Embattled San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin Blames Police for Crime Crisis

The Recall Chesa Boudin committee has been passing around its petition and appears on track to have the required signatures by an August deadline.

This week,  Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón’s ouster moved a little closer to reality as the Los Angeles County Registrar approved the petition to recall the Soros-backed, ultra-progressive, activist official.

But Gascón isn’t the only California DA in trouble. San Francisco residents are unhappy with DA Chesa Boudin due to the surge in the city’s crime rates.

“We, out in the neighborhoods, and I’ve lived here for 40 years, we don’t see crimes decreasing,” said Caryl Ito.

On the west side of the city, Ito said she’s exhausted with the home break-ins, and she wants change in the district attorney’s office.

“Chesa Boudin believes in restorative justice and reform, and we all want that,” Ito said. “However, I think he’s forgetting about the victims.”

If there is one person at the center of San Francisco’s crime discussion, it is Chesa Boudin; a social justice-minded reformer who campaigned on a platform of decarceration, ending cash bail.

The frustration on the social justice approach to crime has escalated to Boudin now blaming the police for the crime crisis.

District Attorney Chesa Boudin claimed Sunday that placing blame on his prosecutors for crime in San Francisco’s neighborhoods is miscast and should be focused on the police officers union and a poor clearance rate of crimes that are reported to police.

In an interview with KPIX 5’s Ken Basida, Boudin didn’t mince words when it came to a public perception that he is soft on crime — a belief that has spawned two recall campaigns demanding his removal from office.

“Come down to the courthouse and watch what we’re doing,” he said. “Any day of the week, any courtroom. You will see my veteran prosecutors handling cases ranging from shoplifting to murder and doing it with dignity and integrity and doing with zealousness.”

Boudin said the blame should be placed further down the investigative chain.

“The reality is the POA (police officers union) needs someone to point the finger at and this isn’t a new issue,” he said. “Look they were blaming (Vice President) Kamala Harris and attacking her when she was the district attorney. This is an age old problem in San Francisco because the POA wants to get away without doing their job. They want to get away with allowing their officers to send racist text messages, to use excessive force against the community and to engage in systematic violations of civil rights of Black and brown drivers on our streets. And I’m pushing back and demanding that they modernize, that they reform and that they respect all the members of our community.”

I suspect the approach isn’t going to be as effective as Boudin hopes. The Recall Chesa Boudin committee has been passing around its petition and appears on track to have the required signatures by an August deadline.

Richie Greenberg, the recall committee’s principal officer, pointed to a marked increase in the speed and number of petitions gathered, which a raw count has put the tally approaching 20,000 or forty percent.

“We have not yet reached the half-way point in the calendar, so we have plenty of time remaining to the August 11th deadline,” explains Greenberg. “We see [District Attorney] Chesa Boudin has suddenly scheduled community outreach events in reaction to our success, in attempts to counter the negative publicity building against him. He’s concerned, even scared for his job, as he should be.”

Boudin was slated to attend one of the community outreach events for a victimized Chinatown store owner. He failed to show.

Nearly a week after a brazen assault and pepper spray attack on a Chinatown business owner, community members and media gathered, expecting to see San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin appear at the store. Boudin did not appear, leaving some wondering why.

…Boudin has appeared at Asian American events such as rallies and marches in recent weeks in a show of support against the attacks on the AAPI community.

…Boudin never ended up showing up at the store and instead the growing group was met with members of the DA’s office, who hurried inside to meet with Fanly and members of the Chinatown Merchants United Association. The press was instructed to stay outside, citing the need for privacy due to the suspect being a minor.

This walking piece of human garbage isn’t fit to mop the booths in a porno shop. His mother should’ve been put up against the wall years ago. These airheads make him the DA and then are shocked that the results are exactly what every sane observer calmly predicted. It’s tiresome having to share oxygen with these lefty shitbags.

His mother is a Marxist, terrorist POS, that was in prison so she couldn’t put him against a wall.

Shoplifting is such an issue in SF that Walgreens is closing stores left and right and CVS points to the fact that it is not small time thieves at work but organized crime by people who know the law and work to steal just under the $950 threshold over and over again.

Was he really elected, or were voting machines.used? Was Pelosi really re-elected?

What is this white supremacist POS doing being in charge of anything. We must demand he end the white supremacist male patriarchy and immediately resign and confer his position to a black Latinex pan sexual, but before resignation, fire all the white people on his staff, and give all his money and possessions to black people as reparations for his sinful whiteness. We must demand this. We must demand it now!

“Come down to the courthouse and watch what we’re doing,” he said. “Any day of the week, any courtroom. You will see my veteran prosecutors handling cases ranging from shoplifting to murder and doing it with dignity and integrity and doing with zealousness.”

Really? There is a $1,000 minimum on charging for theft, and all of the thieves know it.

Hobble your police with bad policy, then blame them for not chasing the criminals fast enough.

😐

Really, because I blame you and the criminal-assed losers who raised you, “Chesa”, whatever the hell kind of name that is.

Chesa is a Tibetan name for girls meaning Greatness.

    /you asked…

Funny crack. Seriously, Chesa’s terrorist parents combined abbreviations to come up with Chesa: “Che” for Che Guevara with “sa” for South America.
Given his name, it’s interesting that Chesa Boudin spent a year in Venezuela as a translator for Hugo Chavez. Within 24 hours of arriving in Venezuela as an ordinary backpacking Gringo tourist, Chesa got an invitation to Miraflores, the Venezuelan equivalent of our White House. Only left-wing royalty get that sort of treatment.

(In addition to his parents, Chesa’s grandfather and great-uncle on the Boudin side of his family were also prominent lefties. So, “left-wing” royalty does describe Chesa.)

