Following the FBI raid of Donald Trump’s Florida home, some people on the left have decided that the word “raid” is too harsh and makes them sound like the authoritarians they are, so they want to change it.

Changing language to change the perception of reality is something the left is doing with increasing regularity. They just did it with “recession.”

MSNBC host and former Kamala Harris staffer Symone Sanders was one of the early adopters here.

Kamala Harris aide-turned-MSNBC host pleads: Don’t call FBI Mar-a-Lago search ‘a raid’

Former Kamala Harris aide Symone Sanders, now an MSNBC weekend host, pleaded with people to stop calling the FBI search of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence a “raid” on Tuesday.

“Please folks stop calling it a ‘raid,’” she tweeted, later responding to critics in amusement.

Those words may have been directed at her fellow MSNBC hosts and producers, who used the “raid” language on the air often Monday evening.

“The FBI raided Donald Trump’s Florida home today on the 48th anniversary, today is the 48th anniversary of the day that Republican president Richard Nixon announced that he was resigning the presidency,” anchor Lawrence O’Donnell said Monday.

Even former Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo raised eyebrows on Twitter when he called on the Justice Department to justify the “raid” or else jeopardize other investigations like the one into the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

MSNBC seemed to change tacks on Tuesday, with more hosts and reporters quoting Trump’s “raid” language but mostly describing it as a search instead.

“Already the former president has called it a raid. And the veteran FBI officials telling us it’s more of a simple search, which is something they do routinely,” reporter Kerry Sanders said on Tuesday.

President Biden sent thirty armed gunmen to Donald J Trump’s home, waving what they claimed was a search warrant, but saying the affidavit was not available because it is under seal, and refused to have copies made. They spent a solid day ransacking the bedroom and breaking into every safe they could find, taking various items including boxes of documents, without leaving an inventory or establishing a chain of custody.

That is an illegal search and seizure. Also, harassment.

    Is it legal to NOT show the warrant? Not a lawyer, but to my lay-person understanding, a warrant being served means that the suspect being searched has a right to see the warrant.

      Reportedly, they waved the warrant from 10 feet away and kicked Trump’s lawyers off the property so they could read/question it.

          Why would you do that? So the lawyers can’t compare the warrant presented to them at the property to any warrant presented as evidence at trial.

      I work (in IT) for a law firm that focuses on Corporate law. There *is* such a thing as a sealed warrant. They can be redacted up the wazoo. And, no, I have absolutely no idea how to get one unsealed.

      I have never heard of one (which doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist) that allowed officersagent to crack open safes without at the least asking the owner or owner representative to open it.

Here’s a handy guide to feel if it’s a raid;
Did the folks entering request and receive permission to enter from the owner/occupants?
Did the number of folks entering exceed the the number of owner/occupants present?
If the owner/occupants had simply said ‘please exit the property’ would the folks who entered have done so?

If the answer to any of those is no then its a raid. An armed group who demands entry and refuses to be deterred by owner/occupants requests or protest is a raid.

What is not a raid? A couple of cops (two in a single car, no lights/siren) who during business hours (9-5) politely knock, speak to the owner/occupants in a calm and respectful manner, request permission and immediately abide requests they exit while fully answering any questions asked of them.

          I wouldn’t have thought the joke needed so much explanation.
          If changing the symbology (map) positively altered the reality (terrain), as Marxists insist it does, then they should have no problem surviving in Death Valley with maps of lake country MN.
          The Sharpies are for fine adjustment of the maps, since Democrats can always find something offensive that none of them thought was offensive 10 minutes ago.

You missed the MSNBC clip where on a live broadcast they have a leftist whining about people calling it a raid when the chyron at the bottom reads ‘FBI RAIDS TRUMP’, and they LITERALLY CHANGED IT IN THE MIDDLE OF A LIVE BROADCAST TO REMOVE THE WORD ‘RAID’.

“Raid” is too mild a word for what the FBI did at mar-a-Lago. They broke in, ransacked the place, and stole some meaningless mementos and trophies.

Every agent involved in this plundering needs to be jailed with the general population of rapists and murderers, punctuated by 6 month stints in solitary confinement in pitch dark.

I’m speculating that they were looking for evidence of crimes other than the Records Act–either January 6, or the wrongdoing of the FBI–and that when we actually see the warrant and the affidavits supporting the request, we’ll see they were falsified, ala the FISA court, or puffed to the point they false.

