Previous Reporting

Her Majesty the Queen is under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle in Scotland after doctors expressed concern for her health.

Queen Elizabeth II is 96 years old. Buckingham Palace doesn’t usually address her health unless it’s something significant.

Even then, the updates are short:

Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.

The royal family, minus Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has rushed to be at The Queen’s side. The Duchess is staying in Windsor because her three children had their first day of school.

Harry, who planned to attend the WellChild Awards in London, chose to travel to Balmoral at the last minute. Meghan is staying in London.

Health Issues

The Queen has suffered health issues since her beloved Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, passed away.

The latest concern came two days ago when The Queen met new Prime Minister Liz Truss. First, it was the first time she had appointed a prime minister in Scotland. Supposedly she wasn’t well enough to travel back to London to perform the small ceremony. Second, people noticed her blue and purple hands.

The Queen has suffered from mobility issues for almost a year, using a walking stick.

Covid struck The Queen in February, giving her mild flu-like symptoms.

Prince Charles attended the State Opening of Parliament in May after The Queen had to pull out.

The Queen missed the Royal Ascot in June, the first time in her 70-year reign.

She managed to participate in many Platinum Jubilee events but missed out on a few due to “discomfort.”
