Moderate Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin announced he will vote to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to SCOTUS.
“After meeting with her, considering her record, and closely monitoring her testimony and questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week, I have determined I intend to vote for her nomination to serve on the Supreme Court,” wrote Manchin.
We don’t know how moderate Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema will vote.
I doubt it goes to a tiebreak, which could cause chaos because it’s not clear if the Vice President can cast a tiebreak for a SCOTUS nominee.
I bet the usual Republican suspects vote for her: Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins.
