#TwitterFiles Part Six: “Twitter’s contact with the FBI was constant and pervasive, as if it were a subsidiary”
FBI flagged even satire tweets: “The takeaway: what most people think of as the “deep state” is really a tangled collaboration of state agencies, private contractors, and (sometimes state-funded) NGOs.”
The Twitter Files may well be the biggest test of the idea that sunlight is a disinfectant.
As we’ve seen so far, the leftist ideologues at Old Twitter were ruthless in their targeting of accounts that didn’t toe their ideological line. Wrong think was not only discouraged but actively suppressed.
Left-wing journalist Matt Taibbi has released the latest installment of the #TwitterFiles, and these reveal the direct involvement in censorship of and, arguably, interference with an election, by a thoroughly corrupt and politicized FBI.
Below are some of the more astounding revelations, but read the entire thread here (archive link).
3. Twitter’s contact with the FBI was constant and pervasive, as if it were a subsidiary.
— Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) December 16, 2022
7. The FBI’s social media-focused task force, known as FTIF, created in the wake of the 2016 election, swelled to 80 agents and corresponded with Twitter to identify alleged foreign influence and election tampering of all kinds.
— Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) December 16, 2022
This release of the Twitter Files definitively shows the federal government’s involvement in conspiring in the, arguably, unconstitutional silencing of Americans on social media platforms. Executive branch involvement raises the Constitutional flag.
Ultimately, always remember: in the world the radical left is creating, there are no God-given rights, no God exists. No family. No nation. The new “god” is the central government that functions as both divinity and family. We’ve seen it all before, of course, and we dismissed this worldview as obsolete, but it’s here now.
How corrupt and dangerous is the FBI? Shockingly, horrifyingly so.
“HELLO TWITTER CONTACTS”: The master-canine quality of the FBI’s relationship to Twitter comes through in this November 2022 email, in which “FBI San Francisco is notifying you” it wants action on four accounts: pic.twitter.com/LjgB6fxENo

The corruption in the FBI’s plot to attack normal Americans and bolster all who seek to destroy our country and its people runs deep.

Weekly meetings between the Twitter PTB and the Biden executive branch? That’s not good.
26. This passage underscores the unique one-big-happy-family vibe between Twitter and the FBI. With what other firm would the FBI blithely agree to “no impediments” to classified information?
— Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) December 16, 2022
Ultimately, the core findings here are damning in that the federal government not only pressured Twitter but was in an active—at least weekly—campaign to control Americans’ access to truthful information.
44.The takeaway: what most people think of as the “deep state” is really a tangled collaboration of state agencies, private contractors, and (sometimes state-funded) NGOs. The lines become so blurred as to be meaningless.
— Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) December 16, 2022
The very (and basic) definition of fascism is the government controlling supposedly private entities to enact the ruling party’s will.
35.FBI in one case sent over so many “possible violative content” reports, Twitter personnel congratulated each other in Slack for the “monumental undertaking” of reviewing them: pic.twitter.com/rt5WzhfCga

— Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) December 16, 2022
25.The Twitter exec writes she explicitly asked if there were “impediments” to the sharing of classified information “with industry.” The answer? “FBI was adamant no impediments to sharing exist.”
— Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) December 16, 2022
FBI scrutiny of Twitter accounts was so outlandish that even Old Twitter employees were baffled.
22.When told of the FBI flagging, @Lexitollah replied: “My thoughts initially include 1. Seems like prima facie 1A violation 2. Holy cow, me, an account with the reach of an amoeba 3. What else are they looking at?”

Let’s see some ‘public servants’ get prison time. Let’s see some people fired and have their pensions revoked. Nothing short of that will stop this insidious behavior.
Agree.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd it won’t happen.
Who are you kidding. Nothing will come of this. We might here some of the usual republican howls of outrage but since they don’t have the balls to actually do anything that will be about all that happens. Howls of outrage. And then the whole sordid thing will be memory holed never to be mentioned again by anyone. But thinking anyone will be held accountable is just nonsense. democrats are never held accountable for their actions. They are never charged with violations of the law. And democrats know it, Which is why they pull these illegal shenanigans over and over again. Nobody will do anything. Nobody cares. The Republic is dead, long live the Republic!

Mar-A-Lago.
No, wait.
The FBI and CIA mantra adopted by progressives everywhere:
1) Admit nothing
2) Deny everything
4) Make counter accusations
The FBI dovetailed to Twitter and sharing classified information. Involved in banning speech. Biden, the democrat party and Twitter execs operating a ministry of truth shadow agency.
