Critics Blast Fauci for Saying New Mask Mandates ‘Under Active Consideration’

As we consider the start of another week of COVID-19 pandemic news, it is an excellent time to remember that all the vaccines are experimental.

And while the vaccines initially seemed to be halting outbreaks and the spread of COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 5,492 “breakthrough” COVID-19 cases in vaccinated individuals as of July 12.

Scientists are using the term “breakthrough” infections for those who get COVID-19 while fully vaccinated, the Associated Press reported. Of the 5,492 of breakthrough cases reported by the CDC, the individuals had to be hospitalized or had died out of over 159 million inoculated U.S. residents. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said 99.5 percent of COVID-19 deaths occurred with unvaccinated individuals.”When you hear about a breakthrough infection, that doesn’t necessarily mean the vaccine is failing,” said the leading U.S. infectious disease specialist, Dr. Anthony Fauci, in front of a Senate panel this week.Top health experts say the vaccines are working since they significantly reduce extreme sickness and death.

Let’s hope that the vaccines genuinely prevent the worst effects of the coronavirus and that the assertion isn’t some face-saving move. We have received so few facts during the pandemic.

Leading expert Dr. Anthony Fauci made his way around n the weekend talk circuit again. During a CNN interview with Jake Tapper this weekend, Fauci indicated that the CDC is considering renewing mask mandates.

According to the Associated Press, Fauci told CNN that he’s taken part in conversations about altering the guidelines, something he described as being “under active consideration.”In May, the CDC issued guidance that said vaccinated people could go without masks in most settings — not including places like airplanes, buses and trains. Last week, a CDC spokesperson told FOX Television Stations, “At this time, we have no intention of changing our masking guidance.”…The CDC and White House have stressed multiple times that more than 99% of recent deaths and hospitalizations from COVID-19 have occurred among the unvaccinated.”This is an issue predominantly among the unvaccinated, which is the reason why we’re out there, practically pleading with the unvaccinated people to go out and get vaccinated,” said Fauci, the chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden.

As a reminder, emails that came out in June showed “Fauci’s blatant, politically-motivated lies to the public but also the great lengths the legacy media and Big Tech went to shut down any discussion of the virus’s origins or mask use efficacy. It was not about stopping the spread of “misinformation” but was a calculated political ploy to shut down the truth.”

As a result, critics are blasting Fauci’s statements.

“Fauci chirping this weekend the vaccinated may well be back behind masks soon,” tweeted conservative columnist Chris Stigall. “Proving this isn’t about anything other than control. It’s sure as hell not about science.””And they wonder why the public doesn’t know who to trust when the messaging is constantly changing,” tweeted Independent Women’s Voice, a conservative policy advocacy organization.

If mask mandates were going to work, they would have already worked. If the vaccines were working as advertised, we wouldn’t be seeing the number of breakthrough cases that we are seeing.

The virus has likely been engineered to adhere to the human respiratory system.  Now it’s become even more transmissible. It is an airborne pathogen, and there are limited, cost-effective ways to remove it from the atmosphere we are all required to breathe.

The time has come to accept that it is ubiquitous, and eventually, likely, we are all going to get a COVID infection. Perhaps, with this in mind, it is best to accept that fact. Everyone should take a long, hard look at how to address their risk factors instead of creating more economy-killing, liberty-crushing rules that clearly can’t, and won’t, work.

Americans are no longer willing to accept a one-size-fits-all mandate from public health officials they no longer trust. The curve may not have been flattened, but our respect for both science and the press sure has.
