The Great Unmasking of the COVID-Origin Coverup Scheme Continues

The Great Unmasking of the COVID-Origin Coverup Scheme Continues

Each new addition to the revised timeline is more troubling than the last.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WA1VW3lsyns

The story behind the schemes to cover-up the probable laboratory-origin of the coronavirus that continues to plague the world continues to be revealed.

To begin with,  lengthy expose in Vanity Fair describes the work of  group of professional scientists and educated, interested volunteers called DRASTIC, short for Decentralized Radical Autonomous Search Team Investigating COVID-19. Their stated objective was to solve the riddle of COVID-19’s origin, thorough detailed review of the all records they could access on China’s coronavirus research…even utilizing Google Translate.

The article also includes interviews of at least four State Department employees who said that they repeatedly were ‘warned’ that an investigation into a possible  leak from the Wuhan lab would ‘open Pandora’s Box, inasmuch as the U.S. government had funded gain-of-function research there.

It ‘smelled like a cover-up,’ Thomas DiNanno told Vanity Fair.

DiNanno, the former acting assistant secretary of the State Department’s Bureau of Arms Control, Verification and Compliance, was one of four State Department officials who told Vanity Fair they wanted to investigate the possibility that COVID-19 spread after it escaped from the Wuhan lab.

The others were David Asher, David Feith and Miles Yu.

But they were muzzled by other State Department officials as well as the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation and even ‘ostracized,’ Yu told Vanity Fair.

…Yu, the State Department’s principal China strategist, found the government’s and scientists’ silence ‘maddening,’ Vanity Fair reported.

He said, ‘Anyone who dares speak out would be ostracized.’

Asher, now a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute who ran the State Department’s day-to-day COVID-19 origins inquiry, told Vanity Fair it became clear that ‘there is a huge gain-of-function bureaucracy’ inside the federal government.

In the wake of recent revelations, one of the 27 lab-leak deniers who signed the infamous Lancet letter denouncing the theory that the virus escaped from a lab in Wuhan has now completely backtracked.

Dr Peter Palese, a microbiologist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, signed the letter in the Lancet in February last year claiming the virus could only have been natural in origin and to suggest otherwise would create ‘fear, rumors, and prejudice’.

The ‘bullying’ letter, orchestrated by Dr Peter Daszak, the head of a non-profit that funnelled U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, was criticized by experts for ostracizing anyone offering different opinions on the virus’ origins, dismissing them as conspiracy theorists.

…Professor Palese, 77, has made a significant U-turn, admitting all theories on how Covid came about now need proper investigating.

He told MailOnline: ‘I believe a thorough investigation about the origin of the Covid-19 virus is needed.

‘A lot of disturbing information has surfaced since the Lancet letter I signed, so I want to see answers covering all questions.’

Asked how he was originally approached to sign the letter and what new information had come to light specifically, Professor Palese declined to comment.

Finally, a Chinese Communist Party military scientist who received funding from the National Institutes of Health filed a patent for a COVID-19 vaccine in February 2020, raising fears the shot was being studied even before the pandemic became public.

Zhou Yusen, a decorated military scientist for the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) who worked alongside the Wuhan Institute of Virology as well as US scientists, filed a patent on Feb. 24 2020, according to documents obtained by The Australian.

The patent — lodged by the “Institute of Military Medicine, Academy of Military Sciences of the PLA” — was filed just five weeks after China admitted there was human-to-human transmission of the virus, and months before Zhou died under mysterious circumstances, the report noted.

“This is something we have never seen achieved before, raising the question of whether this work may have started much earlier,” Prof. Nikolai Petrovsky from Flinders University told the paper.

Adding to the intrigue, Zhou later died under mysterious circumstances in May last year — something being looked into as part of the international investigation ordered by President Biden, the paper insisted.

Each new addition to the revised timeline has been more troubling than the last. One has to wonder what else lies behind the masking of the coronavirus origins.

Everyone with any sense at all already knows that the CCP virus originated in the Wuhan lab, developed with the financial assistance of American taxpayers. Deliberate release? Or accidental? Hard to say, but our government is neither impartial enough nor competent enough to conduct an investigation to find out. It would be a billion dollar boondoggle to only tell us more lies and cover up more dirt, which is why I oppose an investigation.

Olinser in reply to bobtuba. | June 6, 2021 at 9:33 pm

It would be utterly idiotic for it to be deliberate considering it was RIGHT OUTSIDE the lab.