Very fascist, baby!
Very ChiCom. Fakebook et al, not only help the ChiComs repress their population, they are applying what they learn to ours for the Biden regime and the deep state.
All in the name of ‘security” when it is really about control.
“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” -Ben Franklin
Eff Bee Eye is strong arm of the Deep State
What’s changed over the past two hundred years? The name of our country is now the United States of the FBI
Ve are chust followink orders!!
Think what else is likely true of the people who did this.
Yes. The word “conspiracy,” at least as uttered from the left, has worn pretty thin.
The disconnect here is that the folks who did this view it entirely different than we do. They would (and have) described the actions as a public/private partnership. To them their actions were a noble and virtuous endeavor designed to protect us from ourselves. They argue that their actions were necessary because individual Citizens might post dissenting views and that, not the accuracy of the views in the post, was the real danger.
We wouldn’t describe it that way at all. At root this was the voluntary collaborative action between members of the ruling class. One group of tech elites implemented the designs of another group of elites from govt. Both groups hold the same basic worldview. Both are part of the infrastructure of regime.
What they did here seems totalitarian. It seems that way because that’s exactly what it was. Loyal members of the regime acting to protect the interests of the regime’s hierarchy by squashing the free expression of dissenting views. They censored and suppressed individual posts and suspended or banned the people who posted them.
Yes, this is totalitarian. Sadly, a significant fraction of the population probably think this is necessary to keep them safe.
Most people will insist on receiving the mark of the Beast.
Zealots always believe that they are the arbiters of morality. Ideological puritans. Believers. With few exceptions, nothing breaks through their shield of righteousness in The Cause.
“Useful idiots,” you mean.
You know what I also *don’t* see here? Any indication that Trump knew of this scheme or *used* this scheme to manipulate Twitter. I mean the head of the Executive branch, who is supposed to be in *charge* of the FBI, did not seem to know about this particular aspect of their information manipulation program. Of course one bright light is that I don’t see either the Obama or Biden administration’s thumbprints all over this either, but in hindsight, they didn’t need to because the FBI was carrying their water without any commands needed.
(That sound you hear is hundreds of Executive office parasites crying out, “Why didn’t somebody tell us we could do this!” while a much smaller number are quietly shredding documents, wiping email accounts, and preparing their resignations for other jobs where they can claim amnesia and continue their Good Works for the Narrative.)
Yeah. There won’t be an illuminated, golden document, with text proclaiming “WE DID IT.” The dopes at the FBI were careless and arrogant when texting on goverment devices.
Trump was tipped off about FBI surveillance at Trump Tower. So, they never got any dirt on him and simply fabricated “evidence.”.
The regime isn’t necessarily about the politicians. Instead it’s the ideology of those who exert influence over the creation of policies from outside govt and implemented by allies within govt of all branches. From SR ‘non political’ Executive branch folks to Congressional Staff with help from a judiciary enjoying lifetime appointments.
In many ways it’s a simple grift and gravy train. That’s how they advance and maintain power and influence over our govt. Subverting a SR govt official at the X federal agency doesn’t begin on the day he gets promoted.
Academia shapes him, media and entertainment sectors weigh on the culture to shape them. The influence of their mentors and the organizational culture of the agency they serve within shapes and molds them. The person rises through the ranks, hits the 25 year mark and at 47 or so jumps over to a more lucrative private sector job. They trade expertise and more importantly contacts within their old agency for money.
For some a decade later they get a political appointment into the top dozen or positions of the agency. These folks marry each other, their kids go to school together, they go to the same parties and live in the same neighborhoods. It’s a closed loop system nearly impervious to change without breaking the system. Reform isn’t possible, it will take disruption and rebuilding from the top down and bottom up.
So, grooming and/or brainwashing.
Observant parents are key to offsetting the K-12 ideological grooming. That was an unintended consequence of the Covid “pandemic.” Much parental complacency was offset when parents actually got to see what their kids were being “taught.”
Maleducation is the root of the problem.
It is also very illegal and the government cannot use a private entity third party to do what they cannot do that is also illegal
The McLosers will save us. (McConnell, McDaniels, McCarthy)
Not true. The government uses foreign governments on foreign soil to torture prisoners. Happens quite a bit.
