Cal State Prof Suggests White People Shouldn’t Ask to Come to Juneteenth Cookouts

Cal State Prof Suggests White People Shouldn’t Ask to Come to Juneteenth Cookouts

“Abdullah has a history of sharing her thoughts on racial issues.”

People on the left do more to perpetuate racial division than the people they target for criticism. We see it happen again and again.

The College Fix reports:

Cal State professor: White people shouldn’t ask to come to Juneteenth cookout

White people should not ask Melina Abdullah if they can come to her Juneteenth cookout – she has already made up her mind.

“Attention white people… Please don’t ask if you can come to the cookout…” the California State University Los Angeles professor tweeted on Monday. “#Juneteenth is freedom day for Black folks. It should be #Reparations day for white folks,” the professor of Pan-African Studies told white people.

Juneteenth occurs on June 19, but it is a federal holiday on Monday, June 20. It commemorates the date, two and half years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, that Union troops in Galveston, Texas were informed that “the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free,” according to Juneteenth.com.

Congress and President Joe Biden made Juneteenth a federal holiday in 2021.

Abdullah has a history of sharing her thoughts on racial issues.

She called the trial of actor Jussie Smollett for faking hate crimes in Chicago a “white supremacist charade.” Abdullah, who advocates for an abolition of the police and prison, said in an ideal world Smollett would not have even gone to trial.

It is not a racist holiday, nor a bullshit one. It’s a legitimate day to celebrate — in Texas. Not anywhere else. It commemorates a joyous event, but one that took place only in Texas and affected only that state. Which is why it’s been a state holiday there since 1980, and rightly so. What’s bullshit is extending it to the other 49 states, which have never been affected by that event in any way, and have no reason to celebrate it.

Sorry, but I already have a “Father’s Day” commitment. Was Juneteenth invented just so that certain cultures would have something to do on that third Sunday in June?

You know, I’m also seriously considering not fasting this Ramadan.

“Juneteenth occurs on June 19, but it is a federal holiday on Monday, June 20.”

Another bullshit “holiday” that fatcats drawing federal paychecks all get off, but nobody else does. Another day of dropping by the Post Office on your way to a full day of work to pick up your mail, and the awshit moment when you find it locked..

Suddenly, diversity is not our strength anymore?
Or maybe she just enjoys attending sickly cookouts.

What makes her think I want to attend her party in the first place? I’m white. I am sure I’d be about as welcome at a Juneteenth party as a Jew at a George Lincoln Rockwell Festival.

So segregation is the best policy?

Sure. They want it, I’m fine with it. Wasn’t the demand for integration to help the black people? (Tortured SCOTUS college-admissions language to the contrary about the benefits of diversity, anyway that’s ripe to be overturned.) But they don’t want it. We can have our own cookout for Father’s Day or just for the hell of it.

I was going to ask how a racist like this rose to become a professor, then I noticed she’s a grievance studies professor at Cal State and I didn’t wonder anymore.

Then I wondered if white people frequently invited themselves to her cookouts or if this was just a “Look at Me!!” tweet trying to get attention, and I realized I’d answered my own question.

Now I’m wondering, if a white person tweeted that black people weren’t welcome at his cookout, where the prof here would be in the line calling him out as racist and demanding he be canceled. I think I’ve answered by own question again.

Maybe NOBODY has been coming to her cookouts, and she’s trying the Cartman Amusement Park Ploy.

I am sure that this humorless, racist professor of grievance studies doesn’t have a single white person begging to come to her cookout. She (presuming her gender?) probably couldn’t get normal blacks to attend, and likely makes it mandatory for her students to go.

Can whites have a “freedom day” from black racist harpies such as herself? I’ll bring the chips!

As an aside, I think in “professor of Pan-African Studies,” I have finally found a doctorate worth less than Jill Biden’s education degree.

Abdullah has a history of sharing her thoughts

Should a self-designated slave be sharing her thoughts?

Memo for Melina Abdullah: Soooo…why did you adopt a last name common among Islamic slavers?

Jeez, what an idiot.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about history.
1) On April 16, 1862, Lincoln signed a bill to provide for slaves to be freed in the District of Columbia and slave owners to be compensated. DC still celebrates this date as Emancipation Day.
2) The Emancipation Proclamation was issued on January 1, 1863. It freed the slaves in the rebel states.
3) Maryland adopted a new constitution which blocked slavery effective November 1, 1864.
4) Slavery in Missouri ended on January 11, 1865,
5) Texas ended slavery by a Union military proclamation on June 19, 1865.
6) Slavery ended in the remaining border states on December 18, 1865 by the ratification of the 13th Amendment.

Different states have traditionally celebrated the date on different calendar days. So, please don’t mischaracterize Juneteenth. It is only relevant to Texas. It does not celebrate the first date of emancipation nor the last date. It just celebrates another way that Texas is a very odd member of the United States.

Well it’s become a federal holiday, so it will have to do for all of them.

But the circumstances of the holiday are just so bizarre. It would be like celebrating the end of World War II on the date that Americans found that last holdout Japanese soldier hiding on a remote Pacific Island and told him that the war was over.

Given the amount of my tax dollars paid into another form of what might be called “reparations” since the days of LBJ, I think I have already purchased my tickets if I ever do want to attend.

Juneteenth celebrates white Republicans forcing the secessionist Democrats to free their black slaves.

I’ll be sure not to ask about the cookout I didn’t plan on attending.
