malaysia has reportedly “died of starvation and exhaustion.”

Dolce Far Niente in reply to Neo. | August 1, 2023 at 11:07 am

    No wonder it died!
A true vegan would not eat the precious babies of plants, which is what seeds and fruits are. Only adult plants which are capable of fighting back are permissible.

    txvet2 in reply to Neo. | August 1, 2023 at 3:45 pm

I have no problem with this. People should be able to commit suicide by whichever method they prefer, as long as they don’t take anyone else with them.

gonzotx in reply to Neo. | August 1, 2023 at 4:36 pm

Lack of protein and fat will do that

Dolce Far Niente | August 1, 2023 at 11:05 am

Ask a climate hysteric “what is the ‘normal’ temperature of the earth?”

Surely the global temperatures were perfect 500 years ago, before manmade global warming. 1000 years? 12,000 years? Oops, not 12,000, we were in an ice age at the time.

I’m sure your average entitled CH will have this answer right on the tip of his tongue.

Then ask “once we hit the Net Zero target, what will the temperatures be?”

You’ll get a snotty glare from your average CH, just before he storms off.

I think Mr. Kerry and is progeny should no longer benefit from the work of those horrible farmers.

See, “Climate Change Obsession Is a Real Mental Disorder,” by Allysia Finley, Wall Street Journal, July 30, 2023.

If Lurch zeros out the peasants, who will wash his wife’s yachts and jets?⁸

Ummm, “depending on how you count it” — does this dipshit know that both plants and animals sequester carbon? Has anybody bothered to account for that?

THERESA, can I have an advance on my allowance? I’ve already gassed up the private jet, and I have to look important in Davos. My ego is getting more and more swollen, and it’s getting more expensive to get it around to my important meetings.

I never cease to wonder why blacks and vegans keep voting for the people who are trying to kill them.

    JohnSmith100 in reply to txvet2. | August 1, 2023 at 4:57 pm

There are no stats for vegans, with blacks only 15% score IQ 100 & up, that goes a long way toward explaining why such a high percentage of blacks have not figured our what Dems have done to them. In the end, Dems in large part defeated the purpose of the Civil war.

Anyone who wants to stop using ammonia fertilizer and diesel fuel to farm with hates people and hates poor people the most. Hates them enough to want them dead by starvation.

has anyone told Mr Kerry how farms functions, and what the product they produce does, I would think most farms in the us and probably the world are below net zero, the product they produce feeds the world, and the byproduct of the farm is to release oxygen back into the atmosphere, so it they really had ‘experts’ analyze the farms they would find the farms are not only a net producer of food but also of oxygen

“Agriculture contributes about 33% of all the emissions of the world, depending a little bit on how you count it”
And without them, you’d be dead in a month, you grotesque moron.

Kerry is another idiot “if it saves one lifer” who never read, much less understood, Bastiat’s “the seen and the unseen” essay.

Gun violence kills people.
Solution: ban guns. Whee!
Medical error kills 25x more people than guns.
Solution: ban doctors! Whee!
Wait, what?
Doctors also SAVE lives. So do guns.
But that’s the “unseen,” so Kerry doesn’t see it.
I bet he’ll see it when they make HIM eat the bugs… or go hungry.
Then we’ll see if man can live on ketchup alone.

He kind of has a horse face?
Hook him up to a plow and put the tractor in the barn.
