Biden Calls Xi a ‘Dictator’ a Day After Blinken’s China Trip

Biden Calls Xi a ‘Dictator’ a Day After Blinken’s China Trip

The Associated Press: Biden’s remarks “opens new rift just after Blinken’s tensions-easing trip.”

A day after Washington declared “progress” in steadying diplomatic ties with China, President Joe Biden has angered Beijing by calling Chinese President Xi Jinping a dictator.

Speaking at a private fundraiser, President Biden boasted that his shooting down of Chinese spy balloons caused “great embarrassment” to the Communist “dictator.”

“The reason why Xi Jinping got very upset in terms of when I shot that balloon down with two box cars full of spy equipment is he didn’t know it was there,” President Biden told Democrat donors on Tuesday. “I’m serious. That’s what’s the great embarrassment for dictators, when they didn’t know what happened.”

The unscripted remark comes a day after Secretary of State Antony Blinken returned from his China visit, declaring it a great success. “Blinken on Monday said that the United States and China had made “progress” toward steering relations back on track as both sides agreed on the need to “stabilize” the bilateral relationship,” CNN reported earlier this week.

Reuters reported Biden’s remarks:

At a fundraiser in California, Biden said Xi was very embarrassed when a suspected Chinese spy balloon was blown off course over U.S. airspace early this year. Blinken had said on Monday the chapter should be closed.

“The reason why Xi Jinping got very upset in terms of when I shot that balloon down with two box cars full of spy equipment in it was he didn’t know it was there,” Biden said.

“That’s a great embarrassment for dictators. When they didn’t know what happened. That wasn’t supposed to be going where it was. It was blown off course,” Biden said.

Biden as president has previously referred to China as “essentially” a dictatorship and “a place for the autocrat, the dictator,” while saying no other world leader wants to be Xi.

But Tuesday’s remarks about the Chinese leader were some of his most direct.

The issue isn’t that President Biden took a principled stand against China’s Communist dictatorship. In his subsequent interaction with the reporters at the White House, the president appeared dazed and confused when quizzed about the remarks.

Since Biden took office, his staffers have been busy clearing the trail of political and diplomatic wreckage left behind by a mumbling and bumbling president. His apparent cognitive decline should cause great worry as the U.S. faces an emerging hostile military alliance between China and Russia.

President’s comments appear to have upended Blinken’s efforts to normalize relations with China. “Biden’s remarks “opens new rift just after Blinken’s tensions-easing trip,” The Associated Press noted.

Chinese foreign ministry threatened diplomatic retaliation over the remarks. “Beijing says Washington could face “consequences” for “provocations” against Chinese President Xi Jinping,” The South China Morning Post reported.

This should come as a big blow to Biden’s Climate Czar, John Kerry, who desperately seeks China’s support in pushing his global climate agenda.

Reporter: “Chairman Xi, what do you think of President Biden calling you a dictator?”

Chairman: “I’m disappointed. After giving him 10 million dollars, he turns around and calls me names.”

I guess $10 million just doesn’t buy the politician like it once did. 😁

Biden realizes that people are going to pay attention to the &30 million a year in bribes that China is paying to Biden. This statement is an attempt to show that he hasn’t sold us out.

We need to hold a long impeachment hearing in order to expose and publicize Quisling Biden. Best to wait until closer to the election.

I’m sure that China understands that Quisling Joe has to pretend to be tough on China for political reasons and name calling doesn’t really bother them much.

What really matters is when Joe tells China that they can attack Taiwan without a serious response from the USA. Oh as long as they send more money.

The rats of the GOPe are in on the grift and treason, and they’ll do everything in their power to protect Biden.

What, the pedophile accidentally told the truth? He just caused a lot of extra work for all of the Liars in his fake Administration cuz now they’ll have to walk that back again and again.

For once, Zhou Baideng is right; and Xi is probably secretly proud of his dictatorial powers. However, handling relations with China, especially when our own technological, productive, and military edge is badly eroded, requires a great deal more finesse, and far more willingness to put up with nuance to stroke the ego of a very prickly and bullying counterpart.

Yeah he dropped the ‘dictator’ line and the ‘your AR 15 won’t beat an F16’ line as chaff to distract from the release of the absolutely damning IRS whistleblower info.

Remember, there are still five or six Democrats who honestly believe Trump was worse at foreign policy speeches than this… um… (censored).

“That’s what’s the great embarrassment for dictators, when they didn’t know what happened.”

Likewise, Dictator Joe must’ve been equally embarrassed when he didn’t know what to do about the balloon for two weeks.

Not a nice thing to say about your employer

Consider the source. It wasn’t a slur. Biden would love to be a communist dictator.

China knows exactly whom they are dealing with in Biden. Every screwup is not a problem for them, but an opportunity – like when Biden said, in effect, a small Russian invasion of Ukraine could be OK.

Of course he says this right before the meeting with the leader of India.
He’s trying to play both sides and thinks (well, his handlers think) no one will ever compare past and future statements. They’re meaningless to him (his handlers), so why would anyone else bother to check them?

What’s the problem with your administration cozying up to dictators?
