‘Whiteness Remains Undefeated’: Liberal Media Doubles Down on Racism Claims After Virginia Upset

Last night as Glenn Youngkin closed in on his stunning victory in Virginia, people in liberal media struggled to come to terms with the reality of the situation.

In some cases, instead of accepting the truth, they doubled down on the very issues voters were rejecting.

Over at MSNBC, the election was being covered by Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, and Nicolle Wallace. Joy Reid was not handling it well.

Cortney O’Brien reports at FOX News:

MSNBC’s Joy Reid: ‘Education’ issue is ‘code’ for White parents who don’t want race taught in schoolsMSNBC’s Joy Reid called the issue of education a “code” for White parents who don’t want their children to be taught about race during her coverage of the Virginia gubernatorial election Tuesday.Citing exit polling, Reid noted that while the coronavirus factored low on the issues most important to Virginia voters this election, education ranked high. Reid used air quotes when saying the word education.”Unfortunately, race is just the most palpable tool in the tool kit, used to be in the Democratic Party back in the day, when there were Dixiecrats,” she continued. “And now of the Republican Party, it just is powerful.”

Watch:

Here’s more insanity from Reid:

Earlier in the evening, Nicolle Wallace insisted that Critical Race Theory doesn’t even exist:

There’s a tendency among some people on the left to insist that this was all about race.

They can’t accept that they were wrong. It has to be racism.

Over at CNN, Van Jones called Glenn Youngkin the Delta variant of Trumpism.

The Hill reports:

Van Jones: Glenn Youngkin represents ‘delta variant of Trumpism’CNN commentator Van Jones said Glenn Youngkin’s in the Virginia governor’s race could be evidence of the emergence of “the delta variant of Trumpism.”Jones suggested that Youngkin, who welcomed Trump’s endorsement in the contest but also sought a distance from the former president, represented the same kind of politics as Trump. But Jones said it came in a packaging that could be better sold to voters and that might help the GOP win elections.”When this election is over we will know, have we seen the emergence of the delta variant of Trumpism,” Jones said Tuesday evening during CNN’s coverage of election night before polls closed.”In other words, Youngkin … same disease, but spreads a lot faster and can get a lot more places,” he added.

I’ll leave you with a clip that should strike fear into the hearts of Democrats.
