I think Don Lemon wants CNN to fire him since he was demoted to the morning show from a primetime slot. I also think he’s misogynistic, and I don’t throw around that word as others do.
Lemon’s remark on Republican Nikki Haley, who announced her candidacy for the 2024 presidential election, is one of the many misogynistic things he has said in recent weeks.
Apparently, Nikki Haley is “past her prime” as a woman at the age of 51, so she better not bash others about their ages. She wants a competency test for politicians 75 and up.
Did Lemon support old woman Hillary Clinton in 2016?
You know, like 80-year-old Joe Biden and 76-year-old Donald Trump. I can’t blame her, considering Biden is not, um, yeah.
Lemon: This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable. I think it’s the wrong road to go down. She says people, you know, politicians are suddenly not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime. Sorry, When a woman is in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s…Poppy Harlow: What are you talking — Wait…Lemon: That’s not according to me.Harlow: Prime for what?Lemon: It depends. It’s just like, prime. If you look it up. If you Google when is a woman in her prime, it’ll say 20s, 30s, 40s.Harlow: Forties! Oh my god, I have another decade.Lemon: I’m not saying I agree with that. So I think she has to be careful about saying that, you know, politicians are in their prime.Harlow: Are you talking about prime for, like, childbearing? Or are you talking about prime for being president?Lemon: Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just saying what the facts are. Google it. Everybody at home, when is a woman in her prime? It says 20s, 30s and 40s. I’m just saying Nikki Haley should careful about saying that politics are not in their prime, and they need to be in their prime when they serve. She would not be in her prime according to Google or whatever it is.
In September, Lemon asked S.E. Cupp if she had Mommy Brain because she forgot what she wanted to say:
“The numbers don’t add up,” Cupp said of Republicans.“What do you mean?” Lemon asked.“The ideas [currently being touted by Republican politicians] are not popular among Republicans. Thirteen percent of Republicans want a total ban on abortion. Seventy percent of Republicans want — sorry,” Cupp said, not finishing the statistic. Lemon jumped in to suggest she was referring to Republicans who approve of some abortion restrictions.“No, no, I was going on a different issue … I mean, a majority of —” Cupp said.“Did you lose your train of thought? I do it all the time,” Lemon responded.Cupp continued her thought by expanding on her claim that the majority of Republicans do not support more extreme positions like abortion and book bans.“A majority of Republicans oppose book bans. A majority of Republicans think that talking about race and learning about racism in school is a good thing. Majorities of Republicans are not where today’s MAGA Republicans are going and all the things they keep talking about, which begs the question: what the hell are they thinking?” she said.Lemon chose not to respond to this thought, but to rather keep harping on Cupp fumbling a statistic.“Is it fair to say this because I’m not a mommy, but is it mommy brain?” he asked his guest.Cupp appeared to be taken aback by the remark, resulting in a brief moment of awkward silence.“No, Don, I just forgot what I was going to say,” she said.“I forget what I’m talking about all the time,” Lemon said, soon breaking into laughter.
Pregnancy and Mommy Brain is real but for the love of everything in the world you do not do this, especially on national TV. Jokingly with my best friends and Mother, but anyone else? NOPE!
Sources told The New York Post that Lemon went ballistic on co-host Kaitlan Collins after the December 8 show because she interrupted him.
That’s the first weirdness between Lemon and Collins. On February 7, Lemon waved off a commercial break after Collins interviewed new Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer. Lemon went on his soapbox over Comer’s comments. Co-host Poppi Harlow pointed out that Collins fact-checked Comer “real time.” Lemon didn’t care and only gave Collins praise quickly in a sentence that demeaned Comer.
On December 1, Lemon said men’s sports are “more interesting to watch” than women’s sports. (I mean, he’s not wrong here, but tone matters.)
