The Deconstruction Of The Country Is On Track

The Deconstruction Of The Country Is On Track

The relentless demonization of the nation that has been taking place in education particularly in the last 25 years is having an impact. The education activists who now populate the system and have moved on to corporations and government, seek to deconstruct the country … and it’s working.

I may not get everything right, but one thing I definitely got right is that the fight over education is a fight for national survival. It’s been a frequent theme of mine for several years, including multiple speeches and presentations to state legislators:

Now, I know you probably thought you were coming to a meeting to talk about educational policy, not how you’re going to save the nation. But I want to talk about how you can save the nation.

The ideology of critical race theory puts, at its core, in its center, that race is the most important thing in a student’s life. That skin color is the most important thing in how their life is going to develop. It’s an extremely pernicious ideology. If you wanted to think of a way to tear this country apart, it’s hard to think of a way better than what they are doing.

You are pitting students against each other based on skin color.

You are pitting students against their parents. There was that horrible incident that just happened where a little girl testified how at school they told her, don’t tell your parents about what you’re being taught. And she had testified before the school committee that that made her uncomfortable but her mom told her that you can tell me anything, but at school they were telling her not to tell about critical race theory. And if people have something to hide, there’s usually a reason for that.

It pits students against our economic system of capitalism. As a prior speaker just noted, it’s not surprising that students have this rosy view of socialism and communism because capitalism is demonized almost every day in classrooms across the country.

It pits children against the concept of meritocracy, of working hard. That somehow, showing your proof in math is a symbol of white supremacy, which is absurd. There is not a single parent of any racial or ethnic group who does not want their children to actually learn math the proper way.

It ultimately turns children against their own country. A lot of polling shows that the younger the person is in this country, the less proud they are to be an American.

The fight over critical race theory in education is a fight in many ways for our national survival. And you are on the front lines of that fight.

A survey released by The Wall Street Journal measures how in just a quarter of a century traditional values of patriotism, religion, and even the value of child bearing, have collapsed. While there may be many causes, there is no doubt that the relentless demonization of the nation that has been taking place in education particularly in the last 25 years is having an impact. The education activists who now populate the system and have moved on to corporations and government, seek to deconstruct the country, to tear it down because it is iredeemably racist, capitalism is evil, and we are illegal occupiers. DEI is the living, breathing bureaucratic mechanism.

From WSJ, America Pulls Back From Values That Once Defined It, WSJ-NORC Poll Finds

Patriotism, religious faith, having children and other priorities that helped define the national character for generations are receding in importance to Americans, a new Wall Street Journal-NORC poll finds.

The survey, conducted with NORC at the University of Chicago, a nonpartisan research organization, also finds the country sharply divided by political party over social trends such as the push for racial diversity in businesses and the use of gender-neutral pronouns.

Some 38% of respondents said patriotism was very important to them, and 39% said religion was very important. That was down sharply from when the Journal first asked the question in 1998, when 70% deemed patriotism to be very important, and 62% said so of religion.

The share of Americans who say that having children, involvement in their community and hard work are very important values has also fallen. Tolerance for others, deemed very important by 80% of Americans as recently as four years ago, has fallen to 58% since then.

While the trends cut across age groups, the decline is most pronounces among younger people:

But younger Americans in particular place low importance on these values, many of which were central to the lives of their parents.

Some 23% of adults under age 30 said in the new survey that patriotism was very important to them personally, compared with 59% of seniors ages 65 or older. Some 31% of younger respondents said that religion was very important to them, compared with 55% among seniors.

Only 23% of adults under age 30 said that having children was very important.

A culture devoted to destroying any claim of American exceptionalism also has taken a toll:

Some 21% in the survey said that America stands above all other countries in the world, a view that some call American exceptionalism. Half said that America is one of the greatest countries, along with some others. The share who said other countries are better than the U.S. rose to 27%, up from 19% when the same question was asked in 2016.

The charts are shocking:

Needless to say, the problems are dramatically more pronounced among Democrats:

These findings are consistent with other surveys.

A Fox News poll in 2022 found that pride in the country was down 30% compared to 2011. Another WSJ/NBC poll found in 2019 that Millenials do not hold many of the same values as older generations in the U.S.

All is proceeding according to plan.

It really does matter who is president. The old saw that ‘elections matter’ is no exaggeration. Corrupt elections matter even more.

BierceAmbrose | March 27, 2023 at 9:16 pm

What happens when we stop treating these people as if their opinions matter?

People loved America under Trump, except for the reds

Love it or leave it

Eric R. in reply to gonzotx. | March 28, 2023 at 6:27 am

The good people may try to leave it (secession) but the ruling Communists won’t allow it. Eric Swalwell tweeted about nuking cities that would not give up their guns.

    He was not joking.

CommoChief in reply to gonzotx. | March 28, 2023 at 8:10 am

The great sorting has picked up the pace as people abandon the areas which don’t fit their values or where local/State govt fail to deliver it’s side of social compact.

