Barr just wasted everyone’s time.

    TX-rifraph in reply to heyjoojoo. | December 14, 2020 at 6:31 pm

    That was the plan.

Just another deep state SOB, like the rest of them. Trump has been betrayed by just about anyone who could betray him.

Being an “outsider”, he really had no idea just how pervasive, insidious and degenerate government is.

Did not know or is capable of using it as part of a strategy….

The evidence of all this corruption has been documented in research and documents for decades.

      Confessions of a DC Madame

      And

      The Franklin Affair

      Are just two of them.

    “Wasted everyone’s time”

    Wow – what an understatement.

Barr, it turns out, is as crooked and as treasonous as traitorous as anyone we were hoping he’d rescue our nation from.

He is the worst of the worst. No hell is horrible enough for this guy, after what his treachery is about to unleash.

      notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to TheFineReport.com. | December 14, 2020 at 9:19 pm

We must outlaw all Ivy League graduates from ever holding any jobs in the public sector.

Food for thought at least – Devil’s Advocate…..

henrybowman in reply to heyjoojoo. | December 14, 2020 at 10:20 pm

Incredibly, he still seems to have Trump hypnotized. This is some real (-3)-D chess here.

Good.. The P.O.S Barr should have fallen on his sword sooner!

I remember when Barr was going to restore confidence in the DOJ and the FBI.

What a waste.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to MattMusson. | December 14, 2020 at 6:26 pm

    Is that even possible.

We were all suckers. We could never imagine Barr being as great a traitor as clinton or obama.

    Turns out, he’s worse.

Barr did more damage to our nation than clinton and obama combined. In effect, he has sold our nation to the Communist Chinese.

The hell that will be unleashed in the near future because of Barr’s treason will rival any world war.

No. We were not ‘all’ suckers.

PLENTY of us sounded the alarm and beat the drum starting years ago that Barr was another Deep State piece of trash who had no intention of ever doing anything to hold the Deep State accountable.

Stop trying to lump us in with YOUR failure to see reality.

No sense in being the last rat off of the sinking ship.

I wonder if this is a precursor to a pardon for Julian Assange? Having successfully run out the clock on the corrupt intelligence agencies, I doubt Barr would be on board for that.

Barr did restore confidence in the DOJ and FBI. They remained confident they were untouchable.

This was appropriate at any point in his tenure. Why now?

Et tu, Brute?

TheFineReport will be here shortly. He is busy doing his happy dance.

What a perfect waste of a Presidency William Barr turned out to be. He bears a lot of responsibility for everything that did and didn’t happen to ensure 1) President Trump was reelected, 2) Hunter Biden was jailed, 3) Obama was exposed as the traitorous rat he is, 4) Biden faded away into his own sunset, and 5) Hillary …. well, Hillary something.

LeftWingLock in reply to WestRock. | December 14, 2020 at 6:58 pm

West Rock — All those are fine but the thing that gets me is we have PROOF that people lied to the courts, PROOF that FBI rules were not followed, PROOF that information was leaked to the press, PROOF that confidential information was illegally viewed and shared with third parties, etc. And Barr’s organization couldn’t find a single person to indict.

WestRock in reply to LeftWingLock. | December 14, 2020 at 8:09 pm

Politics (and a decent chunk of the rest of our country, including most of big-Tech and the media) is corrupt. Trump has been right all along in trying to drain the swamp. He’s just one man in the middle of the Everglades with a hand-pump. 🙁

Here’s TheFineReport doing his happy dance. Only TheFineReport is not happy – he was right, but he is not happy.

Our nation is no more. We are ruled by a mafia, beholden to the Communist Chinese. Soon we will go the way of modern-day Hong Kong, and be absorbed.

We must secede before we are destroyed.

On the bright side Barr has more time to play his bagpipes. Maybe the next AG will figure out the rule of law.

You have to have the will to suffer for the good or you won’t do it… William Barr is a mediocre man in this regard (it seems to me).

Put the fraud back in the DOJ and FBI.

Just another RINO gimp playing for time to get Biden safely elected.

Barr was worse than useless. He not only refused to do anything, he kept anybody ELSE from occupying the position and being effective.

Barr was the ultimate talk show tough guy.

