Democrat Politicians Get Conservative Student Group Cancelled Over Poster Mocking Chinese Communist Party

“The poster was taken down pending an investigation”

Two elected Democrat officials in Illinois stepped in to stop a student group from mocking communist China. Are you seeing the bigger picture yet?

The College Fix reports:

Democratic politicians get Turning Point student group canceled over poster mocking China

A pair of Illinois Democrats have succeeded in silencing and canceling a high school Turning Point USA chapter after the group hung up a poster that criticized the Chinese Communist Party.

“Upon learning of the context of the poster that Glenbrook South’s chapter of Turning Point USA submitted it was taken down, recognizing that it wasn’t in compliance with our policies and guidelines,” District 225 administrators told The College Fix via email through a media representative when asked about the Glenbrook South High School situation.

“During the course of that investigation, the sponsor elected to discontinue his sponsorship and the District’s policies require there be a sponsor for all active clubs,” the school officials said.

When asked specifically what policies or guidelines were broken, the district said it took down the poster while there was an investigation and then the sponsor quit, meaning the group had to be disbanded.

“The poster was taken down pending an investigation,” the officials said. “During the course of that investigation, the sponsor elected to discontinue his sponsorship and the District’s policies require there be a sponsor for all active clubs. Only clubs that are active are able to post materials within the school.”

The poster included a photo from a popular online game called “Among Us,” where players try to guess who the enemy is. The poster said “China is kinda sus,” meaning suspicious or suspect, and included a cartoonish character in red with the Communist hammer and sickle on it.

The photo drew the ire of state senator Lauren Fine and state representative Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz.

“If you want to find out who rules you, find out who you are not allowed to criticize.”

The CCP is their sacred cow.

Wow, what a coincidence!
Did CSI check the prof’s sheets for horse blood?

I guess these two have managed to solve Illinois’ massive pension problem, corruption, resident flight and had nothing else to do but to attack high school students and prop up the Communist Chinese.

No pension problem anymore. They got Joey B money flowing their way for the next decade.

I would like to see the entire poster instead of the little snippet used in this article.

Why does every Democrat seem to either be a Communist or a Fellow Traveler these days?

Democratic Party is the great evil of our time why would they permit attacks on the CCP they wish to emulate?

Seems a clear and blatant violation of the First Amendment rights. Might want to review a Supreme Court case called Tinker v. Des Moines, 393 U.S. 503 (1969) concerning what high schools can censor.
