FBI Destroys Insurrection Narrative: ‘Scant Evidence’ Capitol Riots was Coordinated
Insurrection? I think not.
I doubt the left will stop obsessing over January 6th even as Afghanistan burns.
Sources told Reuters the FBI has not found much evidence that proves anyone coordinated the Capitol Hill riot:
Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.
“Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases,” said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. “Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages.”
It seems the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys wanted to break into the Capitol. The FBI could not find proof “the groups had serious plans about what to do if they made it inside.”
The lack of evidence will put a dent in the prosecution. So far 40 defendants face conspiracy charges. Prosecutors allege these people “engaged in some free of planning before the attack” but have stayed away from serious charges:
They alleged that one Proud Boy leader recruited members and urged them to stockpile bulletproof vests and other military-style equipment in the weeks before the attack and on Jan. 6 sent members forward with a plan to split into groups and make multiple entries to the Capitol.
But so far prosecutors have steered clear of more serious, politically-loaded charges that the sources said had been initially discussed by prosecutors, such as seditious conspiracy or racketeering.
I guess the House does not have to worry about an investigation. I wonder if Rep. Kinzinger will cry over this news.

This is exactly as I thought and exactly what I watched on television a bunch of angry morons did something incredibly stupid (99% of riots). Anger is not a legal defense so the rioters destroyed their lives but perhaps counseling is something that should have it’s stigma done away with to help reduce the chance of rioting.
Lesson for the future-If your narrative is both something that will enrage people and isn’t good enough for a federal judge you appointed yourself don’t take it to the court of public opinion. Our side turned out to be equally human to the Democrats. Biden et all caused riots with their enraging rhetoric to the difference is they have the power to protect their own we don’t and we are the law and order party so wouldn’t want to.

Babbit was breaching a clear barricade whilst trump supporters were smashing a window. It’s no surprise that she was shot. The fact that so few people died is the improbable part, could have been a hell of a lot worse.
Petite white woman, with two police officers behind her, could have easily been stopped. She was not a threat. Most certainly those other two officers knew she was not a threat.
This was reckless discharge of a firearm, minimum manslaughter. An accounting is still in order.
The officers were the other side of the barricade in a mass of Trump supporters and how would the officer who fired know what those officers opinion was you idiot. Who the hell cares if she was petite or not? How was the officer supposed to know if she was armed or not, she made a stupid choice. The particular officer who fired was in an impossible position given the chaos of the day, the huge numbers of rioters, the reports of violence and threats including threats to officers.

Coordinated? Honestly I’m fairly sure no one serious has made that claim. The claim has always been that Trump egged on his followers. The narrative hasn’t really changed at all, it’s called follow the evidence. The evidence is that Trump supporters broke into the capitol building, did a lot of damage, beat up police officers and ran around making vile comments about law enforcement, mike pence etc etc.
