Ottawa Police Start Clearing Freedom Convoy, Arrested 70 So Far
The Ottawa police also declared war on the free press.
Here comes the iron fist.
Arrests
The Ottawa police have arrested 70 people so far connected with the Freedom Convoy. Some of the organizers face charges:
Police in Ottawa have filed charges against two organizers of the Freedom Convoy — Tamara Lich and Chris Barber — following their arrests yesterday, according to reports.
Lich, 49, of Medicine Hat, Alberta, has been charged with counseling to commit the offense of mischief, according to CTV News.
Chris Barber, 46, of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, faces charges of counseling to commit the offense of mischief, counseling to commit the offense of disobeying a court order and counseling to commit the offense of obstructing police, CTV News added, noting that both are expected to appear in court today.

The police brought in tow truck operators, who wore ski masks and placed duct tape over the company’s decals on the trucks, to remove the vehicles.
Some eyewitness video of police-escorted tow trucks heading into Ottawa. I wonder if they're working voluntarily or if they've been conscripted to do forced labour for the government, as the Emergencies Act allows. pic.twitter.com/HLIsfcUqft

Big Shots Boast About Trashing the Protest
The police boasted of their moves against this “unlawful protest” on social media. They also declared war on the media.

The increased police presence may be distressing for some.

The emergency declaration specifically says those with lawful reasons to be in the secured area are allowed to travel through it. Police are not upholding this.

Unless people turn out tomorrow in multiple thousands to protest and overwhelm continued police action then the last play left is a general trucking strike.
The alternative to increasing the totalitarian repression was to end the totalitarian repression.
What’s curious is the number of govt actors with faces covered and with largely or completely sanitized uniforms; without badge# and nameplates. I saw some nameplates on LEO but it wasn’t close to universal. This coupled with the blacked out tow truck names and their hidden faces, alongside that of LEO hidden faces tells us a good deal about the people conducting this operation.
Media being removed or denied free access to document these activities while the leadership spike the ball in self congratulation is very telling. As is the weak response from the opposition members of parliament. This is, IMO, an intentional escalation on the part of the govt. They have made clear they will use force v an almost entirely peaceful demonstration while invoking powers to seize financial assets and insurance of supporters and void professional licenses.
The next few days the govt has the initiative, at least until Monday when parliament is supposed to reconvene and potentially vote down the emergency powers. What comes next is not clear except that the gulf of distrust between govt and citizens has widened as a direct result of Trudeau’s mishandling of the protest movement.
Mistrust is right. There is no way to undo the damage done by government today.
I read the Monday vote has been postponed and not yet rescheduled.
Parliament has not been in session today. Nor will it be over the weekend.
They have suspended debate on the Emergencies Act.
Now you know Parliament’s position on what Trudeau’s doing. They back him but don’t want to vote yes because of the potential political backlash. My bet is that they let Trudeau do anything he wants until the automatic expiration. Trudeau will have quashed the protests by then, and the damage done likely cannot be undone (or won’t be undone, the courts will back him too).
Canadians now have NO rights. They live at the sufferance of the Almighty State. They have no ownership or control of their bodies, their efforts, or their wealth so long as the government can seize them on a whim with no due process.
Those who are smart are getting themselves, their immediate families, and their property out of Canada. Those who are smart, in any population group, is a minority.
Subotai Bahadur
The time is nigh
Those cops are out of uniform. I don’t see any swastikas on their arms and if you’re gonna act like a nazi, you may as well dress like one.
“Lich, 49, of Medicine Hat, Alberta, has been charged with counseling to commit the offense of mischief, according to CTV News.”
Mischief!
I hope they allow him to plead Shenanigans!
Now, see… if we had an operational Republican Party, it would be demanding right now that Joe Biden announce economic sanctions against Canada for denial of civil rights.
Of course nothing would happen. But it would be embarrassing to Biden (on the world stage) to be shown up yet again as a partisan, powerless, hypocritical hack.
In fact, we should find an inventive new way to do that every day.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Peoples Democratic Republic of Canada:

BTW: GoFundMe is allowing the terrorists to raise money using their platform. And no indication yet that Chairman Trudeau will declare martial law in response to these violent terrorist attacks.

No word yet on her condition.

Many observers have concluded Justin Adolf Castro is trying to provoke a violent reaction from the protesters. So he can have his J6 incident. To justify declaring himself temporary dictator and assuring a favorable vote on the EA in parliament.
I watched streaming from several sources much of the day. The only people using violence have been the police. The only people damaging private property are the police.
I went to school with kids whose parents survived the holocaust. From what they described, this is simply a repeat in the 21st-century. It’s going to get worse. Back the blue indeed!
They break down the door to that motor home and don’t enter? What was the point then, other than an extrajudicial fine (aka cost of repair)?
I think the police break into vehicles so the tow drivers don’t have to. Professional curtesy? I’m half suspicious that the tow trucks are from the US.
Stay peaceful, guys. All great civilizations were built on pure peacefulness. Being totally peaceful guarantees you success. Don’t actually fight or cause real problems because it has bad optics. Keep being peaceful while you are labeled a domestic terrorist and having your bank account frozen in winter. Keep being peaceful while the media lies about you and the sheeple keep believing them. Peace is the only way to get back your freedoms.
Time for Atlas to Shrug.

Oh thanks. Very nice..
Dick-tators gotta be dicks. Justine Turdeau may think he’s getting away with something, but the cosmic reality is that he can run like the ball-less coward he is, but he can’t hide from karma. Dick-tators never have a pleasant end.
There is strength in numbers. There should be a national truck strike. Cripple the place.
Paraphrasing from the Toronto Sun:
“Prime Minister Trudeau must answer why it was necessary to make the entrance to the Canadian parliament look like a civil war on Friday. Yes, the protesters were a nuisance, but they weren’t violent.”
“They are not ISIS out there. The truckers are Canadians with charter rights. But Trudeau’s rhetoric accelerated as if truckers were a terror cell when in fact, it is Trudeau himself putting Canada’s democracy at risk.”
I don’t link to Twits, but David Anber (the one that’s an attorney in Ottawa) linked to video today of a protester who said the police arrested him, wrote down his name, put the contents of his pockets in a bag, drove him and others for about 20 minutes, then dropped them off in front of a mall. The guy was back at the protest as soon as he could get transportation.
My guess is they have a list of people they want to keep locked up, and those they don’t care about. They’re likely holding the former, but letting go the latter.
