#CocaineGate: White House Accounting of Biden Family July 4 Weekend Whereabouts at Odds With Pool Reports

The story of the Biden White House cocaine discovery, which social media netizens have dubbed “#CocaineGate,” continues to evolve in what is increasingly coming across as a high-level attempt at a cover-up, perhaps—as some political commentators have speculated—to shield President Joe Biden’s son Hunter.

The original alleged location of the baggie of illegal drugs has changed four times since Sunday, with it first being discovered “near” the White House according to reports, then in the White House library, then in a “work area” close to the West Wing, and now “in a cubby near the White House’s West Executive entrance” in close proximity to the Situation Room, which MSNBC noted was “near where—for example—the Vice President’s vehicle is parked.”

Though it may sound from that particular report as though the Biden team is preparing to set up one of their biggest 2024 liabilities, Kamala Harris, to take the fall, the groundwork is being laid in a different direction: on either “workers” in the White House or possibly on the Secret Service.

But before we get to that, let’s take a look at comments a seemingly exasperated White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made Friday in response to more questions about the timeline of events and speculation over who the culprit is (emphasis mine):

Reporter: I’m just asking again: Can you just say once and for all whether or not the cocaine belonged to the Biden family?[…]Jean-Pierre: So we’re not avoiding the question; that is not true. We’ve answered this question, litigated this question for the last two days exhaustively. You know, there has been some irresponsible reporting about the family, and — and so I got to call that out here. And I have been very clear. I was clear two days ago when talking about this over and over again, as I was being asked a question. As you know — and the media outlets reported this — the Biden family was not here. They were not here. They were at Camp David. They were not here Friday. They were not here Saturday. They were not here Sunday. They were not even here Monday. They came back on Tuesday. So to ask that question is actually incredibly irresponsible. And — and I’ll just leave it there.

Watch:

The problem with Jean-Pierre’s accounting of the Biden family’s whereabouts over the July 4 holiday is that it doesn’t quite match up with pool reports, which the New York Post‘s Steven Nelson observed after the comments were made:

Further, it is not “irresponsible” to speculate as to whether or not the cocaine could have been brought in and left by a member of the Biden family considering Hunter Biden in particular not only has battled drug addiction but also has a tendency to forget about important personal possessions like laptops:

As to the blame game, Biden national security advisor Jake Sullivan was also at the Friday press briefing and insinuated that “workers” might be to blame for the cocaine find, while noting the Situation Room had been closed “for months” due to construction:

The Situation Room is not in use and has not been in use for months because it is currently under construction. We are using an alternate Situation Room in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. So the only people coming in and going out of the Sit Room in this period have been workers who are getting it ready to go.

Watch:

This purposeful insinuation that “workers” were at fault was an insult to our intelligence, especially considering that as former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino pointed out earlier this week, security screenings at the White House are extraordinarily thorough and typically would catch something like cocaine—unless it happened to be carried in by someone who bypassed security, like a family member:

Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton predicted there would be some Secret Service agents who would likely take the fall for whoever the culprit is, in the interests of the Biden White House putting this behind them ahead of 2024:

Sadly, it wouldn’t be the first time something like that has happened.