It was almost certainly accidental, but the global spread after release was 100% absolutely deliberate.

There is NO benign explanation for closing domestic flights and leaving international flights open. They intentionally infected the world so they wouldn’t be the only ones hurt by the release.

Barry in reply to Olinser. | June 6, 2021 at 11:41 pm

      “It was almost certainly accidental…”

Possibly, but from everything we know the case can easily be made that it was purposeful.

How you can be “almost certain” is beyond me.

Everything the chinese did says purposeful, everything.

Years ago a famous Providence College basketball player was arrested for holding up a local convenience store. He was not too well-known for his academic prowess and the caper demonstrated why that was so. It was snowing at the time of the robbery, and the B-ball player’s size 14 shoe prints were followed by the police from the site of the robbery to the athlete’s front door.

This is why the CCP wouldn’t have released the virus literally at the front door of the WIV. They are smarter than Marvin Barnes.

InEssence in reply to Olinser. | June 7, 2021 at 1:21 am

      “It was almost certainly accidental”.

There was a conference in Rwanda in the summer of 2019 to determine the details of the vaccine passport that would be needed if a novel corona virus became a pandemic. Another conference was in Brazil in the fall of 2019 where the epidemic models for a novel corona virus was agreed to by a number of nations and private enterprises. In the fall of 2019, another conference was in New York to determine how to control the press and misinformation if novel corona virus pandemic was to occur.

Then there is all the things that happened during covid outbreak. Such as redefining what constituted a pandemic. Breaking Federal law to modify the death certificates that resulted in over stating the number of deaths by a factor of 16. Redefining what herd immunity meant. In the old definition, herd immunity in the USA was reached on 4/11/20. I could go on all night.

Any one of these things would cast doubt on it all being an accident. When 30 to 40 indisputable facts are taken together, the case for a planned release is compelling.

WestRock in reply to InEssence. | June 7, 2021 at 6:30 am

When I read “Years ago a famous Providence College basketball player was arrested…” I immediately think “Tire-iron.”

But like Ernie D’s teammate, just because he did a lot of things well on the court doesn’t take negate his few indiscretions.

We can argue about whether the CCP did this or that but – like Raymond ran a legitimate vending machine business he still controlled “this thing of ours” – the CCP are fallible and sometime the deadliest enemy is the smartest one one the room and in time is susceptible to collapsing due to the failure of a cheaply made 5¢ made-in-China bolt.

Then there was a meeting that discussed such an event in 2010 (and authoritarian control measures they could implement), now exposed by a Dutch MP.

I agree. Outside of certain aspects of the military and propaganda efforts, history shows that Communism is laughably incompetent and gaffe-prone, especially when it comes to science and technology. After some initial successes the Soviet efforts to land a cosmonaut on the Moon quickly became a comedy of errors (the N-1 rocket – the Soviet version of the Saturn V and a nightmare of mechanical fly-by-wire technology – blew up on the launch pad and annihilated much of the Baikonur launch complex).

No. History shows they have the deadliest of dreams and ambitions, and they killed a hundred million people carrying them out. Com symp apologist much?

henrybowman in reply to maxmillion. | June 8, 2021 at 5:14 pm

No, I think you are both right. Socialists have grandiose dreams paired with incompetent talents. (To be fair, many of their major dreams are impossible, and no human has the talent to achieve them.) They hammer the gap between those two closed by using violence, repression, and murder against those who point it out. You see the same thing in American Democrat regimes, except they still have to soft-pedal the murder (for now). But arsons, a pig’s head or two, and a threatening mob outside your front door are still options.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to bobtuba. | June 7, 2021 at 9:47 am

“Hard to say, but our government is neither impartial enough nor competent enough to conduct an investigation to find out.”

I think they are actually competent enough. However, the politicization and the legal and moral culpability of many people in the US government, academia in this dangerous gain of function work makes the US government and these other persons and entities with vested career, monetary or intellectual interest (advocates of gain in function research) completely unsuitable to conduct such an assessment. These are the same people who will claim they are the ones with the most expertise in the area and so should be entrusted to undertake this investigation and assessment.

Fortunately, this corrupted conflict of interest has been exposed with the Lancet letter. The people who run the Lancet must have immediately seen both the conflict of interest inherent in the signatory group, the letter’s the its lack of scientific merit, and that the lab leak theory is obviously more valid. Therefore, I can only conclude the Lancet is also culpable in this fraud.

