University of Colorado Boulder Suggests Misgendering Someone Can be an Act of Violence

“In the event that you transgress by using a pronoun that someone doesn’t prefer, the guide recommends apologizing.”

If you really believe this, are you even ready for college? Perhaps you need to overcome some other things first.

Campus Reform reports:

Misgendering is an ‘act of violence,’ university argues

A page on the University of Colorado Boulder’s (CU Boulder) website under its “Pride Office” claims that misgendering people can be considered an “act of violence.”

“Choosing to ignore or disrespect someone’s pronouns is not only an act of oppression but can also be considered an act of violence,” asserts the “Pronouns” guide, which was “created by students, for students” and listed under the office’s LGBTQ+ resources.

The students further encourage everyone to use gender-neutral pronouns until they are sure which gender the person they are addressing uses.

“If someone tells you their pronouns, use those!” they exclaim. “If you don’t know someone’s pronouns, don’t assume gendered pronouns and use gender-neutral ones, like they or ze.”

They add that it is “never safe to assume someone’s gender” and that “living a life where people will naturally assume the correct pronouns for you is a privilege that not everyone experiences.”

Using someone’s pronouns incorrectly, even unintentionally, is alleged by the students to “lead to dysphoria, exclusion and alienation.”

In the event that you transgress by using a pronoun that someone doesn’t prefer, the guide recommends apologizing.

“If you make it a big deal, you draw more attention onto someone who maybe doesn’t want it,” they state. “As long as you portray that you are sorry and you try harder next time, it’s going to be okay.”

So, someone who is ill with gender dysphoria has to be treated as absolutely normal, or else. What a topsy-turvy world we live in.

And these creatures demand we keep track of each person’s delusions and participate in them. Or else, be physically attacked for it, because that whole ” is Violence” game is a green light to a mob attack in response to the .

… ”(something) is Violence” game is a green light to a mob attack in response to the (something).

Really boils down to: disagreement with the different from the required narrative justifies violence on the dissident by the mob.

So, Orwell has morphed from a fiction author to a policy maker in order to codify the mentally confused.

Just some hard and fast truths:
• There are only 2 genders.
• A person’s sex is not “assigned at birth,” it is determined by biology.
• Gender dysphoria is a mental disorder and should be treated as such. It is not a disability and, while it should not be stigmatized, neither should it be normalized.
• An opinion that’s different than yours is not misinformation, disinformation, hate speech, racism, violence, or anything else. It’s just an opinion that’s different than yours.
• Words are not violence. Nobody is made “unsafe” because of the opinions of others and no rational person is “harmed” or “traumatized” by someone else’s viewpoint. They might be upset or offended, but that’s not the same as a punch in the nose.

If you want to pretend and play dress-up, I don’t really care, but you have no right to demand that I enable your delusion and threaten me with prosecution or some civil or administrative sanction if I don’t.

They used to say that neurotics build castles in the air and psychotics move into them. Now we have to add that social justice warriors demand that everyone else move in as well.

But shouting “free Palestine“ while throwing eggs at Jewish students commemorating, the holocaust is just “legitimate criticism of Israel“ and calling it antisemitism (much but less violence) is merely trying to intimidate critics of Israel.