BierceAmbrose in reply to CommoChief. | March 30, 2023 at 5:36 pm

You can also sort in place — choose to engage with that stuff this particular way: you do you. Call back to the much misrepresented religious admonition:

“Be ye in the world, but not of it.”

Well, I’m in your stupid system, as much as I can’t avoid. BUT it’s not like I buy in to any of your pretenses or claims. I can still play along as far as that benefits me in my own terms. You do have the guns, and know how to use them… up to a point.

Gotta suck for you tryin to feel good about yourself for taking what you can extract by force from people who hate you for it. Explains why you’re so miserable, BUT I don’t have to play along with that part. I’m having fun.

What happened today in Tennessee is not unrelated, but it started in earnest to manifest in society in 2008. Thank you Mr. Obama, for taking the good from America, including to fill your pockets, while stoking the worst, and laying waste to the institutions.

While I think Obama accelerated things, IMO America has been in decline since the 1960’s, with the assassination of JFK, the Vietnam War, LBJ, his Great Society program and his Guns & Butter fiscal mis-management, leading to the inflation and bad economic times of the 1970’s. I would argue that before that period families needed only one working parent to have a decent middle class life, with solid emphasis on moral values – after those years not so much.

No doubt this is long growing. It was largely limited to the university. The main point is that it took on a new dimension that Obama cynically helped to usher in. And now it is militant and foreboding. Idiots that believe they are making things better, but will actually be the first targets of true repression.

BierceAmbrose in reply to oldschooltwentysix. | March 30, 2023 at 5:49 pm

President Obama was an outstanding leader, in that he successfully led the country into the hateful, diminished state he promised his supporters, the decline he and they felt was its deserved destiny, and still do. Except in Martha’s Vineyard — that can stay nice and peaceful. Like, first by keeping other brown-ish people out. The wrong ones, you know, “them.”

    Lest we forget…

“There are those…” you know the ones “… bitterly clinging to their guns and religion.”Bitterly clinging. What an emotional reaction. Couldn’t be a reasoned response, responsibility, or right. Why “because they’re afraid.” Really, that’s another reactive response. Badly regulated. One wonders, afraid of what? “… afraid of America becoming less white.”

The man, or his ghost writers, really was rhetorically gifted — able to wrap 3, 4, 5 or more “fighting words” level calumnies in one statement, delivered by implication, in mellifluous voice.

Myself, I prefer people screaming hate to scream their hate — more congruent. Perhaps that’s the Irish in me. (?Was that racist?)

So what things are valued? Or is nothing valued other than self?

When do we quit being civil and polite with these cretins?

Eric R. in reply to scooterjay. | March 28, 2023 at 6:26 am

They now control everything – every institution. It is too late. They will exterminate us if we rebel.

It would be a genocide on par with anything the world saw in the 20th century.

They’ll exterminate us if we don’t.

“they think they’re “untouchable” until they’re not”
Quite so. When one side thinks it is certain to their entitlement, the day comes when that confidence is shaken if not shattered. The streets may not be all theirs one day. It can even be many days..

This needed the republican policy of preemptive surrender.

Read Devil and Karl Marx Communism’s Long March of Death, Deception and Infiltration.
Paul Kengor shows how Marxism has turned into Cultural Marxism moving from class warfare to Cultural, race and gender. Karl Marx’s goal of destruction of western civilization is being followed by today’s Marxists.

I freely admit that I no longer consider myself patriotic, because I cannot be patriotic to a Communist state.

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to Eric R.. | March 28, 2023 at 7:54 am

I was patriotic to a country that could do anything it set its mind to do. Same for being able to walk most streets in daylight without my head on a swivel. A time when real crime was prosecuted. A time when police were there to maintain peace and order, not be a branch of the military. A time when. single income could support a family.

That all began to die away when LBJ took over.

The problem likely comes from and starts in the schools. We grew reciting the Pledge of Allegiance each morning in classrooms adorned with portraits of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and, later, JFK.

Today? The Pledge is racist, the former Presidents water slave owners or worse and long dead, and the flag is a rainbow. And the teachers? Likely unhinged Communist/socialist perverts.

All of these comments point to one political party and the factions that maintain and control it.

freespeechfanatic | March 28, 2023 at 8:19 am

There is not a strictly political solution to this, and there is no political figure today — not even Trump — with a deeper sense of how to contend with this national spiritual crisis. I do believe a leader is necessary to coalesce the energy and wits to contend with this crisis. In my fanciful moments, I imagine this leader to merge the qualities of Archibishop Vigano, Lech Walesa, Orianna Falaci and Bobby Kennedy.