      Figures.

This is what you end up with when you elect a “reformer” instead of a “prosecutor” to be District Attorney. By all means, hold officers accountable if they violate the constitutional or civil rights of citizens, you should do that. But don’t go out and blame the police for the increase in crime if you announce that your office isn’t going to prosecute shoplifters and justify it by saying that would only “criminalize poverty” instead of criminalizing theft.

What do you expect from the son of Domestic Terrorists who was brought up by Domestic Terrorists Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn?? Typical of progressives, they ALWAYS screw things up, and then blame everyone else. So progressive!!!

The man is mentally ill.

Well, to be fair, his family tree is littered with mentally ill people so it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

“Look they were blaming (Vice President) Kamala Harris and attacking her when she was the district attorney.”

More evidence that they have a clue, and you still don’t.

“a brazen assault and pepper spray attack”

ABC7 needs an editor that doesn’t let malapropisms like that get aired.

You can see how insane people are in SF. The reporter in the studio has not mask, but the reporter outside is wearing one.

My bet is on the guy to survive the recall. I don’t like that one bit, but S.F.’s voters seem to love what has happened there.

Im starting to think voting machines are doing the electing, even in SF.

After his year as translator for Hugo Chavez, Chesa Boudin was one of three co-authors of The Venezuelan Revolution: 100 Questions—100 Answers. (2006)

Consider one question, and Chesa’s answer.

(5) ls the current government communist?
Although the Venezuelan Communist Party (PCV) supports the Chávez government and was the first political party (besides his MVR party) to endorse his presidential candidacy in 1998, its members do not currently have any significant positions in the central government. None of the ministers, members of the National Assembly, state governors, or any other highranking public officials are communists.

This may be technically true, but it was apparent years before Chesa arrived in Venezuela that Hugo Chavez worshiped Fidel Castro, who was definitely a Communist. In addition, Hugo had also made transparent his support of such dictators as Lukashenko of Belarus, Gadaffi of Libya or Assad of Syria. Gadaffi gave Hugo Chavez the Al-Gaddafi International Prize for Human Rights, which he also gave to Fidel Castro.

Chesa finishes the answer.

Nonetheless, some sectors of the opposition in Venezuela denounce the Chávez government as communist. Domestically, this rhetoric serves to scare the people, particularly the middle classes, who fear that their political power and modest economic gains will be lost.

Scared? That’s exactly what happened. Even though the opposition won two thirds of the National Assembly seats in the December 2015 legislative elections, Maduro dissolved it and created his own “legislative” apparatus. Similarly, the Venezuelan economy has collapsed, so all “modest economic gains” were indeed lost.

That’s Chesa Boudin- apologist for lefty scum like Hugo Chavez. Since Chesa thinks Hugo was the greatest thing to come around since sliced bread, perhaps Chesa should remodel the San Francisco police along the lines of police in Venezuela. In the US, police kill about 1,000 civilians a year. In Venezuela, police kill about 5,000 civilians a year. As Venezuela’s population is about a tenth of the US, that would be the equivalent of 50,000 police killings a year in the US- compared to 1,000.

RIght get rid of the cop and there is no more crime. How low does your IQ have to be to buy in that?

Some more news from The City. (These days, better known as The #$tty. ) DA Boudin won’t pursue hate crime in stabbing of two women in San Francisco

The incident sparked national outrage. Both victims are of Asian ancestry; one woman 85-years-old, the other 63. Both women survived the attack, but District Attorney Boudin said he felt the need to step into the courtroom himself to prosecute the case.

“I’m outraged at the violence against the vulnerable elderly members in our community,” said Boudin. “We’ve seen a wave of violence against Asian American Pacific Islanders in particular. Enough is enough.”
But, District Attorney Boudin said at this point he will not pursue hate crime charges in this case. “Here, based on available evidence, we could not even prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he knew they were Asian, much less that their identity is what motivated the crime.”

Outraged, like the cop in Casablanca “discovering” that there is gambling going on? Outraged over crime increasing as a consequence of your catch-and-release policy of law enforcement? Don’t worry, Chesa, there’s going to be a lot more future outrage over your catch-and-release policy of law enforcement.

The accused is black. Perhaps Chesa believes that blacks shouldn’t be prosecuted for hate crimes.Rest assured that if a MAGA hat wearer were the accused- as rare as MAGA hat sightings may be in San Francisco- Chesa would have prosecuted for a hate crime.

““Chesa Boudin believes in restorative justice and reform, and we all want that,” Ito said. “However, I think he’s forgetting about the victims.”

These rubes really don’t understand the concept of “you get what you pay/vote for.”

The self-congratulatory Dhimmi-crats in San Francisco and L.A. willfully elect card-carrying, Dhimmi-crat radicals who enable, coddle and otherwise empower criminals at every opportunity — with these traits well-known, by the electorate — and, then, they are surprised when, post-election, crime rates skyrocket.

It’s to tiring to work up to giving a sh– about these people … So I’m not going to

Resist MARXIST Oppression….

How did he get installed into the DA’s office anyway? You in SF were such good little Obama sheeple and you’ve had Pitiful Pelosi for how many decades? You haven’t objected to this before because it wasn’t in YOUR neighborhood. It’s an entirely different story now. What was once a beautiful city is now nothing more than a slum. San Franciscans created that mess and, now that you have to live in it, you want to cry foul. If you don’t like it, petition for Chesa’s removal. Be careful though when you vote. If Dominion is anywhere near, he will win in a landslide. Better demand paper ballots and have lots of poll watchers and count watchers! Decades of Democrat-cy has gotten you this. If you don’t like it, YOU have to change it!!
