Last U.S. Troops Leave Afghanistan: “We did not get everybody out that we wanted to get out”

A plane carrying the last of the U.S. troops in Afghanistan departed Kabul at 3:39 PM ET.

Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth McKenzie said: “Tonight’s withdrawal signifies both the end of the military component of the evacuation, but also the end of the nearly 20 year mission that began in Afghanistan shortly after Sept. 11, 2001.”

But is the war over? We still have Americans in Afghanistan along with numerous allies.