The ONLY reason Barr is not the worst Republican AG in history is because he immediately followed Sessionzzzzz.

Next comes the book deal.

I always respected Bill Barr, until the rubber met the road and he chose the Deep State rather than Justice.

Barr is a great legal administrator and intellectual – always has been – with a flair.

Comparing Barr with Eric Holder is like comparing Oliver Wendell Holmes to Stacy Abrams.

Nevertheless, Barr apparently followed the political policy espoused in Holder’s March 9, 2012 Memo to DOJ employees and refused to acknowledge the investigation of Hunter Biden pre-election – that the media lied about en masse.

It pains me to admit that the tough-talking Barr apparently took the easy way out lest he be vilified by the media like Comey.

I hope he will not live with this easily – Eric/Holder/Barr doesn’t have a great ring.

I have more respect for Holder: he never hid his cards.

Barr, on the other hand, is a subversive, in every pejorative sense of the word.

Barr will turn out to be the most consequential traitor in our former nation’s history.

Ok, ok. Enough rocks, please.
First, positive Barr points:
-He absolutely hammered flat the Dems expectations from the Mueller report, so badly that their inevitable impeachment attempt went from charging Federal crimes down to making a phone call.
-He and his investigators wedged loose the declassified documents on the Flynn case that showed quite obviously that Flynn was set up, and he committed no crime.
Second, why now?
-He was going to be out next month at this time anyway. This gives him time to get unwrapped from the job, debriefed, documents cleared, etc… All with a friendly DOJ, which will make it much easier.
-This yanks the Biden talking point that was certainly coming down the road that would have gone roughly “The minute I’m in office, I’m firing Barr.”
-Incoming administration briefings will be handed off to individuals who will still be there months from now, which will contribute to stability at the agency, since the new AG is going to be a rolling disaster and will try to blame Barr for the outgoing briefing if he was there.

Barr did one thing, and it has doomed our nation: he allowed an election to be overtly stolen, and two corrupt leftists to march into power who will absolutely destroy the Constitution.

No ‘good’ Barr has done offsets this by ANY stretch of the imagination.

Sessions was bad enough of a rat, but Barr put a stake through the heart of our nation. Our Constitutional Republic is no more. It is an oligarchy, and as corrupt as a banana republic.

Joe Biden Snaps Reporter’s Head Off for Shouting Questions About Hunter Biden – Then Shuffles (VIDEO)

    Gateway Pundit

Barr stopped the Mueller investigation. Thank you, AG Barr.

He did what any double-agent does: show your loyalty, then cut the throat of those that you lulled into your trust.

Barr is a massive traitor. What the Chinese Communists and Russia could not do with nuclear weapons, Barr did by treasonous fraud.

Olinser in reply to stablesort. | December 14, 2020 at 10:29 pm

He ‘stopped’ the investigation by letting them do literally everything conceivable to try and find ANY dirt on Trump before finally telling them that it was time to move on to OTHER ways to Get Trump.

Pretty amazing how the FBI and DOJ had possession of the Hunter laptop PROVING exactly how corrupt he was, while Congress went through their sham impeachment.

Had Bill Barr pursued an aggressive PUBLIC stance against the bidens or democrats prior to the election, their howling would have been deafening and would have had a detrimental effect on the Trump campaig/administration. The strategy was to stay out of the democrats way while they cheated and committed even more crimes. Again, PDJT warned the democrats they were being watched, their strategy was known, and not to follow through or there would be severe consequences. I’m confident history will show Bill Barr worked quietly behind the scenes, appearing weak while he was in fact strong, letting the democrats believe he was either helping them or at least being feckless. Coming up: Election fraud exposure/prosecution, the takedown of violent leftist elements, movement on Spygate and the cases that made Spygate necessary for the democrats.

“their howling would have been deafening…”

You sound like the French and British, after Hitler marched into the Rhineland and could have easily been stopped.

Who gives a shit about hollywood idiots ‘howling’? WE LOST OUR COUNTRY. IT. IS. OVER.

