Republican Latinas Are Scaring Democrats

The New York Times report on “far-right” Latinas like Texas Republican Mayra Flores was a fascinating glimpse into what Democrats fear, greatly.

As Rush Limbaugh liked to say, the left will always tell you who they fear.

As we’re finding out, Latinos who vote Republican are definitely on the list.

One of my tweets on this topic went viral and was read on the air on FOX News by Emily Compagno. She didn’t credit me by name but Tim Graham of NewsBusters was nice enough to capture the moment on video:

We’re going to hear more on this topic.

Nikolas Lanum reports at Fox News:

Liberal media outlets warn of White supremacy, far-right extremism among Hispanic, Black Republicans: analysisAmid a number of notable Republican victories involving minority candidates and shifting voting trends in the United States, the liberal media has sounded the alarm on a new perceived political emergence: White supremacy and far-right extremism among Black and Hispanic conservatives. On Wednesday, The New York Times published a piece headlined “The Rise of the Far-Right Latina,” referencing Mayra Flores, the first female Mexican-born member of the House, and two other Republican Latinas running for office, Monica De La Cruz and Cassy Garcia. The piece argued that Flores flipped her seat in Texas from blue to red by “shunning moderates” while “embracing the far right.”…Speaking with Fox News Digital, Media Research Center Latino Director Jorge Bonilla slammed the Times’ piece on Flores as an “ethnic disqualification piece.””We never heard about the ‘rise of the socialist Latina’ when AOC was elected because this is the left’s presumed norm. Since the Latino identity is inextricably linked to left-wing politics, the piece serves to identify the Texas Trio to the rest of the media as race traitors and therefore non-entities within the communities they aim to represent in Congress,” Bonilla said.

The liberal outlet Insider is doing its best to discredit Flores:

New GOP Rep. Mayra Flores refused four times to say whether Biden is the legitimately-elected presidentRepublican Rep. Mayra Flores repeatedly refused to say that President Joe Biden was in fact the legitimately-elected president of the United States during an interview, the New York Times reports.”He’s the worst president of the United States,” Flores, who had just been sworn-in the day before, told the Times’ Jennifer Medina. Medina writes in a story published Wednesday morning that she asked Flores the same question three more times — whether Biden won the 2020 election — and received the same non-committal reply.Flores’ reported apprehension to acknowledge the reality of the 2020 election illustrates how the GOP’s newest lawmaker is furthering the efforts of some in the party to continue to question the legitimacy of the last election. Former President Donald Trump continues to argue his baseless claim that the election was stolen, a stance that has been openly mocked by his former Attorney General Bill Barr and others.Flores has also drawn attention for her past references to the QAnon conspiracy theory and for saying Trump “should’ve locked Hillary Clinton in jail.”

The speed at which liberals in media have turned on a once reliable Democrat constituency is astonishing.

They’re trying to send a message to these voters. Turn on Democrats, and you too could be labeled a far-right conspiracy nut.
