Santa Barbara Public Schools Offering Black Students ‘Healing Spaces’ Starting Next School Year

The left is now pretty much ignoring laws and civil rights in order to promote their agenda.

Santa Barbara public schools to offer ‘healing spaces’ for black students only
Beginning next school year, California’s Santa Barbara Unified School District will make “healing and affirmation” for black students “as accessible as school lunch.”
This is due to the district working with the UC Santa Barbara Healing Space clinic. According to its website, Healing Space “provide[s] a therapy space to address racial trauma and foster resilience” for black students and residents.
“The collective toll of racism on Black Americans in the US is widespread,” the clinic’s site reads. “This ranges from police brutality to mass incarceration to the school-to-prison pipeline and in today’s world, ongoing discrimination in the US healthcare system related to COVID-19.”
SBUSD students of color will be able to attend “regularly held youth workshops and ‘healing circles’ to address race-based stress and wellness,” as well as “individualized, direct therapy services [to] respond to incidents of racialized bullying,” the Santa Barbara Independent reports.
In addition, SBUSD Assistant Superintendent ShaKenya Edison said black students can partake of “celebratory cultural events” during lunch hour, “break bread” with black clinicians and “build an ‘internal community.’”
Edison said the district will make sure that black students are “known by name, face, and story on each of our campuses.”

Segregation by any other name is still segregation, and it is evil.
When will these schools stop coddling, pampering and otherwise indulging these snowflake students and the fools who enable and teach them to be victims? Oh, wait…it’s California… that means never. When it blows up in their face everyone will be standing around with shocked looks wondering what went wrong with their Nirvana and trying to figure a way to blame it on whites and Republicans.
“Build an internal community”? Surely that would be decried as racist if whites did that.
They agree with the white supremacists of the Confederacy: Blacks and Whites should not be together. A war was fought over it and their side lost.
“…a therapy space to … foster resilience…” Oops! They misspelled anger, resentment, entitlement, hatred, bigotry and racism. That’s what their programs foster.

Though they’re generally known by their more common name:
emergency rooms.