And back when it was still illegal for the NSA to spy on US citizens, they got around that by having the UK and Australia do it for them, while the NSA spied on the UK and Australians for them.
Spying by proxy?
The government can’t use a third party to violate someone’s rights, but that’s not what happened here. Nobody has a right to use Twitter’s services, if Twitter doesn’t want to let them. All the FBI did here was ask Twitter to please deny its services to certain people or certain messages, and Twitter voluntarily did so. That doesn’t violate anyone’s rights, so it’s legal. Stinks to high heaven, but it’s legal.
And THAT, my fellow patriot, is EXACTLY WHY we as a nation should have summarily forbidden lawyers from becoming legislators at any level!!! They know EXACTLY HOW to TOTALLY SUBVERT THE CONSTITUTION and get the forbidden result without violating specific verbiage or procedure!!! Our courts are just sorry and spineless enough to care more about verbiage and procedure than net results!!!
The tyrannical hold these scum-sucking traitors have on this nation IN BOTH PARTIES will NEVER BE BROKEN BY RATIONAL CONVERSATION OR METHODS. The Republicans are just as sorry as Democrats because they only offer CONTROLLED RESISTANCE!! THEY ONLY PUT ON A SHOW FOR THOSE STUPID ENOUGH TO FALL FOR IT AND THEN SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING! Every one of these gutter trash are in public office for two reasons: PERSONAL WEALTH AND PERSONAL POWER!!!!! Both parties are wings of the same vile, evil, corrupt, two-faced, lying bird called THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!!!
OK, like many enterprises, it is a complex interrelationship.
We are ruled by, for lack of a better term, a Deep State which is led [at least publicly] by the Democrats, with Republican collaboration and subservience.
The FBI is a subsidiary and agent of the Democrat Party.
Twitter, pre-Musk, was a wholly owned subsidiary of the FBI, along with most American media.
Now, it apparently is not. I rather expect there will be efforts by the FBI to bring them back under control.
Subotai Bahadur
“We are ruled by, for lack of a better term, a Deep State”
Once more, Tucker’s source:
“Did the CIA have a hand in the murder of JFK?”
“The answer is yes. I believe they were involved.
It’s a whole different country from what we thought it was. It’s all fake.”
Chris Wray is a silver spoon guy; not a woke Silicon Valley hipster new money guy. Why is he presiding over this? Why is the most genuinely and utterly corrupt president in history being so solidly protected? We have no idea of the true reality of how the system works. All of our comments are so much sound and fury. Shut up or rise up in anger. Reason has no place here.
Monday is D-Day for the J-6 committee.

Someone described twitter as an FBI field office. Nothing will happen.
And, as we learned from the Perkins Coie office manager, the FBI itself is a DNC field office.
The Democrat/RINO rage and fury at the unexpected coronation of Donald Trump upsetting their scheduled plans for the USA becomes more and more explicable as more of these “conspiracy theory” collusions are exposed as factual.
As does Hillary’s incandescent ejaculation that “If that f*ing bastard wins, we all hang from nooses!”
Time to get out the hemp. After all, it’s 4:20 somewhere.
Is there any evidence for that claim? Any at all?
MSM: *crickets*
I am very shocked there wasn’t even ONE whistleblower at Twitter or FBI who exposed this blatantly illegal behavior to some media outlet such as NYP or WT long ago.
It may have something to do with the framed portraits of Seth Rich mounted opposite every elevator doorway.
Why are email addresses being redacted? Exactly who is on these email chains is important evidence.
It’s not like they’ve been lost. The place to dox them is in a courtroom or hearing chamber, not on the general Twitter feed.
There’s a saying that goes along like this and I don’t remember the exact phrasing.
“just because you think I’m a conspiracy theorist doesn’t mean I’m wrong”
Matt Taibbi and the willingness of Elon to peel the layers of the onion has shown us just how far government will go beyond the spying days of the NSA to control the public.
Waiting with baited breath on the COVID files so once again, I can be proven correct when I was viewed as a ‘science’ denier.
“Waiting with baited breath on the COVID files so once again,…”
I batted 11 / 12 on my bio-based calls in March / April of year 1 of the ‘rona. Something like 6 / 6 for interventions and mitigations. And about 10 / 10 on noting shenanigans and machinations.
It ain’t that I’m smart; it’s that this was all obvious.
