NYC Students Under Five Will Still Have to Wear a Mask in School
A City Hall official admitted that even if the city gets rid of the school mask mandate the youngest kids will still have to wear one since they can’t get vaccinated.
The insanity will never end, especially in Democratic states and cities.
The Gothamist reported that a New York City Hall Official confirmed students under the age of five will still need to wear a mask at school.
Children five and under cannot receive a COVID vaccine.
NYC Mayor Eric Adams will decide to lift the mandate on Friday. If he chooses to do so then it will go into effect on Monday:
New York City students who are under the age of five will need to continue wearing masks in class, even if the school mask mandate is lifted by Mayor Eric Adams next week, as those kids are not currently eligible for COVID vaccines, a City Hall official said Thursday.
The Department of Education will continue to offer masks on campuses for students, teachers and staff, said Amaris Cockfield, a spokesperson for the mayor. It was not immediately clear if unvaccinated students over the age of five will be required to wear masks at school.
Comptroller Brad Lander and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams asked City Hall to require the COVID vaccine next year and offer students opt-in masked classes:
“It makes pretty clear sense that for next fall, COVID vaccination should be required, just like meningitis vaccination is required,” Lander told Gothamist. “If we knew that now, that would help us have confidence vaccination rates will go up in places where they’re really low, and we would be taking the steps necessary to keep people safe.”
Williams said “all the science says that it’s beneficial, that it is helpful,” and added there would be the same medical exemptions as available for other required vaccinations.
“We want to make sure that there are legitimate exemption options, but I think it should be treated like any other vaccination that is already mandated,” Williams told Gothamist.
Well, I hope they demand the city require flu shots in schools, too.

The difference is that the meningitis vaccine actually helps prevent meningitis from spreading. The Wuhan vaccine doesn’t do that.

Jury’s out on that. Piss them off enough and they will rebel when they get older. And most kids gets pissed off enough about something to do a 180° from their parents on one or more issues.
Or, they don’t get “pissed off” as much as discovering the real world. I grew up in the stanch rock ribbed Democrat household. Yet by the time I was 25 I was aiming toward Libertarianism, and then eventually settled into the right of Centerview point that I have today. I am not in any political party, nor will I be. I don’t think they should even exist in the first place.

It seems like this is really about creating a 100% vaccinated population. In such a population it is impossible to determine if big spikes in heart disease, autoimmune disease, and so forth are caused by the vaccines because the control group has been eliminated.
Keep the kiddo’s home, homeschool them without the concern of indoctrination or moronic school board fear-mongering. Cut the district off at the knees. Then figure a way to stop paying school taxes.
This is the one group who are the most sheltered within their family and least exposed to external environments. These actions to mask this age group is criminal and straight out of a chapter of the Holocaust where children were used for experimental trials and is just cruel. These are just babies who are having the window closed on the the most promising time of learning. .
