UN Chief Dials-Up #ClimateCrisis Panic: “Era of Global Boiling Has Arrived”
The only things boiling away are globalist plans to apply the tactics learned from covid response to obtain even more money, power, and control from climate ‘crisis’
I have recently been noticing that “Climate Cult” dominoes have begun to fall:
- Wind farm projects have been halted.
- Energy giant Shell is going to focus, once again, on natural gas and petroleum products.
- Sweden is supporting the construction of nuclear power plants, rather than going all-in on renewables.
All of these reports provides good evidence that the globalist push for green-energy-control of the world economy is failing.
Today we can add another story confirming that bureaucratic eco-activists are losing control of the narrative. The United Nations Secretary General is panicking and dialing-up the climate crisis hysteria.
The U.N. chief issued a stark warning on climate change this week: “The era of global warming has ended; the era of global boiling has arrived,” António Guterres declared in a news briefing, as scientists confirmed that July is set to become Earth’s hottest month on record.
“Climate change is here. It is terrifying. And it is just the beginning,” he said at a briefing at U.N. headquarters in New York on Thursday, as he described “children swept away by monsoon rains, families running from the flames [and] workers collapsing in scorching heat.”
He added that data showed that “July has already seen the hottest three-week period ever recorded; the three hottest days on record; and the highest-ever ocean temperatures for this time of year.”

Was Guterres confused between 100 degrees Fahrenheit (the temperature of a very hot day in San Diego) and 100 degrees Celsius (the actual boiling temperature of water)? In any case, I believe that if people were still buying the global warming pseudoscience, the Secretary General would not be engaging is mock-worthy histrionics.
Clearly, a more sober look at this historic data puts a substantially cooler perspective on this subject.

It seems a fair amount of the general disgust has to do with the climate activists themselves. It turns out, half of your everyday Frauen und Herren are just tired of their virtue signaling, inconvenient as hell, mindlessly destructive theatrical BS.
Polling elsewhere shows that there is no sense of climate panic by the general public.
Opinion polls and the actions of countries around the globe prove once again climate change ranks behind most other issues in the public’s mind and certainly behind the economy.
A story in the Washington Post (WaPo) notes that even amid the media’s blitzkrieg of climate alarm surrounding the present heatwave, most people are not clamoring for radical climate action:
If proponents of climate policies thought this year’s scorching summer temperatures and extreme weather events would propel the world to embrace rapid action to lower greenhouse gas emissions, they were sorely mistaken. If there is to be any hope that governments might address this issue, they will need a new strategy.

Hot places just mean that there’s a nearby parking lot, or something similar.
The test of global warming theory is the coldest place on earth. You can only get to be the coldest place by radiating into space, something that CO2 is supposed to block. So the test is, is the coldest place in earth warming?
The coldest recorded temperature on earth ever was in 2022. Apparently not.
The metal shrouded electronic sign at my former bank displayed the time and temperature. During the hottest part of the day, it was often 20-30F higher than the actual temperature – because the sensor was inside the sign.
If you want to get a climate catastrophe cultist really worked up, tell them the temperature indicator on the oven is a remote monitor for a back yard weather station.
Did you know that in the network of weather sensors that feed into these climate-cult ‘models’, each station covers an area roughly 12,000 square miles in size?
The idea that they’re even able to calculate a meaningful ‘global average’ temperature is laugh-out-loud absurd.
And a crapload of them are located at airports, meaning big cities and pavement.
The claims around distortions over the urban island heat effect have long been debunked. Its adjusted for in the temperature data. There are over 1200 monitoring stations in the US. That’s perfectly fine for establishing a data set for temperature trends. The critique is only relevant to the granularity of the data not with respect to the overall global temperature trends
‘Adjusting for it’ in the raw data is far from ‘debunking’. In fact, it is an explicit admission that the effect is real. If it wasn’t, why adjust the data?
Now, the adjustments themselves have repeatedly come into question. How does one ‘adjust’ the data? With an algorithm?
What’s another word for ‘algorithm?’ Educated guess.
To your second point, yes we can establish temperature trends with this data. But that is not all they’re trying to do with the data. They’re making absolutely hysterical claims about the data which simply cannot be known.

As for your claim that the tenoerature trends leads to spurious claims. It’s hardly spurious to say that that sea levels will rise by x when we know the value being melted in the poles. Along with known effects like increased extreme weather events, melting of permafrost etc. There are long term consequences to all this.
No human has ever lived in global average temperature. It is a bogus proxy. In fact, over a year most areas on Earth vary in temperature far more than the lousy 2 degrees C that scare the climate-Nazis.
In western WA I’m accustomed to a 20F swing day to night on average. For several years, I relocated to the rural midwest where the wife’s fam lives, and was shocked by the occasional 80F swing when a hot front pushed through before a severe storm rolled over us. With Gore touting the hockey-stick graph and the scientist who came up with it (cherry picked data sets) teaching others to do the same, they have zero credibility AFAIC. I can only imagine how they chart the temperature on one of those 80F swing days? Min? Max? Median? Mean? In the end, it’s all a SWAG.