In any event, anyone who is in favor of gain of function experimentation should not be allowed to investigate the origins of this virus no matter how vigorously they attempt to insert themselves into this process aka the WHO “investigation.”. People on the GIF side of the debate will simply try and cover their butts.

In my opinion, this gain of function experimentation contravenes the Biological Warfare Convention (BWC) and implementing law found at U.S. Code Title 18 PART I CHAPTER 10 § 175. But who are we supposed to rely upon to do this criminal investigation? The FBI? The Justice Department? The “intelligence community”? We know how corrupted these organizations are.

Question (in good faith): Do any of you think—as I do—that all of this Fauci nonsense is nothing more than sound and fury signifying nothing?

As long as the media is in the Dems corner, what difference (at this point) does it make?

Nothing—I repeat—nothing will happen to Fauci.

That is all.

He will be allowed to retire to his dacha in solitude. A ghost-written book will appear with his name on it, 5 million copies will be sold to labor unions as a passthrough to assure his having a good income for the rest of his pathetic life. Other copies of the book will be on the Remainder table of chain bookshops across the nation.

I’d like to think that sentence would actually end with “until Republicans are back in power,” but the undeniable observation that Hillary still isn’t wearing orange calls out my false optimism.

If only a clown like Fauci was the problem. He’s just a stooge. He deserves to hang, but his handlers deserve worse.

His handlers?

Zhou died under mysterious circumstances

That happens a lot in Communist dictatorships.

One has to wonder what else lies behind the masking of the coronavirus origins.

Motive, means, opportunity.

Who most benefitted from the release of the Wuhan virus?

Hint: More than one group of people benefitted tremendously from the release of the Wuhan. And if not for the Wuhan they were losing and would have lost a great deal. Instead they came out on top. And nothing but a crisis like the Wuhan could have produced the same results.

What a truly amazing and incredible coincidence that the people with the most to gain had the means and opportunity to make it happen.

Sanddog in reply to JHogan. | June 6, 2021 at 10:36 pm

You mean the people who want to “fundamentally transform” not only America, but the entire world? Those people? You know even unmasking them won’t stop them. They need to suffer on an unimaginable level so no one ever considers following in their footsteps.

“They need to suffer on an unimaginable level so no one ever considers following in their footsteps.”

That’s their plan for US. At least we know it now, without any doubt.

JHogan in reply to JHogan. | June 6, 2021 at 10:38 pm

One more thing…. The timing was perfect.

John Galt in reply to JHogan. | June 7, 2021 at 5:08 am

    “Motive, means, opportunity.

Who most benefitted from the release of the Wuhan virus?”

This what i’ve been saying almost from the beginning. The 2nd impeachment attempt was failing miserably. 3 people had been arrested for allegedly spying on behalf of China. Trump was bringing back manufacturing and talking more tariffs and he was all but assured of re-election. Snagglepuss Maher had publicly averred what all the dems knew; It would take a recession to defeat Trump.

I can hear China saying “we tried your way. Now we do it OUR way”

henrybowman | June 6, 2021 at 11:14 pm

The ironic thing is that Fauci started all this by doing an end run around Obama, who was the one who ordered cessation of gain-of-function research. This may turn out to be a rich vein of ore indeed.

    kak185ttx in reply to henrybowman. | June 7, 2021 at 3:44 am

The “ban” allowed for an exception. For national security .

      WestRock in reply to kak185ttx. | June 7, 2021 at 6:39 am

But who’s nation? Oy. No one is without sin. We are seeing now how the power of technology and the hand of just one man (or woman) can have global consequences. There may be many people who have left their fingerprints on this mess. I’m starting to wonder if the “who” even matters as much as the “how.” We are entering some potentially pretty dark times where some idiot with access to a laboratory can end all life as we know it.

Lucifer Morningstar in reply to kak185ttx. | June 7, 2021 at 9:59 am

No, it didn’t. Obama’s gain of function ban prohibited all GoF experiments in the United States. They were determined to be too dangerous to perform. And that is why Fauci and the rest secretly outsourced and paid for the experiments do be performed in China. They could not legally have done any GoF research in the United States for any reason.

Of course, Fauci and the rest chose the one country with the worst record in regard to “accidental releases” from a BSL4 lab. But that’s a whole ‘nother topic for discussion.

