Harvard Offering Course on Implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs
“the evolving theory and practice of institutionalizing sustainable antiracist DEI systems tailored to the needs of diverse constituencies”
The idea of ‘diversity studies’ used to be a joke, but this is the real thing.
Campus Reform reports:
Harvard course focuses on implementing ‘sustainable antiracist DEI systems’
For the spring 2023 semester, Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education is offering a course titled “Walk the Talk: Institutionalizing Sustainable Anti-racist DEI Work,” which aims to teach students how to prepare for a diversity, equity, and inclusion-filled future.
“Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)-focused positions have exploded throughout corporate and public institutions and systems over the past few years, especially in U.S. higher education,” the course description claims.
Specifically, the course will focus “on the evolving theory and practice of institutionalizing sustainable antiracist DEI systems tailored to the needs of diverse constituencies.”
It will also explore the “underpinnings of marginalized lived experiences to provide an overview of the developing DEI field and application-based opportunities to effect structural change.”
The course is being taught by Ivonne García, who currently serves as Harvard University’s Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
According to her faculty website, Ms. García “has more than 20 years of experience working on structural change and DEI initiatives in higher education.”
Her personal website further breaks down more of her history in DEI, including her past experiences and publications. The latter includes papers such as “Diasporic Intersectionality” and “Transcendentalist Individualism and Feminist Colonial Poetics in Sophia Peabody’s Cuba Journal.”

The problem with DIE, and forcing it on institutions, is that it assumes that everyone is equally capable, just “held down” by the racist state.
In fact, the racist state uses race to selectively give people advantages, discriminate against non favored races and eventually lower the standards because the “favored” groups can’t keep up.
It is like me, a short overweight white guy insisting that I be allowed to play on the NBA, or that the NBA subscribe to racial proportions seen in society. Would the game get better? No. Would I be happy? No, I would be crushed by the players with height and speed. Would society be bettered? No, because they learn, like with every other institution, that racial promotion is pure racism, and does not better the institution.
Besides, the “helping hand” of the “benevolent” socialists is merely the soft bigotry of low expectations, over and over again.
Every time someone wonders if the minority person, say a doctor, is truly qualified to do some medical procedure, or was pushed through medical school on some farcical “equity” basis, that minority person, and his/her group is harmed.
Socialist “benevolence” is based on racism, which has always been a mainstay of the left.
“ It is like me, a short overweight white guy insisting that I be allowed to play on the NBA…”
How do you think I feel? 6-1 and250 but I’m not allowed to be a jockey.
You’re oppressed like me!!
Reparations!!!
From “restricted” admissions to bending over for the “oppressed” at the expense of qualified students, all in less than 100 years.