The left has been playing the long game since the 50’s. The right has been content to just being right and not really doing much about it. We are witnessing the systematic disassembly of our nation, it is well planned, well funded and well executed. If we are willing to fight for the soul of our Nation we had better get serious about it as we now have an entire generation of pinko NPC’s reaching voting age and there wont be any coming back from that without seriously bloody confrontations. Remember, we let this happen, and I say that as a cold war veteran that watched the wall come down while stationed in Germany. In this short span of time we have allowed the encroachment of communism destroy us within.

When God gave Noah the blueprints for building the Ark it’s worth noting He didn’t make provision for any “extra” rooms for potential repenters who may decide to believe Noah. He knew well beforehand man had reached an irredeemable level.
Feels like now. Buckle up.

My opinions and ability to affect any aspect of USA life even at the most local level is bit a mosquito fart in a hurricane (typhoon in the Pacific Ocean).

Alas, I am but along for the ride quickly nearing my departure point. I am very grateful that my prime, best years occurred before the quick increase in societal negatives that are enveloping We, the People. However, the USA elite class is doing exceptionally well in their New Gilded Age as the ever-growing percentage of working-poor and worse are entering a New Dark Age that will, I fear, steadily envelope 95% or so of Western civilizations’ populace as the New World Order continuously gains power and control of all systems of command and control.

100 years ago John Dewey (in short) figured out that if you could indoctrinate the young at some point you could bring the country to its knees.

The only solution to this is complete economic collapse, which will probably happen within a decade.

So partisans are equal on money’s importance but disagree on everything else.

That is actually the PERFECT set up for capitalism and meritocracy while being a recipe for disaster under socialism and political entitlement.

Prof Jacobson, if we want to win this war, we’ve got to cut off the money supply to the woke universities. Lawsuits and blog posts are fine, but legislators need to cut off the money supply and the easy credit in student loans.

For every $1 dollar they made it cost the US economy $13 dollars.

Quite the negative societal ROI.

Largest crime scene in history. Multiply this across the globe.

Who answers these surveys honestly–or at all?

BierceAmbrose | March 30, 2023 at 5:56 pm

I think they’re measuring the wrong thing.

Patriotic? I’m pretty proud, committed, honored and humbled to be part of The American Covenant — The US, as I choose to understand it.

What these jackholes do under that name, I despised before it was cool or common. I’m a trend-setter.

Religious? My conventional religious leanings are none of anybody’s business in The Country of the Covenant — the one I occupy, regardless of anybody else’s (wrong) opinion.

Under our system, and the values of this agreed nation properly understood, religion holds a separate, honored place.

The degeneracy and pretense called by either of those names these days are deservedly despised. The real stuff, well, among the most important things.

Marxism festered in higher ed, and spread to the majors, like law, journalism and education.

Then it was spread in those specialties, via tainted news, legal decisions and maleducation.

Now the generations are pitted against each other, not only splitting the nuclear family, but turning the younger members into card carrying communists.

Is it too late for an intervention?

John Skookum | March 31, 2023 at 9:36 pm

I’ll tell you what’s happening from my point of view. These precipitous falls in patriotism and religiosity are coming from the right, not the left.

When I talk to my young adult son, we both agree that the government of this country is irredeemably worthless and evil, as is a solid majority of our fellow citizens, and fighting to preserve it (and them) would be monumentally foolish. He would far sooner take up arms to destroy Washington than defend it. I didn’t feel that way when I was a kid, but I do now. In fact, in my darker moments I think that the sooner we rip off the Band-Aid and get down to the dirty business towards which the shades of our ancestors are urging us, the more likely we are to preserve some shred of our freedom and national identity.

So much for patriotism.

As for religion, my relationship with my Creator is important to me, but I am one of those weak souls who has tired of “turning the other cheek” and “rendering unto Caesar.” When I go to the church I grew up in, the purple haired lesbian pastor can’t talk of anything except how evil my ancestors were, and how we must all surrender our guns to benevolent Big Brother, and eat bugs and live in teepees to save Gaia. If clinging to the faith my forefathers bequeathed me means I must tolerate enslavement by these enemy aliens, I think they would forgive me for shuffling it off and taking some very un-Christian actions to defend myself and my family.

So much for religion.

Do you remember December 1989 in Romania, and that day when the dictator of one of the most repressive and odious police states on the planet was giving a public speech to his sullen subjects, and someone at the back of the crowd bravely jeered him? The crowd’s mood shifted like a flock of starlings in flight. It spread like wildfire, and two weeks later the country had won its freedom and many of its tormenters had been put against a brick wall and machine-gunned into hamburger — including that same dictator and his equally cruel wife.

I foresee a day when a similar but far greater “Preference Cascade” will spontaneously take place in this country, and the world will change forever. Not sure if I will live long enough to see it, but my son will. I think he’s ready for it. I think he welcomes it.

In the words of Dryden, “Beware the fury of a patient man.”

This is why the left is so opposed to assimilation. From 1920 to Teddy Kennedy we had little immigration so the people here could and would assimilate.
