President Joe Biden will sign an executive order to form a commission to study expanding the Supreme Court and other possible changes.
The White House statement claims the commission has “a bipartisan group of experts on the Court and the Court reform debate.”

The Commission’s purpose is to provide an analysis of the principal arguments in the contemporary public debate for and against Supreme Court reform, including an appraisal of the merits and legality of particular reform proposals. The topics it will examine include the genesis of the reform debate; the Court’s role in the Constitutional system; the length of service and turnover of justices on the Court; the membership and size of the Court; and the Court’s case selection, rules, and practices.To ensure that the Commission’s report is comprehensive and informed by a diverse spectrum of views, it will hold public meetings to hear the views of other experts, and groups and interested individuals with varied perspectives on the issues it will be examining. The Executive Order directs that the Commission complete its report within 180 days of its first public meeting. This action is part of the Administration’s commitment to closely study measures to improve the federal judiciary, including those that would expand access the court system.
The commission includes Russia Collusion hoax nutter Laurence Tribe. Even BuzzFeed News laughed at him.
It is no secret the left wants to pack the court and change other parts in order to make sure everything goes their way. They lost their minds when Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died. Then-President Donald Trump had the nerve to do his job and nominate someone to the court. He dared to nominate a conservative Catholic female!
It got scary, though, when the left changed the definition of “court-packing.” The left has a tendency to change definitions and people just go with it.
Court-Packing means putting more than nine justices on the court. The left now says “court-packing” means stuffing it with conservatives.
It’s so out of hand that Harvard Political Review published a piece that claimed Republicans already packed the court so Democrats should do it, too.
Reality: No, they have not.
Then-Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer declared in September that “everything is on the table” when asked what the Democrats plan to do if Biden and the part won the Senate in November 2020. (I love how CNN described Schumer as a moderate)
In January, progressive groups came together and formed “Unrig the Courts.” They applied pressure to newly inaugurated President Joe Biden to reform SCOTUS, including adding more justices.
