Gas Hits $6 a Gallon in California, Might Go Even Higher in Washington State

The national average price of a gallon of gas is now over $4.50. In blue California, it has crept up to a stunning $6 a gallon. Of all of Biden’s failures, this is the one that could truly doom his presidency.

It’s a problem that touches everyone, regardless of their background or political beliefs.

Louis Casiano reports at FOX Business:

California sees record gas prices; state has done ‘everything you could do to make prices go up,’ expert saysCalifornia gas prices continue to climb as the statewide average price per gallon reached $6.06 Monday.Nationally, the price of gas hit $4.59 per gallon, according to AAA. The record-highs come as inflation continues to rise and the demand and cost for oil increases. The statewide average a year ago was $4.16 for regular unleaded gas.The average price for a gallon of gasoline in the Los Angeles area was $6.09, compared to $6.32 in San Francisco.Phil Flynn, a senior energy analyst at The PRICE Futures Group and Fox Business contributor, said prices may top out around the Memorial Day weekend, a time when millions of Americans are expected to take road trips.”Alot of times when we anticipate a tight market and increase in demand, once we hit that demand, we pull off,” he said. “If I were looking for a top on prices, I would predict it would be right around the Memorial Day weekend and then I think prices will cool down.”

Here’s a video report from KTLA News:

A little further north in Washington State, things could get even worse.

The New York Post recently reported:

Washington state gas stations run out of fuel, prep for $10 a gallonGas stations in Washington state are resetting their price boards to accommodate double digits in preparation for fuel prices potentially reaching $10 a gallon, according to a report. The move comes as several gas stations in the Evergreen State ran out of fuel, the Post Millennial reported. At the 76 gas station in Auburn, about 30 miles south of Seattle, gas pumps were reprogrammed so the display could indicate a price of at least $10 a gallon. The displays were limited to single digits as recently as March, but the surging price of gas has led to the change.A 76 spokesperson told the Post Millennial that the change did not necessarily mean the company was predicting gas prices would reach $10 a gallon.

Joe Biden has claimed that he is working to bring gas prices down, but it’s hard to believe him when he and members of his cabinet keep saying that this is basically a tough “transition” away from fossil fuels:

The pain looks intentional.

Whatever the case, it’s certainly not sustainable.