I wonder what happens from this in second-loop learning. First loop is steering within yr understanding of how stuff works. Like turning the wheel to point where you want to go. Second loop is noticing that turning left, points right — a tiller, or slip-slidin around it does nothing — like in the snow.
Tea Party 1.0 thought he world worked a particular way: Go protest; state your case; political system responds. Vote people in, and what you voted them in to do happens. Tea Party 1.0 operated as if they represent us within a big machine that works as advertised to govern ourselves for our own advantage
Turns out not so much, on all counts.
— So, we learn that it’s an involved system of self-dealing; like the machinations of access in latter-day established companies. The game it to get in, and feed off the salmon run somebody else made. It’s an emergent conspiracy of “We got it good; don’t make waves.”
— And, we learn that it’s an encompassing system, without opposition from the designated loyal opposition.
— And, we learn that really it’s embedded in an inward-facing caste orchestrating operations, and access for their own advantage.
— And we learn that there doesn’t have to be a plan. Ad hoc self-interest coordinates they just fine.
— And they say what’s convenient; promote what’s helpful; silence what’s disruptive.
— And they ain’t you — you are (deplorable, perhaps irredeemable) livestock, while they’re in charge.
So, NAFTA (in fact, not as advertised), Tea Party, Mid-East adventurism (plus DHS, internal surveillance, etc.), The Affordable Care Act which resulted in what nationalized bureaucratization always does, housing collapse (1.0, it seems), ‘Rona And The Spasms — sounds like a self-conscious fringe art-punk band, “We’re short an active war — how about Ukraine?”, and the list goes on.
It’s the same lesson with each of these. I wonder if enough of us will realize that the world doesn’t quite operate the way we’ve been thinking, and we need to steer differently to get what we want (and need).(*)
(*) Footnote from previous comment, for the tweeps, activists, feebs, operatives, and smear-merchants — but, I repeat myself.
“…steer differently to get what we want (and need).” — this is not (not, not, not, see, it ain’t there) a call for violence, insurrection, or even protest, “mostly peaceful” or otherwise. See, I can say those words *if* that’s what I mean. I ain’t saying any of that.
“…steer differently to get what we want (and need).”
We need to steer the system understanding how it works, what’s embedded in it, and what it’s embedded in. They aren’t your friends — they’ll do what pays off for them. They have no scruples. They’ll say, and even come to believe, literally anything it it’s convenient.
Conveniently, the politicians, operatives, bureaucrats and their clients — but, I repeat myself, are easily influenced. The fact is, our influence is enough.
All we have to do is play the game we’re actually in.
While keeping in mind that the steering wheel they hand you is every bit as effective as it is on the tracked carnival rides for three-year-olds.
Well, yeah. Steer differently. (And that’s not a call for violence or insurrection either.)
Or like driver’s ed, where the instructor gives you some control, but is always the one really in control…
Everyone on the right knew this was going on, those on the left either never heard of it or agreed with it.
Nothing will happen to anyone. The unaccountable deep state marches America onward towards Fascism.
Great job, Ms. Slippers!
Let’s face it folks. Perhaps a few low level FBI functionaries will be fired, the FBI will promise to “Do Better”, and then the whole thing will be memory holed never to be heard of again. That’s it. No high-level democrat leadership will be held accountable. democrats are never held responsible for their actions and the current crop of republicans in office are all talk and no action. So please don’t expect any great things to happen because of this Twitter email dump. Nothing will come of it.
Can we at least have a “blue ribbon commission” or two?
So, what comes of this? People going to jail — probably not, as many have noted. BUT, getting the info out is battle-space prep. Less people believe the BS. Every claim, operation, smear, breathless astonishment, or “more in sadness than anger” gets 10% harder to sell; 10% less effective if they sell it.
In The Really Real World, there is no single-event grand awakening that changes everything. In The Really Real World a couple percent at a time can add up to greater changes than even the imagined revelation.
Nobody believes congress. Nobody believes the agencies. Nobody believes the Presidency. Nobody believes the Judiciary. Nobody believes the press — you get mocked simply calling them “journalists” any more. Nobody believes academia, their research or “studies.” Nobody believes any pan-national group, NGO, or whatever. Everybody knows Klaus Schwab looks, sounds, and acts like a Bond villain except too cartoon-y to put in a movie.
It’s like Hemingway said about going broke: “Slowly, then all at once.”
Ha ha! Tucker referred to exactly this quote in his interview with Tulsi, to describe his own red-pilling away from the Beltway milieu he grew up in.
