SARCASM: It’s so odd I’ve only seen this covered in The Daily Mail.
No, I’m not surprised I haven’t seen this around the media because it makes Orange Man Bad look like a decent human being.
The Missouri tornado on December 10 struck the Rackley family. It killed nine-year-old Annistyn and mother Meghan just woke up from a coma.
Avalinn, 7, is in a back brace and just learning to walk again. Alana, the youngest sister, has minor injuries.
On Christmas Day, wearing matching with her father Trent, Avalinn opened boxes filled with presents from President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
“We are so encouraged by the strength and determination you have shown during this very difficult time,” they wrote. “You will remain in our hearts for complete care and comfort as you continue to recover.”
So sweet.
They continued: “With your steadfast spirit, and the unwavering strength and support of your wonderful family and many friends, your future potential is limitless.”
“May God bless you and your family,” the Trumps concluded.
Meghan’s mom Pam captured the heartwarming moment on video and posted it on Facebook. You guys, I cannot. This is one of the best things I’ve seen all year.
We would have never known about this if Pam did not post pictures or the video. The Trumps never mentioned they would do this (at least not to my knowledge) nor have they bragged.
The tornado broke Avalinn’s back, but will have to wear a back brace for a while.
Annistyn and Avalinn were best friends and still shared a room. People found the doll Annistyn had in the bathtub. Meghan’s aunt is cleaning it up so Avalinn can have it.
Meghan has severe brain trauma and fell into a coma. She woke up a few days before Christmas and said her mother’s name.
