State Sec. Blinken, Others Test Positive for Covid After WH Correspondents’ Dinner

My predictions of WHCD being a superspreader event have been proven correct!

I predicted that the celebrity-packed White House Correspondents’ Dinner would be a covid superspreader event.

Did I call it, or what!

The State Department said Wednesday that Secretary of State Antony Blinken has tested positive for COVID-19 after attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and related events over the weekend.

Spokesman Ned Price said Blinken tested positive in a OPCR test on Wednesday afternoon. Price said Blinken is fully vaccinated and is experiencing only mild symptoms.

Blinken tested negative Tuesday and again earlier Wednesday morning. Blinken has not met in person with President Joe Biden for “several days” and is not considered a close contact of the president.

He met earlier Wednesday at the State Department with the Swedish foreign minister. Blinken had been scheduled to give a speech Thursday about the Biden administration’s China policy, but Price said that speech has been postponed.

Unlike Kamala Harris, one of the newly ill actually came in direct contact with Biden.

ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday after shaking President Biden’s hand and sitting next to Kim Kardashian at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Karl tested positive roughly 48 hours after the Saturday dinner. He sat next to Kardashian, 41, and one seat away from her boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, Politico reported.

“Jonathan Karl tested positive for COVID late Monday night,” a source confirmed to The Post.

“He tested negative on Saturday afternoon before the White House Correspondents Dinner by medically-supervised staff. He had no symptoms on Saturday. Jon is currently isolating and participating in contact tracing. He is fully vaccinated, boosted and tested regularly.”

…Karl, 54, shook Biden’s hand and gave an impromptu speech in the ballroom of the Washington Hilton as he accepted an award for his coverage of the Capitol riot.

The veteran journalist is ABC’s chief Washington correspondent. He is a former president of the White House Correspondents’ Association and a former City Hall reporter for The Post.

Biden, who was unmasked throughout the event, said in his own dinner remarks that “we’re here to show the country we’re getting through this pandemic.”

It gets better. After two years of covid hysteria ginned up by the American press, several journalists have also tested positive for covid. Subsequently, the posterior-covering spin has begun.

In the days since WHCD weekend, reporters and staffers from CNN, ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, Politico, and other participating news organizations have tested positive for the virus. Most notably, ABC’s Jon Karl, who shook hands with President Biden and who sat next to Kim Kardashian, has fallen ill, as Politico’s Maxwell Tani first reported.

There is no exact data to indicate precisely how many people have caught the virus from the weekend. But, anecdotally speaking, much of Tuesday afternoon seemed to consist of attendees trading text messages and emails about colleagues and friends and people they had seen who had tested positive. That’s almost certainly going to continue in the days ahead.

…In the days ahead, there will probably be stories that draw comparisons between the WHCD and Gridiron. But there is a key difference between the two events: Gridiron is a singular event, whereas the WHCD is bookended by dozens of parties held by news orgs and talent agencies. In other words, it will be difficult — impossible? — to identify specifically where the spread of Covid actually occurred.

Was it at the dinner, which required same-day testing and vaccination? Or was it at one or more of the parties? Remember, the WHCA had no oversight over the outside events. Some of the orgs that hosted them implemented strict Covid precautions, others did not. And there were many events in which people were tightly packed into small, confined areas with little ventilation…

Some people got a bit of a cold, after attending a crowded, indoor event. Dog bites man. Can we stop with the “Suoer Spreader” nonsense, already?

Let’s also finally stop another thing: every time the young person dies suddenly, comet sections get filled with it was a clock shot! It was the jab! They have absolutely no knowledge of the situation but they pull it kind of stuff out of the air. And that’s using a polite term.

I would be delighted if we could but the terms and rules were crafted by the attendees of ‘nerd prom’. They cheerfully conveyed their virtuous superiority for more than two years. They insisted that we shut down schools and businesses while the laptop class worked from home, supported by LEO, Fire, healthcare workers, grocery clerks, truckers, delivery drivers and other less worthy people. If they are willing to apologize to every person for every impact of their decisions, show contrition, accept a penance then we can forgive and move on, not before.

They deserve reciprocity for the scorn and breathless condemnation for any who opposed their tyrannical edicts. These are the same people who, collectively, didn’t bat an eye when public health officials and pompous elected officials shut down attendance for religious gatherings, worship, funerals. The same people who are still largely defending those actions. They asked for it so they get it, good and hard until we get tired of giving it to them. This minor bit of scorn is a foretaste of the inevitable result of their choices and actions.

It is a crying shame that the current circulating Omicron versions are so mild. Maybe we will get luckier next year when they have this WHCD dinner again. I can’t think of a more deserving bunch to get it good and hard.

1) Can we stop with all the testing B.S.

B) Couldn’t happen to a better group of miscreants.

3) Who cares?

Blinken, a sheep in sheep’s clothing.

Kamala only tested positive because she cheated on the test.

I’ve had it at least twice.
It’s a nuisance for most people, but let’s stop obsessing about it.
I’m sorry for people who get serious cases, but just stop already.
We never could have won WW2 with this neurotic obsession about death and dying occupying the public square as it does today.

TheOldZombie | May 5, 2022 at 9:55 am

These guys keep getting it because they keep taking booster shots and those booster shots don’t work except to weaken the immune system.

This is why the drug companies wanted to hide the data for 75 years.

I’d bet if they’d stop taking the damn boosters you’d see a drop in infection rates.

I keep telling people that Biden is the Typhoid Mary of COViD. Everyone around him gets it, but he never does.

2023 was the year when an intrepid band of researchers discovered the hidden truth: that COVID is essentially a food-borne disease, transmitted to the masses inside cheap Chinese produce, but with especially virulent strains present in caviar, avocado toast, and petit fours. Furthermore, the virus is catalyzed by Dom Perignon.

Spokesman Ned Price said Blinken tested positive in a OPCR test

Which is meaningless. PCR tests have somewhere between a 55% and 93% false positive rate, depending on the number of cycles, and can’t distinguish among coronavirii. Test numbers are meaningless.

But, but, but all of these douche bags said that The Jab was going to save us from getting the Kung Flu? Hmmm, something just isn’t adding up now, is it?

Who cares if they got a virus so mild that you need a test to know you have it?