Hang the old nazi, then find his boss and hang him too, and on up the line until there’s nobody left to answer.

Pearl clutching and wringing of hands won’t stop it.
Arms will stop it.

bullhubbard | June 7, 2021 at 9:37 am

It is apparent that the cover up and lies were largely motivated by Trump Derangement Syndrome, or at least those hiding the truth were using his pronouncements as cover as soon as Trump raised the possibility of the Wuhan virus’s real origin. Here is a quotation from one of many articles, this one from Canada, about Trump’s supposed ignorance and hubris, from 1 May 2020. Subsequent “news” articles from the US are, naturally, much more dismissive–even insulting–to the President’s allegations which are turning out to be quite prescient: https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-suggests-china-may-have-released-covid-19-from-lab-by-mistake-1.5551878

And Trump’s enemies in the deep state bureaucracy were quick to contradict him with the purpose of further discrediting him. The above-mentioned article reports, “federal agencies concur ‘with the wide scientific consensus that the COVID-19 virus was not man-made or genetically modified.'”

Oops . . . hey, Trump said it so it must be insane or at best a lie, right? Now that he is out of office, the grubs are uncurling and coming out from under their rocks to join the bandwagon getting to the truth about the virus’s Chinese origins and, worse, possible US cooperation with Chinese bio-weapons research.

The US is a fascist state (corporate/state symbiosis at the highest economic levels), a soft totalitarianism with only a few constitutional rights remaining, those that cannot be nullified by a Grand Jury, but they are definitely on the ropes; its “legislators” are a craven and venal lot when not trying to directly subvert the state (see the AOC racist shithead “squad”). Our current President likely gained his office through not only a massive campaign of slander and lies from the “guardians of democracy,” the corporate press, but also by Democratic Party operatives who, while not stealing the election outright, skewed the results in favor of the Retard in Chief in a few (now notorious) jurisdictions.

And with a neo-racist social doctrine accepted in virtually all of our institutions, the future does not look too bright, despite a few dissidents here and there who are treated as cranks or outright insane by the bought-and-paid-for corporate media, whose only real critique comes from a few courageous and comparatively underfunded internet journalists, who are also routinely dismissed by the Oligarch Press as liars or subversives or cranks.

Interesting facet in US patent law: you cannot patent a product of nature. So, does the patent application claim the virus has been manipulated? (Assuming the application is for a U S patent, or that the rule is of global application).

Either China purposely released the virus, or China negligently released the virus and covered it up. There is little difference. What we do know is Donald Trump was right.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to AdamVant. | June 7, 2021 at 12:02 pm

It’s not the origin or release that is the real issue, anyway. Once the Wuhan virus was in the Chinese population – however it came to be and however it got there – the Chinese then used it in a bio-attack on America (and the world) when they isolated Wuhan from the rest of China but kept international travel in and out of WUhan going as much as they could, even going so far as to try and cry “rraaaaciststss!!!” when Trump put travel restrictions on. That was an intentional attack by China using unconventional means – an Act of War. Period.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | June 7, 2021 at 11:59 am

‘A lot of disturbing information has surfaced since the Lancet letter I signed, so I want to see answers covering all questions.’

LOL.

What a load of crap. Nothing has “come out” that changed anything. It was clear from the beginning that the most likely source of the Wuhan virus was the Wuhan Institute of Virology just up the street from where it appeared. To have dismissed this without any real proof was clearly nothing but a political move on the art of these traitors – in defense of China and their bio-attack on the US and against President Trump. That much was never in doubt.

And now this guy is trying to walk it back claiming that there is new information … Yeah, now pull the other finger.

If this and to this extreme, then what won’t they lie about at all extremes.

As Ace of Spades posted, If you’ve ever wondered what you would have done in 1939 Germany, now you know.

RandomCrank | June 7, 2021 at 1:01 pm

I have been putting these stories in a directory I labeled “Crazy Shit.” Looks like not so crazy after all. One thing we can be sure of is that Fauci will get away with it.

Juris Doctor | June 7, 2021 at 3:14 pm

30 seconds on pubmed or Google scholar reveals what “created in a lab” is fringe nonsense.

I read the VF article. It’s a decent article, although the author can’t resist the temptation to engage in frequent Trump and Trump supporter-bashing throughout. She apparently doesn’t want to acknowledge that President Trump may have actually had access to information not available to the public and that Steve Bannon and others who pushed the lab origination theory may have been right all along.
