During Wednesday’s “The ReidOut,” MSNBC host Joy Reid argued that White conservatives were mostly behind the growing protests against school boards.
“But the real fights over education are at the K-12 level where we’ve seen conservative, mainly conservative White parents whipped into a frenzy over mask mandates, lessons on race and gender and sexuality,” Reid said.
Protests against school boards came to another head on Wednesday after San Francisco citizens successfully voted to recall three of the city’s school board members for pushing progressive politics over their children’s education.
While some have shown concern that the Democrats have a “super wokeness” problem, Reid continued to push the idea that White conservatives or White Christians were the primary drive behind school board protests.
This contrasted various notable protesters across the country including Indian-American Sira Raj, who helped initiate the original recall effort in San Francisco.
“The city of San Francisco has risen up and said this is not acceptable to put our kids last,” said Raj. “Talk is not going to educate our children, it’s action. It’s not about symbolic action, it’s not about changing the name on a school, it is about helping kids inside the school building read and learn math.”

We’re still the majority. We still actually pay for the schools.
Democrats scream “democracy, democracy, democracy” every time it suits them. But when it stops favoring them, they’re suddenly all “diversity, set-asides, reparations.”

Seems to me Joyless Reid is tacitly admitting that POC either don’t or are incapable of giving a flying fig about their kids’ education/indoctrination. I suppose if you’re a house n***** you don’t really mind living on the plantation so much.
Reid is grossly ignorant of the facts on the ground and has been pushing her narrative of all racism all the time. Reid is probably the least intelligent person who is or has been a network commentator in the annals of TV news
Joy, the averages would change if more black parents cared.
A little under 80 percent of the YES votes to recall came from areas that were primarily Asian populated. (California is good at segregation of populations.)
I am sure Joy considers Asians ‘white adjacent’ though.
Is it possible that in many school districts, most parents are white and conservative?
