I can hear the left’s brains exploding. You know they wanted Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to love this bill.
It didn’t help that DeSantis waited over a week to address Republican State Senator Jason Brodeur’s bill requiring compensated bloggers who write about the Florida government to register with the state. He claimed it would stop “disinformation.”
“Every person in the legislature can file bills,” said DeSantis. “I see these people filing bills and there are these articles with my face on the article, ‘bloggers are going to have to register with the state,’ attributing to me.”
DeSantis claimed making compensated bloggers register with the state is “not anything I’ve ever supported, I don’t support. I’ve been very clear on what we are doing.”