I don’t seen a mention of “hollywood” in my post. Oddly enough, I don’t see the word resign in any form in Bill Barrs letter either. He uses “Depart” which seems strange. Probably doesn’t mean anything, but as a document that will enter the historical record, the whole thing seems odd. Anyway, we have differing opinions, which is fine, but I will never surrender to the notion we have lost our country. This fight isn’t over, I believe PDJT crushed biden in every metric on election night until they stopped the count to perpetrate massive election fraud. If there is anyone wringing hands about the Rhineland, it isn’t me.

None of that matters, Biden didn’t win the election, Trump lost the counting.

Bill Barr’s main job was to “save” the Union. Exposure, and especially prosecution, of those involved in the illegal activities directed toward DJT would have crashed the government. Barr’s job was to safeguard the interests of a specific faction of the Establishment. Part of that job was to reduce the illegal pressure on Trump. He tried to do that. He was successful with the Mueller fiasco. He was less successful with Jeffrey Epstein debacle. In the long run, he was unable to get the “Get Trump At All Costs Faction” of the Establishment to back-off, even a little. Now, his usefulness to Trump is not only at an end, Trump is POed. So, time to bail and save his rep.

People forget the most important thing about politics and DC politics in particular, they are totally controlled by one faction or another of the Establishment. Trump was not a part of the Establishment and proved to be uncontrollable and the Establishment wanted him gone.

To fail at the Epstein murder, to fail at hillary clinton’s treason and fraud, to fail at biden’s treason and fraud, to fail at — you know where I’m going.

For Barr to fail at what he did, he’d have to be deaf, dumb and blind.

Instead, he’s a traitor. It’s really that simple. Just ask Wray, who remains head of what will now come to more resemble the Stasi than the FBI.

We lost our Constitutional Republic. We live in an oligarchy, and it’s for sale. Communist China has bought most of it.

Whehter Barr is a traitor or not is a matter of opinion.

Here is the problem which faced Barr, the rest of the Establishment and even DJT. If all of the government agents who violated the law were prosecuted, it would have destroyed this entire federal government. Take don the Clintons and they drag down a whole herd of other Swamp Dwellers. The same is true of Comey, Brennan, the rest of the Obama administration including then POTUS, Barry Sowetoro. The damage would have slopped over onto most of the GOP politicians there as well. Why do you think there was a mass exodus of GOP Congress Critters in 2017 and 2018?

Now, there was a faction of the Elite Establishment which was determined to destroy Trump at all costs. In 2018, another Establishment faction became concerned that continued attacks on Trump would lead to the point we are at today, on the verge of the destruction of the nation. This faction made a deal with Trump to stop the attacks and Bill Barr was supposed to “fix” the problem. To do this he brought pressure to bear on the other faction. He was successful with the Mueller SC. When this did not stop the other faction, he tried other things, such as the arrest of Epstein, who was a threat to a number of power Establishment people, including the Clintons. That failed. His job was not to clean up DC, but to maintain the status quo, for the Establishment. That was obvious from the get-go. And, I do not understand why this surprises anyone at all. No one, NO ONE, who has been in DC for any length of time, with the exception of Trump, is either a member of the Establishment or controlled by it. Barr has been part of the federal government for decades, on and off. He was known as a “fixer”, for the Establishment. And, that was his job this time. But, he failed to keep the Get Trump faction pushing the nation to the brink of collapse. And, now we are where we are.

Good bye, good riddance.

He did nothing to address the corruption in the DOJ. After he made sure—by hook or by crook—that DJT would not be reelected, he simply lateraled the ? to Durham and told him to finish running out the clock.

The republic as we know it is lost. I see nothing on the horizon (or anywhere else) to make me feel differently.

Heavy sigh.

He could have NOT issued a public statement and nobody would have noticed.

Too bad his letter wasn’t a suicide note.

After his treason, it’s the only honorable thing to do.

Ok, question seen roughly on Twitter:
Barr is resigning at the end of the month.
Trump has nearly two weeks as President in January.
A Special Counsel appointed to look into election fraud or Biden’s foreign influence has to be (from the statute) not a Federal employee at the time they are appointed.
Barr won’t be a Federal employee in January.

Hm… Pure conjuncture or possible end run?

Hard to get swamp monsters to go after other swamp monsters.

How lucky we are to have such staunch, resolute people on our side. Looks like replacing Jeff Sessions with Ralph Kramden had the same effect. What a waste. What a shame.
