Survey Finds ‘Almost Half of Millennials Want Jail Time for Misgendering’ Someone

“There has been a concern that we are seeing the rise of a generation of censors, who have been taught since a young age that speech is harmful and even violent.”

This is a reminder of how effective the left has been with its agenda on gender. This is absolute crazy talk.

Professor Jonathan Turley writes:

Pronoun Lockdown: Almost Half of Millennials Want Jail Time for “Misgendering”

A recent survey by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek, found that 44 percent  of millennials (between ages 25-34) favor criminal charges for people who use the wrong pronouns for others or so-called “misgendering.”  We have previously discussed how misgendering is now a crime in countries like Great Britain. Misgendering has been referred to as an “act of violence” at some U.S. universities.

There has been a concern that we are seeing the rise of a generation of censors, who have been taught since a young age that speech is harmful and even violent.

Yet, hate speech is protected in the United States. Given that fact, it is astonishing to claim that a pronoun violation could lead to incarceration. Only 31 percent of the millennials disagreed with the proposition.

They are not alone.

Recently, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.), who is a lawyer, said that “if you espouse hate … you’re not protected under the First Amendment.” Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean declared the identical position: “Hate speech is not protected by the First Amendment.”

Even some dictionaries now espouse this false premise, defining “hate speech” as “Speech not protected by the First Amendment, because it is intended to foster hatred against individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual preference, place of national origin, or other improper classification.”

And yet, not that long ago, the ACLU was defending the real hate speech of neo-Nazi’s on the basis of freedom of speech. https://www.aclu.org/documents/aclu-history-taking-stand-free-speech-skokie

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

Once we no longer understand the purport of the 1st Amendment, we no longer have a Constitutional Republic; the slope is very steep and very slippery.

Democrats have learned that they can change history simply by denying it outright. If they say there’s a classification of speech not protected by the 1A, then by golly, suddenly there is.

For their next trick (and this IS happening now, by the way) they are filing a bill “acknowledging” that the ERA (amendment) was ratified and is now in effect, even though all rational evidence clearly shows it failed.

In the MSM, Democrats have found a genie that gives them infinite wishes, and gives us none.

So be it. You will henceforth refer to me as “Willem, Prince of Orange, Duke of Nassau, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Knight Commander of the Holy Roman Empire, Admiral General of the Imperial Forces, Adviser to the Martian Nests, Protector of the Poor, and, by the Grace of God, King of the Lowlands and Emperor of the Planets and the Spaces Between.”

Oooh! Rusty Bill!!! Can I identify as a jedi grand master and head of the Jedi council? I mean if the left can be whatever they want, I demand to be recognized as a Jedi Grand Master! And yes I have a cool lightsaber to boot! 😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣😜

How about we just jail them for inventing or using terms like “cisgender” or “transgender” or calling someone “fascist” or “Nazi” who has not exhibited any actual fascist or Nazi tendencies? Or why not just declare them all Socialists and jail them for that? Would they be as anxious to jettison the 1st Amendment then?

Or, arrest those causing the word “gender” for “sex”.

If they want to pretend and play dress-up, that’s up to them, but they have no right demanding that others enable their delusion and take part in their fantasy and threaten prosecution or civil or administrative sanctions against those who don’t want to play their game.

To be technically correct, the only time the word GENDER even applies is when describing two types of an electrical / electronic connection. Example: MALE GENDER RCA plugs connect to FEMALE RCA jacks. Remember hooking up your stereo component system?

In fact “gender” is also a term used in linguistics by many languages, in some such as Latin and German there is a third gender, “neuter” for things that are not considered masculine or feminine.

Turn their own tactics back! Sue them for hate speech. In my book fascist, nazi, and the like are slurs worthy of legal redress and REPARATIONS!!!

Millennials = utter fools and useless idiots

I would love to give any of these poor misguided moppets a concrete demonstration. First I call them a name, and record the reaction. Then i break their arm and several ribs with a crowbar. Now? Can you tell the difference?

We are up against the stupidest stupid in history. Course correction won’t be pretty.

Perhaps one of the Constitutional experts who wants to send people to jail for using the wrong pronouns can show us exactly where, in the United States Constitution, such words or terms constitute any sort of violation.

And as to those who throw around the term “hate speech” all the time, perhaps one of them can show us where, in the United States Constitution, such a term is ever mentioned or defined. In point of fact, the term “hate speech” was created by the Left out of thin air to use as a bludgeon in order to silence anyone with whom they disagree.

Absolutely! Why do we keep allowing them to control terms and definitions? Are we conservatives too danged stupid to see that playing nice and civilized isn’t going to get us squat? The only thing these worthless, self-entitled little snots understand is having their same tactics turned back onto themselves with a million-fold compounded interest.

We all sit around and whine and cry about this, but when are all of us conservatives, AND BY DANG, I MEAN EVERY LAST ONE OF US, going to start lighting up the phone banks of our elected officials and be heard? When are EVERY LAST ONE OF US going to get as loud and obnoxious as the worthless snots forcing participation in the delusions of the mentally sick people down our throats? It keeps getting worse and worse because all the rest of us are letting it.

I love how the Texas police dealt with ANTIFA at a pride counter-demonstration. These cowardly pukes come dressed for battle with their faces hid and spray a man with mace. Texas cops caught the little turd, put it on the concrete, slapped it into cuffs and off the little snot went to jail. Good!

We have reached peak stupidity–I was in court watching a pro se defendant who told the judge he needed a continuance because he felt so unsafe being in the same room as the manager of a hotel, who happened to be up on the stand as a witness.

He told the judge he felt too unsafe to even ask the witness questions because they had had a disagreement over his claim. The judge told him if he felt that unsafe, he could direct questions to her and she would ask them of the witness–when he found out he couldn’t get his continuance, he no longer felt too unsafe to ask questions.

These woke claims and words are just tools for the idiot children to get their way. Too bad we can’t require them all to sit in a collective time out
