I have been anti-Disney for years. I have refused to give them my money for about 15 years now. My friends are surprised and kind of dumbfounded, since Disney is “a family” company, with movies “for kids.” Um. No. Not since Walt died. We do own some of those older movies, but no princesses (oddly, I found the Barbie movies more to my liking for my little girls).
But in the past year or so, I am having more conversations with those same friends about WHY I dislike Disney. And more and more are coming to see what I do.
And my kids are growing up – 2 old enough to be on their own. And they do not like Disney; or rather they have not grown up worshipping at the mouse alter, and will not invite them into their homes either.
Over the decades the left has not only been less include to debate but less include to be able to defend their slimy ideas in a debate. The only opinion has become shutting that debate down without debate.
It wasn’t woke people at Disney who cancelled Gina Carano. As long as she stuck to mainline conservative comments she was fine. But she pissed off Disney’s biggest stockholder, Jewish billionaire Ike Perlmutter with a dumb dumb line about the holocaust. So she kissed her job bye-bye.