This is how cult’s operate. I’ve written before that the purpose of lockdowns wasn’t remotely related to public health. It was about control. Specifically mind control (brainwashing) as it’s popularly known, but among professionals as coercive persuasion; using force to change how someone thinks and feels. Controlling someone’s environment, social interactions, and access to information is the first step. David Ismay, Massachusetts “Climate Change Czar. He was fired for showing the government’s hand. Kamala Harris also revealed an important aspect when she joked with her sister that prisoners have to beg guards for food and water. Creating a sense of existential dependence weakens people’s will to resist coercion.

Health care is a human right. That’s why we need socialized health care, we are told by the socialists. Who then turn around and attack “anti-vaxxers” (as if they or I are opposed to vaccines in general, as opposed to this particular experimental mRNA jab which is clearly not a vaccine at all, but then they redefined the word vaccine as well). So, if you don’t comply with the government edict to put what may well be poison into your body then you must be denied all medical care.

See how this works? Just wait until they make food and housing a similar “right.”

These people know exactly what they’re doing. The Biden administration is exactly like the Xi regime. And why wouldn’t they be, they’re on the payroll (as is Pelosi and numerous others; no one who isn’t would claim communist China is one of the freest countries on earth). Xi is sticking to his “zero Covid” policy out of any public health concern. He’s destroying the growing numbers of private sector rivals to the CCP to act independently.

It’s amusing that people are now documenting the harm that lockdowns have done to children, as if that was an “unforeseen” consequence and not entirely predictable and desirable consequence. Children have had their development retarded to the point that many will have their IQs reduced by as much as 20 points, they are experiencing emotional and mental health problems, and since they’ve been locked down for 2 years (recall how even playgrounds were padlocked) they are physically weaker as well.

Less intelligent, emotionally, mentally, and physically damaged people are easier to coerce.

I won’t go into much detail regarding the emotional techniques as they are primarily aimed at children. Government schools being cult indoctrination centers practice the same techniques as all cults. First, love bombing. Children are conditioned to desire the approval of the government agents closest to them, teachers, and then when they step out of line the government agents wildly overreact. They punish the students severely and promise even more draconian punishments if the students don’t comply.

This has happened. When little girls protest that they don’t want to share their locker rooms and showers with boys who claim to be girls then they’ll be reported to the police for sexual harassment or some other sex crime. So the girls are assaulted by their teachers, the leering boys who are taking advantage of the opportunity the state deliberately provides them, and then again when they are forced to claim they didn’t see what they clearly saw.

Of course, the emotional techniques aren’t solely applied to children. Cancel culture is another technique the left uses to coerce people. We see this primarily applied to people already on the left. Recall the gay NYC hoteliers who met with Ted Cruz at their apartment when he was running for president. The backlash was immediate and vicious. The gay community, or at least the people claiming to represent the gay community, promised to put them out of business. To destroy them utterly. Which led to one of the increasingly common groveling public apologies we associate with the targets of Maoist struggle sessions. And the apology is never accepted.

The point of the emotional techniques is create people who are anxious and fearful. Anxious and fearful people who have already been mentally, emotionally, and physically weakened are even more susceptible to coercion.

Which brings us to the cognitive techniques, which is what this redefinition push is all about. Here’s a list of cognitive techniques. It isn’t exhaustive, nor do all the techniques listed have to be used to achieve the desired result; a compliant, blindly obedient population that accepts whatever their cult leaders tell them to substitute for reality from day to day, even moment to moment.

Denigration of critical thinking
-Use of deceit and lies
-Demanding submission.
-Group identity
-Controlling attention
–Control over language
-Changing the source of authority

This describes the authoritarian Democrat party to a T. In fact, the very name of the party, “Democrat,” is itself a lie since they are anything but democratic. When they talk about their precious “our democracy,” they mean rule by an oligarchy of the leadership of that party. In fact, by their manipulation of the language they deceive people into thinking into thinking they’re defending the Constitution from “insurrectionists.” When in fact they’re the insurrectionists shredding the Constitution. Read Article 4 Section 4 sometime. This is why the FBI is simply labeling anything a conservative might say and long accepted, traditional symbols of patriotism as evidence of Violent Domestic Extremism. No Democrat ever swore a true oath to the U.S. Constitution. They are replacing it with the old Soviet constitution where dissent was a criminal act.

We aren’t heading in this direction. We’re already there. And they want you to know it cite David Ismay one more time, to break your will.
